IT entry level career or public servant jobs? help..

so graduate ako ng BSIT at may previous work experience ako for 6 months bilang isang IT instructor. Nakapasa na din ako ng Civil service exam.

Nag titingin tingin din ako online ng job postings na IT related na careers pati sa government. balak ko sana sa manila area mag work. I don't mean to compare. I'm aware naman na parehas na mahirap makapasok sa mga yun.

Ano ano po bang companies ang ayos magpasahod or ok mag bigay ng benefits sa entry level na IT staff, except call center jobs?

and sa gov't naman (pertaining to non-IT positions), lets say mga admin staff or other job positions na pwedi ang any four year course graduate. ano anong job title ang pweding applyan be it on national office, head office or regional office in central luzon? sa landbank din ako nag ojt dati pero mahirap daw makapasok sa head office at mga business related course lang ba ang tinatanggap nila ? Tia

No idea sa mga government offices, pero alam ko okay benefits don.

Kung entry level, suggest ko try sa Accenture. Though BPO din sya pero mostly IT ang mga accounts nila.

yung nga daw maganda benefits at wala daw minimum minimum na salary sa gov't offices. yun nga lang parang ang hirap makapasok ng work dun.

sa accenture nun ko pa nadidinig yun parang promising nga ang salary sa job postings nila sa jobstreet pero ang gusto ko sana hindi CSA positions yung IT field [textspeak!] mga IT consultant, pprogrammer if naghihire sila ng less than 6 months palang ang experience

^ marami ganon position sa kanila sis. Hindi puro CSA posts. Yung ibang post mga IT Project Engineer, Network Engineer, Test and install mga ganon. I have a friend, I think sa Deployment sya, although di nya sinabi what account, pinadala sila sa US. So more than the salary itself, madami opportunities din talaga.
Medyo may bad feedback lang na overworked employees sa ibang accounts.
Mahirap din kasi talaga pili if wala pa masyado experience.

nung panahon ko kahit hinde IT graduate pwede magapply dyan but I think now dapat IT or IT related graduate na ata. ( may mga projectmate pa ako nun graduate ng nursing/comm arts etc) ang dali pa nun makapasok sa accenture.
I don't know if ganito pa din process ah. But there will be a 2 day new joiner orientation (lahat ng new hires) after nun tska mo madedetermine anong project or capability ka, either magiging programmer ka or testing. Ngayon ata may bootcamp na dapat makapasa ka. Nung time ko kasi 1 buwan kami sa bench nung mga batchmate ko para lang kami naglalaro until isa-isa kami malagay sa project.

mahirap daw ang exam para sa IT related na job sa accenture? I remember yung prof ko dte hindi nakapasa dun dunno anung position ina-aapplyan niya. nakaka dis courage lang kasi hindi karamihan ng It grad ay privileged na makapag work sa IT field talga kahit gustuhin man nila. pero I'll try. hindi lang talaga ako pamilyar sa positions at job descriptions nila .. maraming salamat!

matagal ba ang application process nila if kunware naka pasa sa exam? mga months or a year ganun? sa Bdo kasi napaka tagal naka pag work na ko at lahat nun palang tumwag

Go for the IT field. IT is a never ending booming industry, ang daming career na pwede, and it only gets bigger by the day. Also, IT professionals are generally well paid both locally and abroad.

6 years na since I resigned from Accenture kaya hinde na ako updated sa hiring process nila. Basta nung time na nagapply ako mabilis lang that was 2007, I graduated October, same time pinasa ko resume ko tru referral, I bumped into a former classmate na working in Accenture, wala ako idea sa accenture, wala pa din ako balak magtrabaho but she encouraged me to submit, try ko lang daw.
Nov, I got a call for an exam, sa Netopia megamall pa yung exam ah, medyo mahirap since ECE naman background ko talaga not  IT  (I was leaning towards to work as Comms Engr). A few weeks after I received another call, I thought it was for an interview nagulat na lang ako may Job Offer na agad. December nagstart na ako. Di ba ang bilis lang? Ganun lang process dati, mass hiring pa sila nung time na yun.

