Attended a wedding last year and although it's not the worst pero ang daming sablay. Imagine the bride, about to walk the aisle but the music played was the intro of Running Man. Lol.
Another recent wedding, medyo chaotic din because the coord was always MIA.

One thing I noticed on both weddings.. yung coordinator rumaraket pa as HMUA ;D
Lesson learned, wag na tipirin ang coord and HMUA. Don't let your coord to dual hat. Pili na lang what role to take. :P

^ I agree.. Wag tipirin ang coordinator kasi napakalaking role ang gagampanan nila that day! :) Kaya wag magpadala sa presyo and to be fair hindi naman lahat ng may panget na review ay di talaga okay. :) Yung iba talaga nagkakataon lang or nagiimprove naman! :)

?gree ako sis! Tsaka mas maganda if you get a coord na may experience na kesa sa newbies. Those with experience can take care if something goes wrong during your event.

Or di aware si bride dun?

Siguro sumasabit and nahihirapan siya maglakad kaya ganun. Sana man lang may eye to eye contact kay groom, with feelings kaso all the time sa carpet nakipag-eye to eye. Sayang ang moment. Tapos habang binabasa ni bride yung personal vows niya nagssway-sway pa katawan niya. Future brides wag kayong ganun di maganda tingnan sa video ska di dramatic ang effect. Parang joke lang. Emotionless.

^Oh the usual gown problems. That way, maiwasang matapakan ang gown.

^ This is one of the things I need to check when I do my first fitting. I've seen brides do the "kick-step" while walking the aisle. I really don't like it. Usually it means the dress is too long or needs a petticoat.

^petticoat is a good idea.

And also please be mindful kung saan ninyo isinulat ang vows ninyo. Most of the weddings that I have attended and maski napapanood ko nasa cellphone na nila ang cheatsheet nila. This particular wedding that I'm talking about earlier nakasulat sa scratch paper, yung papel pinilas lang from spring notebook, may hibla pa ng pinagpilasan sa sides.

Sana naisip ng coordinator to bring up sa couple  ang kapakanan ng mga may participation sa wedding.

feb2018bride: OMG that is so horrible!! Hay nako... now that uso ang destination wedding, all I can say is it has to be done right. Otherwise, please please brides and grooms out there DO NOT BOTHER with a destination wedding if you can't handle the logistics!!! Wag na please maki-uso and mag ambisyon mag destination wedding if you are not an organized type of person who can forsee problems, and iron out all the kinks down to the last detail. Wag na talaga, because your guests will suffer and remember your wedding as one really bad experience.

^I agree, sis. Or if plan mag destination wedding, make it clear to those attending kung ano yung expectation - what is covered or not in terms of expenses, logistics, etc.

My cousin got married in Boracay, and they were clear that yes, you're invited but unfortunately they weren't that 'rich' to shoulder all of our expenses, even some of it (said in a very nice way, of course :) ). They were just very thankful to those who attended (at their own expense: flights, hotels, etc.).

recent wedding na napuntahan ko..

Biglaan yung wedding dahil buntis na yung bride and wala pa stable jobs yung couple. majority nung gastos sa kasal ay inutang and the couple was thinking na yung makukuhang monetary gifts ay pambayad sa mga inutang for wedding (kwento sa akin ng kakilala ko na part ng entourage).

Unfortunately hindi ganoon kadami nag-pin ng money during the money dance. Also, we observed na ang tagal ng money dance.. As in, 4 songs or more na ata and the emcee was calling everyone to pin money.. as in iniisa-isa, parang roll call.. like .."mga tita at tito ng couple...o, mga friends ng couple magsabit na kayo para sa mag-asawa... mga kasama sa trabaho..etc.." ganun yung nangyari...tapos balik ulit sa roll call sa mga tita, tito, pinsan, friend, etc.. paulit-ulit yung emcee. And ang term nung emcee sa money dance is hanapbuhay ng mag-asawa...

^I only have one word in mind: BASTOS. Yun sila, especially the bride. Even for the sake of pakitang tao, hinde nagawa. It says a lot about their values. I kind of feel bad for the groom.

Isang malaking pagkakamali yun. Nagsisimula palang sila, may utang na, parang di magandang panimula yun as magasawa.

We were sad on how we were treated. B's family were so inhospitable which is so bizarre to me because bisaya are known for being hospitable.

Grabeeee!
