3.  Don't leave souvenirs on guest tables.   --- we had some guest (relatives) who horded souvenirs kahit hindi naman kanila so yung ibang guest complained that nawala yung souvenir nila sa table.  Kakahiya my mom had to re-order tuloy and have it sent to the other guest pa.

4.  Don't use tall flower arrangements on tables. --- ang hirap makita yung kausap mo pag may nakaharang sa table.

Sis so agree with these. Relate ako jan sa nanghohoard ng souvenirs. Common yan samin. Dapat isaisa talaga ibigay. Yung tall table centerpieces is really an No-No for me personally. So ako talaga low arrangements for my reception.

I agree about the souvenirs too. During my brother's wedding, yung extended family namin naghoard ng souvenirs kakahiya. Meron na sila kukuha pa ulit. I attended the wedding of my cousin since may registration sa start, at the end of the program dinistribute nila sa exit hall with names indicated sa box. At first naisip ko wow customized, but then I realized, the coordinators wrote the names after the registration, so controlled nila ang distribution. I might do the same thing. :)

Unfortunately yung souvenir kasi is Table Name Card holder.  Kaya talagang nilagay sa table with the Guest names para alam nila saan sila uupo.

I think the claim card idea could work better.  Sometimes there are guests na di naman interested s souvenirs so ok na din yun if you have limited supplies.

It's our 3rd wedding anniversary tomorrow and sakto nag re-reminisce ako hehe!

Some of our regrets are:

1)   Photos & Videos: sad to say, 'nasilaw' kame sa package and we thought we already got a good deal. Yes, in terms of budget, it was cheaper than others but at the end of the day, we didn?t like some of the photos. And parang hindi super hi-def yung pictures, pag zinu-zoom namen parang nagpipixelate. And included in the package was a huge digital frame where naka-loop lang yung mga pre-nup pics namen, hindi din nila nagawa during the wedding. For my B2B friends, I remind them to really invest in sa photographer & videographer (and food na din hehe!)

2)   Wedding Coordinators: an ex officemate of mine started a coordinating business and hindi naman kame yung 1st client ever but we were the 1st ata na na-handle nila na madaming guests; their usual clients have 100-150 guests; during our wedding, we ended up with 270 guests, nangarag sila. Some of the souvenirs of our primary sponsors after the wedding na nabigay kase umuwi na yung iba, hindi nila naabot. Food pa naman yung laman (cheese, cold cuts, jam, wine) so minadali pa namen i-deliver the next day.

3)   Bridal gown/Groom's suit: it?s not that I didn?t like it pero in a way medyo napa-yes nalang ako kase friend ng mom ko and parang he gave her a discount na sa package (bridal gown, 2 MOH, 3 BM, 1 FG, 2 mothers; ito na kase yung pinaka-help ni mommy during the wedding preps) plus he gifted me with a 2nd gown for the reception. The main gown was ok but parang not my peg so much and parang medyo loose/maluwag sa may bodice eh heavy nako tapos loose pa diba. Buti nalang mas maganda yung bagsak nung 2nd gown sa?kin. May pagka-last minute na din kase natapos so useless na kung ipa-overhaul ko. Also, he made the impression na he was going to make a suit for hubby (as in nag measure ng sleeve length, chest, etc) then a few days before the wedding (days!) we found out RTW yung inabot :( eh hubby is on the heavy side, hindi swak sa kaniya yung suit pag hindi made for him talaga. So 2 days before the wedding we had to come up with his suit ? as in buy each piece separately ? coat, tuxedo shirt, pants, etc. dito ko lang na-realize na mag kakaiba pa pala ang shades of black, my gulay! Kung san kase namen nabili yung coat, walang kasya na pants so we had to look for it separately. Dala dala pa namen yung coat everywhere kase kailangan mahanap yung matching na color ng black. Napamahal pa tuloy kase we splurged on his shoes na not knowing na we would have an extra expense for his suit, kawawa naman. Napahirit pa tuloy si hubby na bakit parang hindi important yung groom. This was supposed to be our pamper time, papa-massage na kame, mani/pedi, etc, wala nagiikot kame ng mall to build him a suit.

4)   Manicure/Pedicure: it's so trivial but I'm the one kase to notice small details so regret to for me hehe. Because of the issue above, hindi nako nakapag mani/pedi beforehand (at least 3-4 days) day before nalang ako nakapag manicure at hindi pa sa gusto ko. No choice nalang kase kung ano nalang yung pinakamalapit sa hotel. Gusto ko pa sana magpa-gel polish or acrylics pa nga or nail art pa on the ring finger sana hehe.

