All About Photographers and Videographers Part 15

Hi ladies! I am currently struggling with finding the perfect videographer. Ang hirap. Madaming magaling. Any feedback on Photofarm (Cavite-based)? Shortlist ko sila sa as videographer since napaka cinematic ng mga SDEs nila but wala pa masyading reviews on their work here in GT. So far eto mga nashort list ko for video:

Photogenics
Photofarm

Any feedback will really help. TIA! 

Hi sis, I haven't worked with any of them but I highly considered Dreamechanics before kasi ang gaganda ng SDE nila and very creative. However we did not push with them kasi my hubby said na parang templated ang dating ng SDE. This was 2014-2015 ha, so baka mas unpredictable na ang shots nila ngayon.

Also, a small tip if you are planning to book them, ask them about Team B, I have read recent stories na nagkakagulatan ang brides dahil same date sila at same Videographer.

we didn't have any personal meeting with our photographer and videographer. I think everything can be done online now. email or if you really want to talk with them, skype will do. It's win-win for everyone because you will avoid traffic, etc. It helps the environment too :p hehe.

Thanks @peachlipstick for your feedback. Seems na templated parin ang SDE ng Dreamechanics. May nabasa din ako sa other forum na matagal magreply sa clients and accepts two bookings on the same day. Nastress yung twin brides tuloy when they found out. Thus, I decided not to push through with my booking with Dreamechanics, Based sa mga recent SDEs na nagustuhan ko, ina-eye ko na ngayon ay Rewind Media and Paradox Films.

May nabasa din akong comment about our P/V regarding sa video nila na templated (though I forgot if eto yung term na nagamit). For me naman, I'm okay with it kasi to quote our team, umiikot sa ceremony ang story ng SDE nila dahil nandon naman talaga ang kasal. But they also include highlights of the preps and reception. Ako naman ang hindi fan na masyadong ma effect na videos, i don't know if yun yung tinatawag na cinematic hehe yung parang maiba lang. Pero kanya kanya naman ng taste ika nga, I'm more of a traditional bride siguro hehe. I'm super happy with the output of our photo & video, very malinis and captured talaga ang moments without overdoing it.

For the videography, we have Mr. Michael Jamandre. He works for Mr. Jason Magbanua and dubbed as the Master Glider. He has his own team, too which is MJ Films and it's very affordable. His FB account for MJ Films is not that active but you can find his masterpieces on his Vimeo account. His name is all over Google and there you'll see how famous he is in the Wedding Industry. Wedding po is sa Batangas. Thanks again! Budget po siguro nasa 40K. All in po. And pahingi na din po ng mga tips 😊

^sis sa pagkaalala ko, Law Tapalla's cheapest package back in 2015 was 25k. Not sure about his current rates, we considered him din kasi for our wedding dati since batangas wedding din kami.

I would like to ask if is it ok if you get 2  different photographers for your wedding?. I recently booked PV coverage but i came across this one studio and i instantly fell love with their works! Nanghihinayang naman kami sa downpayment if we cancel the first one we booked. I worry din baka magtaka sila parehas bakit dalawa silang magcocover sa wedding hehe

Some things to think about lang about your plan

First, check mo if yung original P/V mo will allow other photogs to cover the event with them. Yung sa akin kasi nasa contract na hindi pwede.

Another thing is if 2 teams, baka sobrang daming tao during your preps tapos sa ceremony ang daming nag-aagawan para makakuha ng shot? Well, unless may designation on what each team will capture

Baka pwedeng change service na lang yung original P/V mo? Like for prenup or post nup na lang?

Hi sis belle621! Usually stated sya sa contract na di pwede.. And awkward din if may iba ka pa naka book kasi baka mas magulo ang shots nun tsaka baka maging bad experience yun for them.

Belle621, yes ask first of they allow other shooters, if they do, let them know that you're getting another team para at least on the day eh makapag coordinate sila at hindi magkagulo sa pagshoot. I have a friend na ganyan ang ginawa, she hired a back up p/v team, okay naman, i think naging advantage sa kanila kasi yun main p/v ay late dumating both sa prenup at sa wedding day mismo. Kaya hindi sila sabay nagshoot and nagkaron ng time yung backup to shoot ng sila lang. They have 2 SDEs, two sets of albums, etc. Ako personally i'm not for that feelin ko kasi nagsayamg lang sila ng pera parehas naman so-so lang ang quality. Hehe. My point is, nagwork sa kanila yung 2 teams ang p/v, kasi aware yung both teams na may iba silang kasama
