Haha! Natawa ako dito sis! I thought I was the only one who noticed this. Matigas nga mag english si Willord tsaka may hangin ang dating. Medyo nayayabangan sa kanya ibang friends namin. Si Michael Lim naman maraming negative feedback. So far, Max Tiu & Jerome Go parin ang best options

I replied sa post before that a friend of mine said di daw ok si Willord. Now I know why. Sorry pero ang sagwa niya mag english. Sana nag mandarin & tagalog nalang siya. Matigas yung dila niya with a lot of words. "Nathing's gonna change my lav for yu. Yu outta know by naw how mats i lav yu." Napapa-cringe ako with every wrongly pronounced word. Mas matitiis pa yung arte ng kanta ni Michael kesa sa english niya.

We picked our wedding date from a very short list given by a feng shui master. I chose a Friday kasi walang weekend date. The other days are odd naman like Tue and Thur.

Kaso may oras pa pala yun "7 to 5 pm." In the church where we intend to marry, the only available slot is 4:30pm that day. Pwede ba yun?

Hi sis kobekitten, depends. How strict are you? I have a friend who got married parang 7pm ang church niya kasi she can't get married before 7. so parang reception started at around 9pm na.

Naku paanu yan, I think Jerome Go ang kukunin namin? Siya daw kasi un magaling magchinese na emcee eh.. Compared to others ah. Pero para sa akin, okay naman si Max Tiu, and mabait rin. Hindi ko pa kasi nammeet si Jerome eh.

Girls! Question, may nakatry na ba sa inyo yun lauriat ng Manila Hotel? Para sa inyo, okay ba food nila? Or better pa rin if Century Seafood Restaurant na lang if lauriat? naloloka na ako. haha

Para sa akin, okay din naman un sa Manila Hotel, kaso comment nila relatives eh mas okay kung Century kasi dun at least sure na masisiyahan yun mga guests.. Help!!

sa century kasi sanay na sila sa malalakihang batch ng luto kahit iba iba and di nagbabago yung lasa ng food unlike sa iba minsan pag tinry mo masarap pero pag banquet na nagbabago na. I haven't tried manila hotel though

^ naloloka na ko. haha Actually, natry ko recently sa Manila Hotel, nitong Sept lang. For me, okay naman yun food. Pero alam mo naman kasi yun mga oldies diba? Choosy sila sa food eh. huhu don't know what to do

tsaka kasi mas sulit daw sa century seafood kasi di hotel price. yung sa manila hotel ba yung hotel mismo ang nagcater or parang may chinese restaurant din?

^ Yun din yun point ko eh. Pero kasi habol nila yun ambiance and para iisa na lang daw yun hotel and yun reception, para less hassle din. Manila Hotel din yun magluluto ng food dun eh. May choices kasi sila sa menu, either Western style, yun yung plated (specialty ata nila), or yun lauriat - na Chinese style. Pero kung iccompare yun food, sabi ng mga tao, Century talaga. Hindi ko tuloy alam kung dahil hindi lang ba nila natry yun recent na Chinese food sa Manila Hotel, or nung matagal na panahon na nila natry tapos hindi sila nasiyahan, or dahil nakatatak na sa mindset nila is hindi expertise ni Manila Hotel yun.

Just to compare, natry ko ang sofitel at new world hotel sa makati na wedding tapos chinese food, e mas ok pa din talaga yung sa century.. question dun sa sinabi mo pala na para iisa yung hotel at reception, bakit di mag century both? o nakabook na kasi?

^ Eh yun nga eh.. Century pa rin talaga pag quality ng food.
Problem is, si h2b hindi niya type yun hotel ni Century kasi mas okay daw magpictorial sa Century eh.. What do you think meixin? Any suggestions? Sinilip na kasi namin yun pool ng Century and hindi niya type. Then, yun sa stairs lang ata un available for pictorial pag sa Century.. May bayad pa nga yun eh. Although hindi naman issue yun fee..

