Duterte is like that annoying uncle na puro kayabangan, exaggerated kwentos, pag mumura ang lumalabas sa bibig, but the one na nakapagpatapos ng mga anak sa kolehiyo by driving jeepney day and night. And for that, i support him, importante sakin nagagawa niya trabaho niya, at nararamdaman yon ng mamamayan. I don't usually watch his speeches na dahil minsan mapapa-eyeroll ka talaga sa sinasabi niya.

Oo nga, ok yung mga cabinet members na yan. As for transportation, kawawa naman yun, kase ang hirap ng napunta sa kanya, Sa totoo lang, hindi ko na alam kung may pag-asa pa maayos yung traffic dito sa Metro Manila

^In my view, it's so easy, at di ko maintindihan kung bakit hirap ayusin yan. All they have to look and IMITATE are the cities of SG, HK, SF, NYC, etc na walang masyadong horrendous traffic kahit compact ang downtown din. It also starts with LTO and LTFRB and the jeepneys. Travel more, study more..

^ It's not that easy actually. Madali sabihin, pero mahirap implement. Short term and long term solutions dapat i-consider. HK, SF, NY, those cities belongs to first world level. Infrastructure pa lang iwan na iwan tayo. How can you implement something sa mga occupied properties na? At syempre, dapat in accordance to law, which means dapat dumaan sa tamang procedures ang pag implement ng dapat gawin. Madaming factors at hindi ganun kadali. Pwede mo pilitin by being kinda like a Dictator, pero that's not the path we wanted to go through.

Sa maliit na analogy, kung halimbawa sa mismong property mo, doon plan maglagay ng SUBWAY, papayag ka ba basta basta na lang kunin ng government ang lugar mo at ganoon ka ba willing mag sacrifice para sa common good? Kung meron kang lumang jeep na tanging source ng kabuhayan mo, papayag ka ba na basta basta na lang tanggalin ang franchise mo dahil luma na sasakyan mo? Kung ikaw may sariling sasakyan, papayag ka bang, biglang bigyan i-require ka ng malaking tax para sa sasakyan mo yearly? Kung ikaw commuter, willing ka ba makisiksik sa MRT pansamantala at tiisin ang mas matindi at palagiang traffic para sa pagaayos ng mga infrastructures? Mga individual questions you have to consider para maayos ang traffic.

Like where I live, merong infrustructures  na imbis na makagaan sa traffic lalong nagtraffic. In short, it didn't go as planned. It's not like building Lego bricks where you can dismantle and rebuild.

Hindi hinaharang ni Poe. In fact at the very start she was the one who kept on the saying that the president should have emergency powers to solve the traffic. Hindi siya ang may kasalanan but ang DOTr. they didn't present any plans. Walang specifics. That's the same reason Speaker Alavarez gave why the emergency power is not moving in the House. They can't simply grant a "blanket" emergency power

True. Mas mahirap ayusin ang bagay na pinagtagpi tagpi na. Better if sirain lahat and start from scratch or mag develop na lang sa ibang lugar ng mga infra. Long term and short term ang dapat i consider.

Duterte admin bracing to pay for ?sins? of past presidencies


The Department of Finance (DOF) under the Duterte administration is preparing for the possibility of unprogrammed payments to private firms that have dragged the government into court to collect tens of billions of pesos combined in claims from bungled public-private partnerships dating as far back as the 1990s.


?Controversial ventures such as the Poverty Eradication and Alleviation Certificates (PEACe) Bonds and the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 (NAIA 3), both of which have been tarnished by legal debacles, are starting to catch up with Malaca?ang, and the Duterte presidency faces the unenviable task of paying?literally?for the ?sins of the past? administrations, courtesy of previous and possibly future court rulings favoring contractors or concessionaires that presumably have scores to settle with the state,? the DOF said.

The current government will likely have to cough up some P5 billion to pay RCBC Capital for the amount that the Bureau of Treasury (BTr) kept back as final withholding tax (FWT)?as so ruled by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)?when these 10-year zero coupon PEACe bonds that it had issued during the past Arroyo administration matured in 2011.

In the case of the NAIA 3 project which got entangled in one legal dispute after another as an offshoot of the financial troubles that had buffeted the winning bidder Philippine International Air Terminals Co. (PIATCO), the SC ruled last April 19?entered in the book of entries of judgments on May 20 and upheld in a follow-up resolution on June 21?that the government must pay this contractor $326.93 million in just compensation.
