Sometimes God talk to us in an expected situation, at least our President still believe in God, so it means he still have a good heart. God bless the Philippines.

I campaigned online among friends, acquintances and even strangers and voted for Duterte because I believed in his vision of a crime-free, corruption-free, redtape-free, and drug-free Philippines.

I was also banking on his promise that he will stop cursing and be statesman-like in his conduct when he becomes President. He said it when his ratings dipped after he allegedly cursed the Pope.

But most of all, I was hoping he will have the balls to stand up against China, like what he said during his campaign that he will plant the PH flag on the Scarborough Shoal.

I still believe in his vision of a crime-free, corruption-free, redtape-free, and drug-free Philippines. But all that support evaporates when he attacks people with a double-standard. He criticizes below the belt but is onion-skinned to even the smallest admonition of him.

And the pivot to China and Russia, two failed Communist countries and now failing economies, is a face-palm. Both countries are notorious for serious human rights violations. Maybe the appeal for him.

But the PH and the Filipino people will always embrace Democracy and the rule of Law. It's in our genes, our soul as a nation. A gentle, kind, freedom loving people with a generous heart.

Sooner or later, like me, when all the initial expectations of his Presidency has died down, I don't know where his big mouth will be found.

Time and again, what failed the PH are its politicians.

There is a silver lining to this. Next time people will have learned their lessons in politics the hard way.

the only thing that disappoints me about duterte is his mouth. he really needs to tone down. im hoping he keeps his promise to stop cursing this time.

on the south china sea disputes, im already glad that our fishermen can go fishing there already. foreign relation is not that simple. my foreign policy knowledge is only based on theories I learned from school. and we all know reality, most often than not, turns out differently. so i trust our president and his cabinet that they're doing what's best for our country.

a filipino's "good" heart is also his downfall. siguro nababalitaan nyo lang dyan mga pinoy achievers sa international scenes. but in reality, most OFWs are overworked and underpaid just because we're holding a philipine passport. but filipinos are innately kind and nice people that we don't even complain. kahit alam namin we deserve more. kahit alam namin na someone doing that same job as we do is getting higher pay. mahirap makipaglaban kung sobrang bait mo na. yung ever since bata ka pa, na inculcate na sayo na dapat at all times maging humble, honest, and pleasant ka lang talaga. kahit feeling mo inaapi ka na. kaya siguro i don't mind duterte's strong words against America minus the cursing. so filipinos can learn to fight strongly too. yung feeling na ang presidente natin hinde nagpapa intimidate so dapat tayo din. wish ko lang i will have half of duterte's capability to stand up for what he thinks is right. nakakapagod maging mabait palagi.

it would be nice to also know what Russians have to say on Vladimir. i just realized that sometimes you cannot really trust what you read on international media. after reading many erroneous and misinformed articles on duterte's drug war, mahirap na magtiwala agad.

You were fooled or you didn't do your research? Also you were talking like his term is already about to end.

Criticize who? Aren't we a democratic country? You can criticize the president all you want but why is it different when the president criticizes the likes of De Lima, Obama and etc.? Is this also a lesson bestows upon us? Thou shall not judge if you don't want to be judged. More like don't throw sh*t if you are eating sh*t.

PH is failing not just because of the politicians. It's more because of its people. Just look at yourself, look at your outlook to the president you voted barely 6mos on his position. No country will prosper for people with that kind of outlook and attitude towards the government.

Si Pres.Duterte, wala namang problema sana pero yung madalas niyang patama sa America sumosobra na din may kasama pang mura, madaming pinoy ang nasa America, madami din ang call center agent at marami din kaming online ang sinuswelduhan ng mga Amerikano kaya sana konting hinay hinay lang baka magkaroon ng epekto na sa katagalan. Isipin naman niya na may malaking epekto talaga yung ginagawa niya, he can be neutral naman or sa kanya muna yun ganun lang. Yun lang talaga, pero ang suporta ko laban sa droga, kriminalidad at korapsyon nakasuporta ako pero dun sa isang parte na laging niyang pinatatamaan ang America, enough na please lang maawa din siya sa mga nagtratrabaho din online, wala ba kasi kahit isang tao na malapit sa kanya na sabihan siya sa bagay na yan? Nakakadisappoint eh, maghinay hinay naman si Pres. Duterte, kung mahal niya ang Pilipino at Pilipinas makinig siya sa tao din.
