haha! Nakaka excite no? Anyway, we've tried the ff Tagaytay based caterers:
Towns delight - we find their food bland. We seriously had to put cheese and salt on everything we tried
they didn't meet our expectations. Medyo foodie kasi kami ni h2b eh so medyo particular kami sa lasa talaga. Although sa desserts naman sila bumawi. Gustong gusto ko yung desserts nila as in! Maganda rin ang service. Very attentive ang waiters. you can try it out for yourself too. baka kasi magustuhan ninyo yung food nila. they charge 750 per head for their FT.
Celina's Haute gourmet - Sila yung nag pa bridal fair nung September 3-4 sa tagaytay. Under sila ng Tagaytay weddings na events. For us, sakto lang yung food. Nothing really special pero pwede na rin. Haven't seen their set up though kasi hindi sila ready nung time na mi-neet kami. Mababa ang packages nila. So if your looking for an affordable caterer sa Tagaytay, you can get them. Meron akong packages sa email. May FT fee sila I think 1k pero pwede i-waive if you get them as your caterer.
Agot's catering - Sakto lang din naman. The food is not super sarap pero its not bad naman.Walang nag pa-wow samin ni h2b. Medyo over ang set up for me. I dont like over decorating kasi. Pero if you're into Super bonggacious setup, you can try them too. We tried them twice sa Tagaytay fair so free lang. I'm not sure if may charge sila kung mag papaset ng special FT.
Juan Carlo - they're actually batangas based pero no OOT sila sa Tagaytay. Masarap yung food nila pero hindi ako fan ng pasta and desserts nila. Medyo out of budget din. MAbait yung AE namin and he tried to adjust the price kaso tinanggal yung ibang viands... ayun, Hindi parin pasok haha! for another FT, 1k per head ang charge.
I didn't try out L&J kasi hindi sila nag cacater sa Balai taal anymore. Nahihirapan daw sila na magbaba ng gamit and food sa reception area. Maglalakad pa kasi tapos pababa pa. So I let them go na.
Manila Based caterers:
Hizons - Very accommodating ang AE's nila. Very generous in giving freebies and upgrades. You can have 2 FTs for free hanggang sa mabuo nyo yung menu nyo. haha! bukod pa to sa Final FT. May nabuo na kame ni h2b eh. yung 2nd FT nirequest namin yung mga food na hindi kasama sa grand FT nila. Anyway, naappreciate namin yung assistance ng AE namin pero nag resign na sya
so nalipat kame ng AE. Haven't met her personally pero we're planning to sched this November. Sila kasi yung 2nd sa list namin. We'll try to haggle the prices pa if kaya.
KbyC - May masarap, may hindi nag stand out. Ang masakit pa nito, yung masasarap, puro upgrades. Huhu. nung nag compute ako naging out of budget na. Although marami naman silang freebies na kayang ibigay, I need to stick to my budget kasi sobrang nag blow up na ang expenses namin eh. We wanted to try more of their dishes sana kasi parang nakulangan kame ni h2b. Pero, if we want to request another, we need to pay na. So aantayin nalang namin ni h2b yung FT ng friend namin, sasama kami baka sakali mag bago ang menu at ma-try din namin yung iba. haha! Maganda rin pala ang setup ng kbyc. 3rd choice namin 'to.
Passioncooks - This one I have to let go kahit masakit.
Ang sarap ng food nila! Minimal ang setup- which is a plus for me since minimalist kame ni h2b. Simple pero elegant. However, ang MAHAL! grabe. You can't negotiate sa price. huhu. They stick to their packages kasi although quality naman talaga ang dishes nila... hindi ko ma-afford pang dagdagan ang budget ko for the caterer. Malaki na yung dinagdag ko, tapos they are waaaay over pa. For another FT, 850 per head ang singil nila.
Josiah's - Marami akong narinig na feedback so my expectations were high. Kaso come FT, I was just disappointed a food and service. Sakto lang yung food. It wasn't bad naman but no wow factor. Mabagal ang service nila. We we're one of the first to arrive that time sa bridal fair pero isa kami sa mga last na na-servan. gutom na gutom na kami, pero ang tagal iserve yung dishes. Yung AE pa namin laging nawawala. After mag discuss, tumayo sya to get something pero hindi na kami binalikan so hindi narin kami nakapag paalam kasi we were running out of time na.
Richgold weddings - May food na ok, may food na hindi. Sakto lang rin for us. Ok naman ang packages and setup, pero mabagal rin ang service nila. We weren't that interested ni h2b so we didn't bother to ask for another FT or hm it costs.
M Catering - eto first choice namin. Our AE was soooo generous talaga. Super asikaso kame sa FT namin na sa she's super into it, nagpakita pa sya ng linens na pwede and nag sample pa na bumuo ng centerpiece kahit hindi sya ang stylist haha! Anyway, the food didn't disappoint. May mga hindi kami nagustuhan pero mas marami ang ok for us. Very affordable. When I told her my budget, pumasok sa banga! pati OOT fee kasama na. haha! aside from that ang dami daming freebies. She will custom fit whatever your needs are sa budget nyo. And I really appreciate her for doing that. Since gusto pa namin mag try ng iba pang dish, gumawa sya ng paraan so we wouldn't pay the fee's for the next FT. We're scheduled this November. Hoping na makapag decide na kami between them and Hizons.
Anyway, sorry napahaba na ang reply ko. 10 na pala ang na FT namin, not 8! haha! Pero these are my honest reviews lang. you can always try them out for yourself naman. baka magkaiba tayo ng panlasa diba?
pero if may budget ka for this, i recommend you get passioncooks. pero if budgeted ka, you can consider M catering or Hizons
