Prayer Against The Evil Eye, of Lust, Malice, Envy, Jealousy and Hatred against Usog or Balis
The evil eye is a human look believed to cause harm to someone or something else. The harm may come in the form of anything from a minor misfortune to disease, injury or even death. The evil eye is essentially a specific type of magical curse, and has its roots in magical thinking and superstition. Symptoms of illness caused by the evil eye include loss of appetite, excessive yawning, hiccups, vomiting, and fever. It is always best for the person to wear sacramental devoutly like the Medal of St. Benedict and live a life of grace and virtue. It affects most especially those who have psychic openings including children.
The victim says this prayer devotedly and with faith, if they are of age, or by the parents or elders or person legitimately responsible for the care of children and incapacitated persons.
No traditional or folk remedy rooted in superstition should be used. Only Holy Water and/or Blessed Oil must be used for anointing. Potable holy water for drinking and blessed salt can also be given.
In the name of the + Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Lord have mercy. (3x)
God, our Lord, King of ages, All-powerful and Almighty, you who made everything and who transform everything simply by your will; you who changed into dew the flames of the seven-times hotter furnace and protected and saved your three holy children;
You are the doctor and physician of our soul. You are the salvation of those who turn to you, I beseech you to make powerless, banish, and drive out every diabolic power, presence, and machination; every evil influence, malefice, or evil eye and all evil actions aimed against (or against N).
Where there is envy and malice, give me an abundance of goodness, endurance, victory, and charity. O Lord, you who love man, I beg you to reach out your powerful hands and your most high and mighty arms and come to our aid.
Send your angel of peace over me (over N), to protect me (him/her/them) body and soul. May he keep at bay and vanquish every evil power, every poison or malice invoked against me (or against N) by corrupt and envious people. (3x)
Then under the protection of your authority may I (they) sing with gratitude, The Lord is my salvation; whom should I fear? I will not fear evil because you are with me, my God, my strength, my powerful Lord, Lord of peace, Father of all ages. Amen.
In the case of usog or balis, trace in the form of a cross generous amounts of blessed oil or holy water on the part that is in pain while saying:
Through this anointing of the blessed oil (or holy water), and by the + sign of Christ?s life-giving and healing cross, heal your servant, O Lord, and expel all unclean spirits that cause this affliction. In the name of the + Father, and of the + Son, and of the + Holy Spirit. Amen.
(at least 3x or until the pain is relieved)
Potable holy water and/or blessed salt can also be given to the victim while the anointing is being done.
Devoutly and reverently, pray as Thanksgiving.
We give You thanks, Almighty God, for this healing and deliverance and for all the blessings which You have bestowed on us. You Who live and reign forever and ever, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
