We?ve been traveling to the US (& Asia) without an insurance the past years as my husband says we always go as a family naman.  Thus, should anything happen to us (knock on wood!), no one?s going to benefit from the insurance din.  Well, it?s  just us. Most of you might have a different opinion on this.  Nonetheless, thanks for replying 😊

^Accidents do happen, kaya may insurance.I got into a freak accident abroad, and my return flight, medical bills and recovery therapy sessions were mostly covered by my insurance.
I would encourage everyone to have one especially in places na mahal ang hospital bills for foreigners...

^^it's not that type of insurance It's ensuring you can afford to pay for any medical treatment you may require in that country. Super mahal ang fees pag naospital or if you receive any kind of medical treatment abroad pag hindi ka citizen. Your flight changes, loss of luggage/items, yan ang travel insurance. Hindi yung typical "pag namatay, may makukuha si so and so"

My Mom had a stroke in her sleep while she's on vacation dito. We went to the ER and she was hospitalised for several weeks. Wala syang binayaran, ni cotton ball. Everything was covered by the insurance company. When we visited Manila, our daughter had a very bad eczema flare up, we went to a Derma and all his fees, pati gamot prescribed, binayaran ng insurance company.

Also, when we went overseas, someone stole our DSLR. We filed a police report and the full amount of the camera was reimbursed to us.

Our family never travels overseas without it if we can afford to travel, we make sure we can afford to include that in the budget too.

Saan kayo kumuha travel insurance?

Last Taiwan trip, we got ours sa Malayan. I was supposed to get for our Sydney, hindi na ako nakakuha because wala ng time. But for US trip next month, ill get na as early as now.

Kapag nag-apply ba ng Australian visa and ma-grant siya, 3 months lang ba ang validity? Gusto ko magapply pero next year pa kami magtatravel bg family ko. And advantage ba yung meron kang US and Canadian visa? 🙂

paalis kami next next week papunta sydney. how true mahigpit sa immigration regarding food na ipapasok sa bansa nila? balak ko kasi magdala pasalubong like ube jam, lengua de gato at pili nuts para sa mga friends ko sa sydney. tingin nyo mahaharang ako?

^ Ang current declaration card very vague when it comes to food, although ang questions meron about seeds, dairy products etc. Declare mo na lang to be safe and may sniffer dogs din sometimes. We've been bringing food products from Manila and declare them sa customs and wala problema so far, as long as it is properly packed, a commercial product (like Mary Grace, Goldilocks, etc) and not of commercial quantity. An officer once told us it's okay if they are sweets, and not savoury or "Jollibee".

Hello there, ladies!

I have questions lang regarding online lodging of visa application (specifically for group application)...
I will be soon applying for our family of 4, myself, my husband and 2 children. I will be creating a group account which I have read is possible if you are applying as family.

1. Will I be the one the one to fill out each application form online? Or do I need to download the form and fill each one out and have the forms signed by the other applicants?
2. Should I provide Form 956 or 956a? Or both? Each applicant  din ba ito or just one for all?
3. Form 54 is for each application also?

Hope somebody can enlighten me on these. Thanks so much!

^hindi ko na maalala ano [textspeak!] mga application forms na ginawa ko for my kids but yes, ako naggawa for them tag isa sila.

medyo naco-confuse ako sa mga forms, especially between Form 956 and 956a.
Though doing further research, and forms na dapat kong i-provide are (a) Form 1419, (b) Form 54 and (c) Form 956...

Hello!

Need some advice lang on what will be the appropriate clothing to pack for autumn in Sydney. We're going around mid-April.

As per Accuweather, temps will be around 14-23C. Will light jackets be enough or not needed na?

^Light jackets, cardigans sis. Usually not needed pero mas maganda magdala kayo kahit tigi-isa.

Will bring na lang para sure. Lamigin pa naman ako. We're going to the Blue Mountains and Bondi and it might get chilly so I better come prepared. Naitanong ko lang kasi baka naman mukha kaming balot na balot whereas yung ibang tao naka-shorts pagdating namin doon... haha

Na-confuse lang din ako kasi kung bakit halos lahat ng nakikita kong posts sa IG for autumn in Sydney eh parang naka summer clothes lang sila, even the tourists. I am used to think that autumn means cold weather like in Japan and Korea.

^Di ko alam mga tourists sis pero dito sa Melbourne, kahit pa-end na ng Autumn around Mayy, naka shorts and tshirt pa din kami. Magdala ka na lang sis, para din kung umulan. Kung mid-April, di pa malamig niyan, baka nga summer weather pa din pagdating niyo.

Iba pala talaga ang weather sa Sydney no? I imagined it to be like Korea and Japan's autumn kasi. Buti na lang nagtanong talaga ako. Otherwise, baka nagdala ako ng maraming pang lamig tapos di naman pala magagamit. Sayang ang luggage space at weight allowance!

^Oh, May pa pala ang autumn nila... I though kasi March ang start ng autumn so I presumed April is a good month to go kasi malamig na, like 14-22C ang temps...
