Cerebral Palsy and Seizures

I have a 4 yo son with Cerebral Palsy and Seizures.

I gave birth to him at 31 weeks due to low amniotic fluid  and had to undergo
emergency CS. He stayed in the NICU for 41 days and had to breathe through
a ventilator and CPAP for 2 days. The doctors said he  might not live if he will
not breathe on his own.

Days passed and tests had to be done (aside from the usual new born screening).
CT scan was administered to him. Sadly, we found out he has cerebral palsy - oxygen deprivation to the brain which affects the motor skills and development of a person. After 3 months, seizures were present and seizure meds were given to manage frequent seizures. We had to manage the seizures so he can develop. He is also unable to swallow solid food and blended food is always given to him.

He's undergoing OT/PT and oral therapy 3x a week (since 5 month old). Until now, no head control, unable to sit, talk. But, we remain positive amidst the trials.

Anyone with the same experience? You might want to share your experience having a child with Cerebral Palsy and Seizures.

May CP din anak ko sis. 24hours after birth diretso siya sa Nicu kasi walang tigil iyak tsaka nagka-seizure, yun pala na-diagnose may sepsis siya which is infection sa dugo. Then after 4months na-noticed ko nagka-head lag siya tsaka di pa marunong dumapa, dedma ko pa baka late lang then came 7months diyan pa siya dumapa. Pagka 9 months nag start na mag crawl na parang uod hanggang sa army crawl. 1 year old pina check ko sa neuro pedia, may abnormal spikes nga nakita sa eeg. pero di naman nakalagay sa eeg result na may cerebral palsy siya. so binigyan na siya keppra until now inom pa din. nakakalakad siya ngayon pero hawak pa din sa kamay ko. pero minsan mag walk siya on her own pero short distance lang. tsaka may contracture siya sa right foot niya pero di gaano kasi na fa flat pa din niya minsan pag mag walk. may KAFO din siya for that. 5 years old na siya ngayon. slow masyado development pero na-aachieve din naman.
