Help last minute wedding plans changes! We were initially planning to have our wedding in cdo on oct 2017. But h2b and i decided to move up the wedding to APRIL 2017 and change to a manila wedding to accommodate his family and also because we really want to be together sooner (ldr kami). 300-400 pax for a 600k (ideally 500k) budget excluding wedding gown and jewelries. Were not paying for our oot guests' hotels (parents are). Kaya ba? Im fine with sourcing from divi for gown and stuff but family is particular about food. Must be GOOD FOOD. Okay lang buffet but must be good food. my sis wedding was at golden bay seafood but i dont think we can afford that. My cousins was at century park lalo hindi namin afford. Please recommend venue and church (tandem, kasi sana magkalapit lang) guys. Planning to attend wedding fair this aug 21 and 27. Am i crazy for trying to do this? Desparate for help! Please help. I like qc area but most relatives are in manila area so might be easier there.  H2b is filipino not chinese so not necessary na magtinghun. Hes paying for the wedding so i want to be sensitive to costs.. His parents dont have the capacity to pay and my parents think it should come from the guy side so theyre not willing to help. But it has to be up to their standards. Hopefully chinese food but maybe not necessary.

Actually if you're not after super special food items, kaya dapat sa century park, di nga lang sa ballroom, dun sa century seafood restaurant. Kung 400 guests, 12 person per table nasa mga 34 tables , then around 10k-12k per table so 340k-408k on food(will have to check with century yung prices ng set menu nila or kung papayag sila ng kayo mamimili instead of yung set nila?).

I looked for my copy of Golden Bay's menu package and they have a set menu at 11,800 per table. Plus 10% service charge(but maybe this could be waived? I'm not sure). This is their 2016 menu. Para may idea ka at least dun sa price.

Hi Sis Leslie, How about Gloria Maris or Annapolis Seafood restaurant in Greenhills? You can rent a tent na lang and have them catered.

Hi Sis Leslie, maybe you can try Shangri-la Finest the one in QC. I think they have a function room that can accommodate more than 300. For caterer, check out Tijoe the Caterer then rent a tent or function room nalang :)

Hi, leslie7622! Stop. Don't panic. Breathe. Feeling better? Smile :) ayan.

I agree with meixin. Kaya sa Century Seafood your budget. Di malayo our initial budget with yours. we also had to change plans but held on to our reservation til we decided on a different venue. With venue, good caterer & styling costs kasi lalabas na ok na "splurge" ang Century. Like you really wouldn't need much styling like table centerpieces. sa left side ata if 300-400 pax, so di ka din kelangan ng bongga na stage there. Ok din na option Gloria Maris, cheaper by a little lang. My husband (graduate na ko) has friends had their reception at Uno along Annapolis. Dun ata mas mura ng medyo malaki. Hirap din kasi to gamble with venues & caterers especially if your parents insists na good food. Verleo caters Chinese lauriat daw but baka hindi papasa sa parents. Hth!

^Aww sis...

The rest indi na. Wala naman siya sinabi nung di na kami tutuloy ng Century dati. And wala na din siyang chance, last na ko eh. Antay nalang niya mga pamangkin ko if magpa-lauriat haha

Anyways, may question ako girls. Diba ang daming bawal before getting married. Like bawal punta ng wake & other weddings. Bawal din ba tayo magpunta ng wAke? Coz pag wedding after us meron din certain time until pwede diba?

^Hi sis corpse_bride, congratulations! :)

Since na engage kami nag sasabi na si Ama na pwede pa daw dumalaw ng wake pero bawal na sumilip sa coffin then a month and month after bawal na daw talaga mag visit, meron pa siyang nasabi na 42 days pero hindi ko naintinidhan haha. Not sure if ganito talaga yun rule or siya lang hehe.

Sa amin ang namention lang sa akin, since naengage bawal na pumunta ng wake.. Yung after wedding nabasa ko lang somewhere na bawal din daw for a month na pumunta ng wake, pero wala pang namemention na ganun sa akin ang elders.

Bawal din mag attend ng another wedding parang 3 to 4 months before your wedding. Pero may close friends ako na kakasal siguro I won't attend the church ceremony but attend ako reception.

Omg sorry for the late reply thanks so much guys for all the tips. I contacted Elements at Centris and Tjioe the caterers. I think pasok naman sa budget pero I don't know how much is their styling. I kinda like getting Tjioe because they have all the usual wedding stuff already. But I'll contact Century Seafood and Gloria Maris and see. I really didn't think na kaya ko sila pero if we don't have to pay for the venue baka mas affordable sila.

Thanks so much guys!

Mga sis, may feedback ba kayo kay Willord as emcee?? Yung coordinator ko kasi is medyo advising na if kaya ko pa palitan si Willord, go.

Hello everyone! I'm just new here. And my bf proposed to me just 10 days ago, and I have not booked anything yet.

^I don't know about that, that after proposal, that I cannot attend wake. Because I just did. Although sabi po nila ang bawal ata is silipin un tao?
