^wow, sis rocky, P2500 is such a good deal! Magkakaroon pa kaya ng ganyang promo? Kung Holy Week next year ang travel date, will the fare price drop pa kaya? Mga nasa P10k one-way kasi ang nakikita kong price eh. Also sis, I have flown with CebuPac naman before, both domestic and international, pero for Sydney kasi, since 8hrs plus yung flight time that is why I am considering full service carriers sana... how was your experience with them ba on your Sydney flight? Thanks!

^ok naman sis, once pa lang ako na-delay ng 1 hour kasi traffic sa runway. wala lang talagang food kaya nagdadala ako ng bread para may brekky sa plane. hindi ko din kasi gusto food ng ceb pac. hehe! na-booked ko yang 2500 nong  feb, dapat nasa AU ako ngayon attend lang ng wedding kaso di ko na tinuloy hirap magpaalam sa office, kagagaling ko lang din kasi sa batanes & dubai

silip ka lang lagi sis sa website, pero baka pag holy week mahal yan dahil peak season. ngayon, melbourne laging naka-sale sa august start ng route nyan

PAL and Qantas good for Australian residents due to the schedule, times and baggage allowance. Pag weekdays (di ko pa natitingin sa weekends) pabalik nila to Manila, the flight is very early (parang 8AM yata) and arrival sa Manila just after 12PM. So kung may connecting flight ka pa sa probinsya, better timing. Weekends di ko pa nasubukan kasi mahal sila so weekdays ako lagi.

Cebupac is good if you are a tourist and sa pricing, sa baggage allowance na rin that you have to pay kasi up to 35 kg yata allowed (parang 23 lang yata sa PAL, and yes they do weigh your carry-on now). Dadating ka sa Sydney in the morning, tulog ka lang sa flight. Pagbalik sa Manila lunchtime yata, so if you're travelling by train from Sydney to the airport, di ka abot sa peak times na sobrang puno train. Besides terminal 3 is much much better than terminal 2. Di naman sila mabagsik if you're bringing your own food (I always buy before immigration sa Sydney airport's food court, cheaper than the ones sa airside), and ikaw na rin siyempre responsible sa entertainment.

Reasonable naman ang pricing sa Holy Week basta matiyaga checking sa prices sa website.

^^Thanks for sharing your thoughts, sis rocky and ataypool.  Actually, I have narrowed down my options na lang to 2. It's between Singapore Airlines na lang and CebuPac. Ayoko na din actually sa PAL and di ko rin type sa Terminal 2.  Maganda din yung flight sched ng SQ though not direct flight kasi. I know it  is not an apple to apple comparison in terms of service, but of course pag mas malaki savings, dun na lang kami sa mas mura ... hehe...I will check the price regularly na lang ng dalawa.  Thanks to you both!

May 10pm flight sa PAL to Sydney yan din kunin namin next month with my kids para tulog lang sila sa flight. Sana. Hehe

^Just allocate an extra hour or two just for the security check before check-in, they will inspect all your luggage. Nasa Manila ako last April, flying back to Sydney via PAL on a Sunday morning. Akala ko the 3 hours before check-in was okay, hindi pala. Puro singitan pa sa pila. Australia and US flights daw ginagawa iyon.

Just got back from my sydney trip 10 days ago. Ang saya, though I wasn't expecting much kasi. Didn't know that there were so many old european buildings kala ko parang BGC sya na modern city haha. Buti nalang yung hostel namin was walking distance to almost all the tourist destinations. Medyo maulan nga lang, good thing maaraw naman nung pumunta kami ng blue mountains.

I'll be back this July, haay thank god for the multiple entry visa. Let's see what melbourne has to offer naman. I know it's gonna be much colder kasi kasagsagan na ng winter lol but I'm super excited since this will be my first solo trip.

^yes mas malamig sa melbourne sis kesa sydney. IMO, mas gusto ko MEL, mas madaling mamasyal kahit mag-isa. may free tram don, kaya tipid

Just letting you know we purchased vodafone sim with 25gig of data for AUD20 at the airport. More than enough for our 8-day visit.

^wow ang mura nyan sis! may vodafone sim kasi ako then nirereload ko lang pagdating ng sydney airport. AUD15 nasa 1GB lang yata. kaya sobrang tinitipid ko sya hehe

May visa na kami ng kids ko, nagapply ako sa family online. So we were supposed to travel ng kami lang biglang lumuwag yung sched ni hubby. Pwede ko ba ilodge application nya using my immi account by new application or dapat gawa sya sarili immi account? Isip ko kasi baka lang para makita na may visa na family nya. :-D

Yes, pwede ko daw gamitin immi account ko for hubby. Yehey pero nagawan ko na din sya kahapon. Hahaha

^last Oct pa ako nagapply sis. Oct 28. Approved Nov 3. Bilis lang kasi may holiday pa. Hindi pa din kasi namin nagamit visa namin. Hindi kami natuloy sa Brisbane.

Ano ba pinaka okay na Meriton? Yung may malapit na train station and restos sana. Or kung may iba pa na hotel/serviced apartments na may washing machine. Hehe
