Any thoughts about your bridal march do's and dont's

make sure before the door opens, walang tao sa likod mo na eeksena kapag vinideo-han ang entrance mo! i find it distracting in some videos i have seen na may mga tao sa background. nakakasira! also, when the background is too noisy. like a street/busy highway. if budget permits maybe a panel of greenery/grass or flowers or kahit drapes behind you to cover the background sana.

make sure your shoes are comfortable and that you can walk in your shoes and gown.

walk at the right pace.

breathe, relax and savor the happy moment.

by the way, I haven't walked down the aisle just yet  just observations from other brides on videos.

I've seen brides stop for like 2 seconds, glance, and smile at the guests after every step. I guess this is to avoid blurry pictures and well, maximize the bridal march time.

Nice suggestion to rowan!  Medyu mabilis aku maglakad talaga eh. The last time na nag-offer aku sa simbahan, hinahabol aku nung partner ku. Hahaha. Sabi niya ang bilis ku daw maglakad.

Practice walking at the aisle before your big day! Since hindi uso ang rehearsal dito, you can still do this.

Get your bridal shoes, wear a skirt na kasing length ng gown mo, then walk down the aisle. This way alam mo yung pace mo and you won't get nervous on the day itself.

Also, when the door opens, smile and stop for as looooong as you like and look at the crowd. Take in this view because yan ang hindi makukuhanan ng video!

You can stop anytime. One bride actually stopped after a few steps and said hi to people in the crowd and hugged a few friends along the way. She took her time before going straight to the groom and that is totally fine.

Mahirap maglakad sa carpet! As in. bakit di ko to naisip? haha.

If you are wearing a ball gown, tapos may petticoat sa loob. try nyo tiklupin sa loob para umaangat ng konti, so you can walk properly. Hirap na hirap ako maglakad.

Nung palabas na kame inangat ng konti ni hubby, ayun nakalakad ako ng maayos palabas.

Paulit ulit yung coordinator ko dito while waiting to open the door. From hotel palang sinsabihan na nya ko, and I know this even before, pero waaaaa, di kaya ma maintain yung level, kais mabigat yung bouquet, so ang tendency i-aangat mo sya, ayun pala super taas na. di mo na din kasi to mapapansin kasi overwhelming yung feeling eh.

Anyway regarding the bouquet naman, i have read somewhere din: ang flower, itapat sa flower hehe ganun daw kababa dapat ang bouquet. 😁

I think i will really take my time walking so I can make sure na hindi ako madadapa. hahaha..

Nabasa ko din yan sis na ang flower itapat sa flower. Sana mamaintain ko. Kaya ayaw ni hubs na 20 roses ang bouquet ko baka daw hindi ko na mabuhat. hahahaha

I'll also be wearing a gown with petticoat in it. Last week I had my fitting and they let me walk with heels. Hindi pala ganun kadali maglakad dahil sa petticoat, kelangan may timing. I wish I could practice walking with petticoat at home haha

1) Walk s l o w l y; I kept thinking about this (ni-remind pako ng bridal car driver) but when I started walking, too fast pa din haha. Bumulong yung photographer na ma'am, slowly po. I guess to really get the best shots din. Though hindi ko type yung step-stop-step way; keri pa din naman mag lakad ng mabagal. I don't think din na ok to actually hug friends along the way, mejo masisira yung moment ko hehe.

3) I-break in na ang bridal shoes a few days before the big day; kahit weeks if you already have it. Kahit mga 20-30 minutes a day just to get used to it, especially if mataas.

your welcome mga sis! super dali maglakad actually kasi maluwag sa loob dahil sa petticoat. Pero syempre last fitting ko sa tiles ako naglakad!!! hahaha, so super dulas lang,

Di ko narealize sa carpet pala sasabit yung petticoat. dapat medyo nakaangat sya ng konti.

Ang shoes mga sis!!! I break in na. 5 inches yung heels ko. nasuot ko till the end of the program! So happy!

Wear it all day yung mismong timings ng wedding mo. I had 4pm wedding. So pag alam kong bahay lang ako all day, mga 11am ko sinuot till 10pm. Kasi for sure aabutin ng 10pm yung reception. Ayun nasanay ako.

And it will help you a lot sa bridal march.

since hindi naman namen naayos kasi nasa alter kame nun. haha. Inaangat lang ni hubby papasok ng konti yung wire sa ilalim. So hindi sya naka sayad sa sahig. Ang sumasayad lang yung tela ng gown ko which is soft naman kaya ok lang sa carpet. ang sumasabit kasi yung wire nung petticoat eh.

Or baka naman maliit kasi ako, ang haba ng petticoat saken, sayad yung wire sa lupa, baka sainyo hindi? haha. ewan ko.

^Sis hindi ko alam kung papano yung petticoat sa MelOrlina brides. Or kung meron ba hahahah!. Haaist sana naman maging okay yung march ko. I'll practice using my 4in heels na din to prepare for the wedding although I'll be changing to TOMS during reception.

^ako din. by January pa yung final fitting ko. Sana naman hindi yung nakasayad ng bongga haha kasi sasayaw pa ko sa reception lol

Kaya it's best talaga na dala niyo na yung actual shoes niyo sa fitting para mafeel niyo na yun at mapa-adjust accordingly yung dress

Love this thread! I'll be walking down the aisle in almost a month na langgg! Yay. Will take note mga do's and donts! Paano kaya yung lakad na mabagal pero di magmumukang march sa C.A.T? Kasi may nakita ako naka ball gown sya yung walk nya sa sde mukang march ng sundalo sis yung pag step by step masagwa tignan for me...tips mga sis paano ba talaga dapat ang paglakad haha
