Sa amin, majority ng suppliers namin only asked for 10-15k downpayment. They only ones who asked for more than that are the flower supplier, host, cake and gown. Though yung sa gown initially 10k din kaso nakapag 2 fittings na ako then they asked for the 30% na

Mga 10-15k as previously mentioned to block the date.

The only ones that asked for a bigger deposit is:
- Venue P25k
- Photographer wants 30% (21k)
- Coord 30% deposit (10k)
- Church asked for 30% as well (3k)

Kaya sis maganda din na maaga pa lang mag book na.
- to lock in the rates.
- to spread the cash outlay.
- to determine the actual cost early so you can prepare.

re downpayments. usually ba magkano na sana ang meron kayo ng partner mo while prepping? like, if you plan to meet suppliers for next month and budget nyo for the entire wedding is 300k. dapat ba atleast 150k meron na? hihi.

thanks sisses! so, enough na din nga siguro yung 30-40% dp to be safe? mejo malaki din yun infairness. hehe. lock-in ba meaningyou will pay the rates as of now kahit next year pa ang wed? do they really give that rate?

Tama sila sis. Most likely ganun yung DP. YUng sa P/V ko rin lang yung malaki at 30% pero mostly naman 10-15k lang. Yung gown ko 5k lang DP, then divided by three yung remaining spread over the fittings.

Kaya sis If I were you, I'd start booking now to save dahil malolock mo yung price. Example sis, when I first inquired with Mel Orlina, her rates were between 56-85k, pero when I got her last June 60-85k na yung rates niya. That happens all the time. Most suppliers increase prices at  10% every year, sayang din yun sis.

Sis kdramaholic and exquisitegem thank you. I'm really happy within budget and when i computed sa flowers yung magagastos namin is less than 10k kasi mostly baby's breath lang naman yung gamit namin (80/kl lang sa Dangwa). Happy! Sana makahanap kana din sis!

a big chunk of our initial expense goes to caterer and venue. Kasi 1 month after the 10k DP, binayaran na namin yung 50%.
And for the gown, 30% yung DP.

^ wow ang bilis naman ng DP for caterer. Sa amin kasi 50% at signing of contract. The contract is signed 2 weeks before the wedding. Sabi ng caterer kasi pwede pa pabago bago with the number of guests and the food. So we have the option to change to a less expensive menu if more guests RSVP.

50% DP for wedding dress though. Final payment a week before the wedding when I pick up the dress.

Sa Glass Garden, 20% initial DP, then after a month, 50% ang total. Mabigat huh. Lalo ang kinuha namin yung package.  Pero naisip ko rin, okay na rin, para menos na sa iisipin at medyo malaki na ang matanggal sa kelangan bunuin.

^Malaki pala ang DP sa venue + food packages. Yung reception venue ko kasi walang DP, but  have to pay the full amount next year, pagmedyo malapit na yung date. Venue is only 10.5k

Yung caterer namin is a family friend, wag na dindaw ako magDP sakaniya.  Fee is 350/head

^Sis provincial rates kasi. hahahaha. Bulk of our budget went P/V, gown and rings because those are all from Manila suppliers.

Re downpayments:

I agree with our sissies here. I think yung malalaki ang reservation fee ay mga major suppliers. Wala tayo choice kasi sila yung kailangan mabook agad kung gusto talaga natin yung dates.

Eto samin so far:
Church: 5k
Venue: 15k
Caterer: 50%
P/V: 15k
Florist/Stylist: 8k
HMUA + Grooming: 10k
Host: 8k
Coord: 1k

Yan pa lang nabbook namin. Yung iba dyan, malapit na yung 2nd DP namin so gastos na naman. Hay! Hahaha

Isa pang ginagawa namin ni h2b nagbabayad kami paunti-unti pag may extra sa major suppliers to lessen the gastusin. Di pa kami nakapag full payment kahit kanino kasi yun yung advice samin (just to be safe daw) pero sa ibang suppliers nasa 50-60% paid na kami. Thank God talaga for all the blessings!!! <3

^ Good idea not to pay in full.

Kami nasa savings account yung wedding savings. Para earning interest kahit maliit lang until we actually need to pay.

^same. We haven't yet paid a supplier full amount. Most if not all of our contracts stipulate that the final payment will be settled on the day of the wedding. For our photographer, full payment will be done once the wedding album is available.

Hi! August 2017 bride here. Upon reading the thread dun ko lang narealized na ambilis lang pala ng araw. iniisip ko kasi parang ang tagal pa para magprepare. So far we already have the church: san antonio de padua, venue: garden gazebo events place, Catering: L&J, p/v: arrem photography. Naghahanap pa ko ng ibang suppliers na walang ootfee. malaki din kasi matitipid namin pag wala. Any recommendations sa mga suppliers. Yung affordable pero ok ang services. Thanks mga sis!

hello! apr2017 bride here. Ngayon lang nagsi-sink in sa kin na malapit na. Question po, who's in charge normally for the set up ng church?

sunnnyside sis it depends sa package mo sa church. If it's not included, you may hire a stylist/florist for that kung gusto mo may decor.