I know things are different now. Try ko magask sa mga officemates ko now, ang dami nila galing Accenture kakaresign lang last year.

true sinabi ni sis simang, never ending ang pagboom ng IT, techonology just gets better everyday. And yes, madaming career, you can for go software, hardware, network etc. and IT professionals are generally well paid. I worked abroad for 5 years after accenture, hinde man ako pinalad sa super laking sweldo gaya ng iba , pwede pwede na din

I don't think I'm qualified to most of those job posting na may dreamy salary sa IT field that is why target ko din ang gov't para makapag aral ako sa gusto ko talagang field. yun lang impossible since  wala pa akong pang masters dahil jobless ako ngayun at im running out of money from my leave pay so I have to think things through carefully. sa ibang thread may nabasa ako regarding sa mga non IT na nasa IT field ngayun nagsimula sila sa programmer trainee job. nakalimutan ko na yung php's at ibang crucial na programming languages na needed ng most firms kasi mga 1 year ako na walang laptop dahil nasira then  nung nagturo naman ako basic lang ang hawak kong subjects at since busy ayun di ko na din narefresh yung knowledge ko sa programming na yun, to make things worse pinahiram lang ako ng laptop and Isosoli ko na din sya soon so, yeah ayun. any advice? I'm considering nga din sa IT field pero ano anong entry level na pwepwedi kaya ako given sa situation ko? na medyo ok naman ang salary at hindi ako kakapusin dahil magboboard pa ako sa Manila

^  Go for the entry level IT consultant positions. Ittrain ka nila. Saka ka na mag worry kung di mo alam kapag nakapasok ka na. Most likely logic at analytical thinking lang naman ang need sa mga entry level positions. Kayang kaya mo yun.

I'm not an IT grad but I'm working as an IT consultant for 7 years now.  No idea with anything technical noong nagstart ako and I was a fresh grad when the company hired me.  They gave me a logic type of exam and then isang interview of what I did for my thesis, after a month I already started.  Lahat ng alam ko, I got it from their trainings. Starting pay was low but the HMO benefit is good.  eventually, you will get a raise, ganun naman talaga i think, lahat tayo magstart sa mababa pero work hard and you'll get rewarded.   For me maganda ang IT, di ako nagsisi that I took a chance to work in this field. A lot of training opportunities and if you are lucky, you may be sent abroad for it din.  And as our other sis here said, daming options, like Accenture, HP, IBM, Teradata etc..   As an IT professional lang, you will always need to update what you know kasi laging may bagong technology.  Try mo sis, walang mawawala, saka mo na isipin pag may job offer sayo if fit ba sa gusto mo yung binibigay nila, then you can always decline if di mo gusto

^^ I agree with  you sis hunny88. I just shifted from electronics to IT, and since nagsisimula pa lang ako, mababa pa. Pero I know pag nagtiyaga at nagsipag ako, mas okay ang rewards and benefits sa IT industry

Hi mga sis! salamat sa sumagot, mag one year na pala itong thread ko? haha. ayun nag apply nga ako sa IT position sa isang firm, pero sa background check ata ako bumagsak. kaya baka maghanap muna ko ng ibang work kasi nauubos natin financial savings ko. mag iipon muna ako at review review na din ng posibleng pre employment exams. Target ko ang ASE much better if IT consultant yung talagang consultant pero pang pro level na ata yun.

dati nalilito pa ako sa terms at nag aalangan if makakapasok ako sa qualifications for an IT post considering na madaming programming language na ang nagsulputan. pero I learned na even career shifter ay pwede sa entry level ng IT as long as makapasa sa exams.

talaga bang matagal ang application process sa IT companies or sa accenture or fujitsu lang? magpapadagdag muna ako ng experience, feeling dun ako bumagsak kasi pasado naman daw ako sa interviews JO na nga lang hinihintay pero naka receive ako ng regret letter.