Walang bayad ang pictorial basta nakabook ka ng hotel din dun Rooms naman niya ok naman alam ko newly renovated yung mga rooms nila e though kung around the hotel medyo limited areas nga ang pwede for photoshoot.. yung main lobby maganda din, need lang medyo magpatabi ng mga tao kasi minsan yung mga GI na guest walang pake

^^sis ms.pharmer, kung sa food talaga, winner parin si Century. Sa Manila hotel na lauriat kasi ok naman, pero parang may kulang. And yun nga, I agree with sis meixin na minsan masarap, minsan hindi. Pag-usapan niyo ni h2b kung ano pros and cons ng each hotel/ resto. It all boils down naman to you two kung san kayo magiging happy

hi sis ms pharmer! Ok naman lauriat food ng Manila Hotel, attended a wedding there pero last year hahaha pero I really really love their ballroom. Kasi na minimal styling ang ganda na. May grand staircase pa within the ballroom. I recently attended a wedding sa Sofitel and super sarap ng lauriat nila, probabaly because they ordered scallops and shrimps etc... I think it depends naman. So far ako ah sa lahat ng na attend kong wedding (new world, century, gloria maris, edsa shang, makati shang. manila pen, manila hotel etc...) fave ko yung na wedding of my hs classmate in edsa shang like 5 years ago!I remembered super satisfied ako sa food up to now yun pa rin naaalala kong food Same kami ng h2b mo, important din sa akin ambiance.

Ako din sis princessshayera, parang pinaka naalala ko over all are lauriat weddings in Edsa Shang hehe.

Medyo out of topic mga sis, do you know anyone who teaches fookien? Never ako natuto and h2b's family naman is very traditional. Si Amah niya can barely understand English or Tagalog. Kaya I think I really need to learn the language.

Hi Nokie! Yeah, 3 times na akong naka attend ng weddings in Edsa Shang so far lagi akong satisfied w/ their food    Century was only so-so for me  I know sikat sila sa food but maybe I've attended events there so many times na hindi na ako impress. Gloria Maris I attended twice na, super fail food for me. And I was expecting super sarap dahil Gloria Maris e. Sofitel, I was expecting na hindi masarap dahil a lot of people are telling me na fail lauriat ng Sofitel. Kaya I was super impress on the wedding I attended, super sarap ng food.Makati Shang naman I once attended na super fail ng food (probably because they got the cheapest lauriat menu pero super fail) but I attended there again last month and okay naman food. I think it depends din sa menu you're going to get. New World, Marriott and Manila Hotel not bad naman, pero wala akong maalalang memory of the food.

Hokien? IDK, usually there are Mandarin classes... maybe you can get a chinese tutor sa chinese schools or ask h2b na lang hehe Learn Mandarin na lang better for business

^^Meron sa Chang Kai Shek na hokien classes as far as I know.

^Yeah depende din sa food na pinili, pag pangit naman nga ang napili.. Yung sa sofitel na inattendan ko may scallops din kaso they overcooked it na naging rubberry, super sayang... And family kasi ni h2b madalas mag century kahit birthday dinner lang and laging masarap luto, though mahal din nga kasi lagi yung pinipili nila. Yung sa edsa shang, I think ok naman nga yung food nila pero kasi at the price you are paying dun, hindi na sulit (dun dapat yung tinghun e kaso yun nga di daw sulit, simple ng food for the price daw that you are paying kaya nalipat ulit sa Century)

Swertehan lang talaga sa food especially if big batches. 1 tip I got was to give a big tip to the head chef during the food tasting  Yeah, mas mahal talaga food ng hotel for the price but I guess you're also paying for the ambiance and prestige. Depende na siguro ano yung priority niyo. I attended a wedding sa century this Jan. Super siniksik talag nila mga tao, IDK how many ballrooms yun pero sabi there are 70+ tables. As in pag lingon ko sa likod ko pwede ko na ka chismisan the guy from the other table. Super daming tables in one room kaya medyo nasira din ambiance.

Baka better if you check this with your event stylist? Pangit din kasi if super siksik. People can barely move na. I was trying to limit my bathroom breaks din kasi nacoconscious ako dumaan
