Hi ladies, is it worth it to get 2 different HMUA suppliers (1 for you, 1 for your entourage), or pwedeng isang team na lang for everyone? Wondering lang if magkakaroong ng timing issues and whatnot if it's just one team, pero if 2 teams baka masyado na madaming tao sa prep area (do the hotel venues limit this?) Appreciate your inputs!

Hi cbj021! I got 2 different HMUA teams on my wedding day. One for me and my mom/mom-in-law and another team for my entourage. Reason why is because of time management and medyo pricey yung additional heads sa HMUA ko (Muriel Vega Perez). I have 10 entourage kasi.

The other team that I got for my entourage has 3 make up artist and 1 for the hair. They started 8am and finished around 12:30nn.

I guess it will depend kung ilan ang entourage mo and ilan yung kayang i-allocate na artists for the HMUA that you booked for you. If like me, na madami and entourage... I suggest get another team para hindi din divided yung attention ng make-up artist mo sayo.

^thanks sis Winkar22! I'm having 2 hmua trials kasi (both recommended by friends), same price naman sila halos. One of them mentioned upto 4 lang kaya niya, including bride (i'm assuming ganun din yung best case scenario for the other). Siguro depende na lang which trial i like best, siya na lang sa akin haha.

But was it an issue having so many people in the room? Were all 10 of your ladies in the same room, with the 2 HMUA teams, or you had to get an extra room for them pa?

Hi sis cbj021, I also got two HMUA teams on my wedding: Makeup by Kzee (Bride) and Glow by Gerly (Entourage)

We booked a total of 5 rooms the day before the wedding kaya we had no problem accommodating the two HMUA teams, the bridal HMUA stayed in my room and the entourage HMUA stayed in my parent's room.

Although tingin ko dapat ang bridal HMUA is hindi sa room ko kasi medyo masikip pa din dahil madami din siyang inayusan.

I would also suggest asking your HMUA kung ilan silang dadating on the day of the wedding. Mas mabilis if more than 2 ang magmamake-up for more than 10 people para sulit din sa photos

@cbj02, separate room sila. One of the relatives of my husband offered their room para sa makeup ng entourage. Pumunta na lang sila sa room ko after maayusan para sa mga candids.

Tip din pala... Make sure na mauuna ayusan yung mom, mom-in-law and maid/maids of honor mo since sila yung unang kailangan sa pictorials.

Talk to your HMUA if she can accommodate how many heads. Most HMUA naman also have a team na dinadala nila if they need extra hands at maraming kelangan ayusan. That's what my HMUA did. Isang team lang kasi hinire ko for me and the rest of the entourage (including parents and inlaws).

Hello. Im a newbie here. Ask ko lang based on your experience ilang oras po ba dapat alot na time for makeup ng bride? Kasi my wedding is at 1pm tapos 9am daw darating si mua. Dalawa lang naman kami aayusan nya pero natatakot ako baka kulang sa time kasi diba may pictorial pa yun?

@*Pinkpanda*, parang medyo alangan yung 9am. It usually takes 1.5-2hrs para sa makeup. You need to consider din kasi yung time nina photo and video to do pre-gown shots.

My wedding was 3pm pero 9am pa lang start na ko ng makeup. If I remember correctly, eto yung naging timeline ko:

9am           start of makeup for pre-gown
10:30am   start of pre-gown shoot with photo and video team
11:30am   end of pre-gown shoot / lunch
12:00nn    start of retouch and hair up / wear wedding gown
1:00pm     start of shoot na naka-gown (including with bridesmaids, family members, MOH, etc)
2:30pm     departure from hotel going to church

^winkar22 oh no! Mukang di nga enough yung time kapag 9am magstart makeup. Eh dalawa pa kami ni mother nun. Medyo nagpanic ako ngdun. I will try to talk to my mua sana magawan ng paraan. Thanks so much ha.

agree with winkar, almost the same timeline kami during my wedding. and si MUA, 2 hours ahead sila dumating sa P/V team namin.

Agree with our sisses about the call time ng HMUA - on my wedding day, 6 AM pa lang both HMUA teams were already present sa hotel - 2PM ang ceremony time namin. Better to have them early especially the bridal HMUA kasi maaga ang pictorial ng bride. With my bridal HMUA team, total of 3 looks kami - hair down, ceremony look at reception look.

Sabi sa contract ng coordinator 5 hours before the wedding sila darating si i think mga 8am. Pero hindi ko pa talaga sila actually nakakameeting. First meeting pa alng namin this month so i hope maayos na namin ang scheduling.

^ Yes, yan ang usual.. 5-6hrs before the wedding dapat dumating na suppliers including HMUA. Sobrang bilis ng oras on your big day promise!

Total of four sila in the team, including another make-up artist and 2 hairstylists. Winshayna Young-Rivera was the other make-up artist who took care of my sisters' make-up.
