A travel agency quoted me P47,000 per pax for a 5-day trip to Seoul in April. It's way above our budget so I'm planning to go DIY instead.

DAY 1 : morning arrival at Incheon airport / check in hotel / N Seoul tower
- Please recommend hotels/hostels for 3 people in Myeongdong

DAY 2:  Gyeongbok Palace with National Folk Museum. / Myeongdong Cathedral + Namsan Hanok Village
-Thinking of availing the hop-on, hop off bus tour here

DAY 3: Everland whole day until fireworks

DAY 4 : Nami island / Petit France / Garden of the morning calm

DAY 5: Flight back to Manila

Where can we do kimchi-making and watch nanta show? How much? I badly need tips and directions to go to these places. Thanks in advance!

Hi mga sis,palambing po ulit... Paano po pumunta sa mga ss by train:

1. Myeongdong to GYEONGBOKGUNG PALACE
2. Gyeongbokgung to Insadong
3. Insadong to Myeongdong
4. Myeongdong to Bukchon Hanok Village
5. Hanok Village to Gangnam
6. Gangnam to Myeongdong

Pasabi din po kung mas okay mag taxi? Thank you po.

1. Myeongdong to GYEONGBOKGUNG PALACE - get off at gyeongbok station or gwanghwamun station - check visit korea website for correct exit no to take. or sa station may mga signs naman
2. Gyeongbokgung to Insadong - get off at anguk station. actually pwede to lakarin lang but a bit far pero keri naman. pwede to itaxi.
3. Insadong to Myeongdong - get off at myeongdong station. pwede ring lakarin or taxi. kung madami kayo (mga 4) mas okay itaxi dahil yung fare nyo sa taxi when combined yun din ang fare sa subway. lesser pagod pa with all the transfers and walks.
4. Myeongdong to Bukchon Hanok Village - get off at anguk station
5. Hanok Village to Gangnam - get off at gangnam station if gusto mo dun sa me gangnam style na sign; pwede rin sa apgujeong rodeo kasi mas okay dito mas may mga high-end shops and yung bear like statues ng mga kpop groups
6. Gangnam to Myeongdong - myeongdong station

My tip: dl korea subway map. you can just input the stations mentioned above from and to tapos lalagay dun yung mga transfers mo. explore the app. it is very helpful. also like what i said above, google the tourist spots you wanna visit, go to visit korea link and you will find all the useful info (station, exit no., opening/closing hrs/days, ticket, etc)

Nung una hirap din ako diyan sa subway app. Hanggang sa nakasanayan ko na.

Sis cari pindutin mo yun train na button tapos yun magnifying glass then itype mo saan ka mangagaling then yun play button press mo para marecognize niya na yun ang departing station then type ka ulit saan ka papunta then yun stop button naman. Tapos press mo yun back sa phone mo. Then ipapakita na niya yun route. Dati parang nakikita ko anong train sasakyan ngayun hindi ko na makita yun narrative. Nakikita ko na lang map.

Please help mga sis.

I have been using Korea Subway info: Metroid (for android users). Offline and madali gamitin. Kailangan lang download the timetable and routing.

^sis Shams, oo pero sabi nga namin babalik na lang kami during the winter. Kahit wala ng snowfall basta may snow ok na yun hahaha! Good luck sis!

^Sis Cari, ano ang phone mo? Kasi base sa mga nababasa ko for android users parang iba sa ios. Feeling ko lang naman ahehe pero yung mga kasama ko during our trip halos same lang naman ng functions for both OS.
And yes may line change nga depende sa pupuntahan mo. Like sa papuntang Gangnam and Incheon.

For iOS: Kunwari Seoul Station ka mangagaling, that's line 1, going to Dongdaenum. tap mo yung seoul station may lalabas na menu yun then tap mo yung "Departs". Then tap mo rin yung Dongdaenum station and tap "Arrives at". May lalabas sa upper part ng app telling you the travel duration and kung ilang station ang dadaanan mo, 5 stations for dongdaenum.

Example naman if you're going to Nami Island, That's Gapyeong station (kunwari di ka mag-itx like us hahaha). Start ulit tayo sa Seoul Sation, departs, then Gapyeong station "arrives at". Lalabas yung lines na sasakyan mo. Naka-orange circle yung mga mag-change line. It's marked with a red "Y" to indicate na pwede mag-palit ng line dun.

You can also see the fastest route (ito ang suggestion nila lagi) and fewest stations for comparison.

Sa example ko alam ko na mga station na sasakyan at bababaan ko, yung mga lines in between lang ang hindi. Di ko lang sure paano kapag di mo pa alam. Ayun.

Hopefully mag snow when you're there! Pa drop mo sa clothes mo then inspect the snowflake, microscopic daw but you'll be able to see it! (At least I did, somehow)

Same here. Nakailang beses ako kanina. 9k lang sana for the 4 of us. Dapat kasi wala na yung default add-ons para diretso na sana payment. Tumatagal tuloy kakatanggal lahat ng addons hanggang sa pagdating ng payment wala na, may nauna na. Tsk.
