Di ko masabi na worse because friend namin yung groom, but it really might be for some. Heads up lang din sa B2Bs. :)

Just to give you a little background this is a super budget wedding  pero shempre I was expecting pa din na okay yung services, food, time management, etc. The ceremony started at 4pm and ended at 6pm because of the photo op sa church. We went to the reception at around that time na pero I think di pa super finish sa picture taking which was understandable dahil maaga pa ng slight. Pagdating namin sa reception wala talagang designated cocktail area kasi pwede na umupo sa table, pagdating namin sa table wala kaming cocktail food at walang mga baso compared to other tables. Since we were early humingi na lang kami ng cocktail food sa waiter. I forgot to mention lang na our table was located at the back of the stage so talagang di namin nakikita yung nangyayari o mga taong nagdadatingan sa event (parang radio yung dating kasi nakikinig lang kami). Though we were already informed by the groom nung nasa church kami about it kaya ok na din. At 7pm nag iikot na si groom so akala namin start na sabi niya hindi pa daw at di pa tapos ang postnup photoshoot with the entourage naman daw so medyo ok pa kami pero gutom na kasi yung cocktail ay more on chicha and a few candies may mga ilang finger food na tuna rolls. Around 7:30pm inopen na yung buffet so excited kami tapos salad lang muna yung pwede kuhanin at habang nakapila biglang nagstop na mag bigayan so madaming di nakakain. So ayun finally naririnig namin na may AVP na, entrance etc. at 8 pm siguro so ayun program tapos tawagan ng table numbers, nag start yung buffet 8:30pm na, so talagang to be honest we were really hungry. During AVP ng prenup and wedding photos pinalipat na kami ng table and we were shocked kasi nag uwian na pala yung mga guests!!

At yung paghihintay.. Haaaaay. Praying na sa kasal namin walang ganito. :( Sorry mahaba kwento ko. :P

^Grabe sis, 8:30 is super late na. Dapat snacks na ang binigay ng couple after the ceremony. This is really something we have to be conscious of. Food is very important to the guests.

Oh my..nakakainis nga yan. Parang tinatakam pa kayo, may stops ang pagkain haha! I'm prepared to pay extra for additional cocktails talaga. My wedding is on a Saturday afternoon and I expect traffic going to my reception. As sis Chili said before, make sure one of your cocktail items is heavy on the tummy like sandwiches or pizza if you feel that it might take time for your reception proper to start. Huwag lang puro nuts and chips.

^ sis maedonnas to be honest gulo pa utak ko sa cocktail haha! we're planning to go to SnR para dun buy tsaka meron ata buy yung brother ko na all white candies (cookies, candies, chocolates) -- maybe mas bagay sayo yan, check mo sa Amazon. :) Also try yung lemon squares ng Conti's pwede din yun. :D

kung kaya pa ng budget namin i might get raclette or sebastian ice cream, depende kung how much i think bagay din yun sau sis maedonnas.

Thank you sis lots-o and sis kdramaholic, will check them out :)

I think it's important din to be mindful of seating arrangement.

The last wedding I've been to there were two big pillars in the middle of the venue. From where we were sitting we couldn't see what was happening in front.

I just want to share the happenings sa recent wedding na inattendan namin. I think one thing na nagpagulo is dahil wala silang coordinator.

During the ceremony, nagkakagulo yung relatives ng bride and groom. First, start na ng ceremony biglang nag-ikot si maid of honor because walang coins dun sa arrhae. Naghahanap siya ng coins during the ceremony. Next, hindi naipalagay during the ceremony yung veil and cord. Bigla na lang nilagay during offertory. Wala ring assigned offerors. Bigla na lang nagtawag before offertory. And lastly, nahirapan silang hanapin yung petals para sa recessional. Good thing, they were able to find it. And sa reception, masarap naman yung food. 😊

Bigla akong kinabahan for our wedding. But one thing I learned, kailangan din talagang magfocus sa small details ng wedding specially sa ceremony itself. Make sure everything's complete the night before. 😊 But at the end of the day, whatever happens, what's important is the union between the man and his wife. 😊

Eh diba yung priest ang nagsasabi na time na to put on the veil and cord? Di ko alam paano nila namiss yun?

Worst so far is na-late yung bridal car dahil wala daw kumokontak sa kanya na coordinator. So 30mins late nagstart yung ceremony sa church. Church was so strict and pinatayan na kami ng ilaw habang nagpipictorial.

With some churches not even showing a little amount of care to people na napili ang church nila as the venue of their covenant with God.

I even heard one church na sa sobrang in demand eh every hour may wedding which is sad. Kamusta naman ang magiging pictorial time? And bago pa kayo lumabas nakapila na ang next entourage :( And the same church na may charge just to have its door opened for the bridal march..

True, one of the reasons I chose my Church, gusto ko pa din solemn, quaint and hanggat maari yung may personal touch, yung Church namin, talagang Manong caretaker pa din nag assist meron lang 1 Clerk na babae ako nakausap once, medyo  maluwag sa requirements, madali kausap. There's this one Church in Tagaytay na gusto talaga sana namin, kaso parang naging business na sya sa pagka in demand, andaming tao namamasyal, nagpre nup, back to back weddings kaya mahigpit din sa oras, super fully booked, to the point na as per people who were there, "laspag" na.  :( Strict pa sa documents. It shouldn't be that way.

^ I think I know that church. :)

So yun pictorial talagang minadali.

sis ayi0119, that church in Manila.. yan ba yung halos 30 minutes lang yung wedding rites? THAT very famous church in Manila.  ;D

if I'm thinking right, my friend got married there. and months after her wedding I was able to talk to her. galit na galit sya dahil hindi man lang daw sila nakapag pictorial sa labas ng church dahil kahit sila na mismog kinasal pinaalis agad.

^ mukhang same nga sila ng church! I think it's overrated.

On topic:

::) at syempre bitin yun food.

Hmmm, I think pag famous ang church mas nagiging demanding sila and ang dami ng rules and extra charges.

I have attended two weddings in Bulacan na sa bakuran ng kinasal ang reception and a lot of people turned up - ni hindi nag-effort magbihis and the worst part is may dala pang lalagyan para magbalot ng handa. lol

I'm not too sure din kung sino ang caterer nila pero ang handa nila parang pang-fiesta ng bayan - iba-iba ang cuts pero iisa ang lasa.

Also, walang chairs and tables, kumain tuloy kami ng nakatayo. Haha

Pero kasi sa pagkakaalam ko per waiter may stations or tables sila na binabantayan, so yun lang ang aasikasuhin nila. Ang assigned waiter kasi hindi pwede lumayo sa station na binabantayan niya unless may inutos ang guest/s from that specific table/station. What they would normally do is asked another fellow waiter kung pwedeng sabihan si "assigned waiter" na may request ang guests niya kaya pakibilisan kung anuman ang ginagawa niya. Way din kasi yan ng mga hotel or ibang catering services para mabilis ma-identify sinong at fault kapag may nagreklamo na guest.