It's true though na kayong 2 lang makakahalata ng mga "mali/sablay" during the day itself or sa program kase syempre kayo yung involved with coming up with it. But hindi naman nahalata ng guests and a lot told us after na they had fun and nasarapan sila sa food so ok na kame with that. ;D

Hay, kaka-lurk ko dito and kakatingin ng mga pre-nup photos nyo parang nagsisisi ako na wala kaming pre-nup shoot. Hehe. Pero not our personality kasi... Baka pangit kalabasan, ayaw ko mag-emote eh. Hehe.

^i have the same concern, sis! hehe. kami kasi ni bf, kakaunti lang din ang pictures together. unless nalang na out of town, syempre gusto din namin ng remembrance ng place. pero most of the time, kung lalabas lang kami sa mall or restaurant, hindi talaga kami mapicture. hehe. so, kinakabahan kami na baka hindi kami maging comfortable sa photoshoot, hindi kasi sanay. haha.

T-10 days away from the wedding and one regret is that I did not take a 2-week leave before the wedding.  So now I'm doing 11-hour work days while troubleshooting last minute things for the wedding (i.e., hard to contact suppliers, invited guests who won't RSVP etc.).  I don't even know when I'll be able to get my hair colored etc.! :-p

so far everything went well. Maybe my only regret was nabalewala ko ang small details na dapat tapos na like the tokens that we gave to our entourage kasi inaayos ko pa until the last minute the day before our wedding. But honestly speaking all the expenses were all worth it dahil nakita ko naman na maganda ang lahat at almost mid range ang pinagkukukuha namin kaya hindi rin masakit sa bulsa! My only advise is kapag your options was down to 3 choices always get the middle para safe sa skills and expenses. Sometimes we get the lowest but at the end of the day magsisisi dahil their craftmanship wasn't good enough. or we get the highest but our pocket is already crying out loud and hindi maka relax dahil may babayaran pa. We just have to talk to our suppliers of the things that we want like the pegs and everything and magugulat ka pa kasi on the day beyond expectation pa ang kaya nila ilabas. and pinaka important sa lahat PRAYERS!

I have few regrets din sa wedding namin like sa suppliers meal. May hipon! Buttered garlic shrimp naman kaso hipon yun eh. Sino pa ang may time magbalat. 😣 Nahiya tuloy ako sa suppliers. Buti nalang 2 yung ulam.

Regrets ko during the big day, ang dami kong photog! Hahahaha! Kaya ang gulo nung prep room ko nun kasi 10 na tao dun photogs lang. And then syempre un video team pa na nasa mga 4 din na tao. Yun gown designer and then yung assistants nya. My HMUA, coords, dami daming tao nakaka taranta! Also, as a result may mga kaagaw sa magandang shots na sana un main photog ko na sila sana nakatayo dun kaso naunahan ng back up na photog. So ayun, di dapat madaming back up photog. I had two kasi, and ang di ko akalain eh buong teams din nga naman kasama nila, I suppose. Kaya ayun. Kaloka.  :P

^^ Actually isa ito sa concerns ko. Kasi my P/V team is 9 na. Tapos my friends were ready to come if I want them to photograph din for my wedding -- kasi they are professional photogs. Pero I was concerned baka andami masyado photographer also baka awkward na I have a 2nd team baka di ok sa primary photographers ko. So baka di na lang, or shoot na lang ako with them another time.

Pero gusto ko sana yung friends ko magshoot, kasi I do landscape photography and they do landscapes too -- gusto ko sana lagyan ng landscape/waterscape  elements yung photos namin. Also, a couple of them are brand ambassadors for Canon -- we can borrow equipment for free.

sis LilaFowler it might be risky to have two teams. Bukod sa nakakapagod for you kasi they need both time to take shots idagdag mo pa yung videographer mo to have time.

Yung photographer namin may exclusivity sa event. We cannot have 2nd team sa event nakalagay mismo sa contract. Chaka baka magkagulo na sa preps my photo has 6 on their team and 8 si videographer Idagdag pa si coordinator and si hmua tapos relatives sa prep room.

I agree with sis lots-o! :) It is usually indicated in their contracts na dapat isang team lang talaga sila na mag cover pn photos and shempre awkward din sa na-book na photographers baka mafeel nila that they're not good enough :( Siguro better if separate photoshoot na lang lang :)

Grabe ang dami ng 10 photogs sis earthangelivy. Parang ang gulo na. hahahaha. Pero at elast madami kang photos sis.

Agree ako kay sis Lots-o and  kdramaholic. Baka magkaagawan sila ng angles. Maybe you can post nup with them nalang sis.  :)

We have 3 persons in our Photo team and 5 in our video team. Ofcourse a part of the team will be in the groom's room too. Coord maybe is 3-4 persons. But all the Bmaids and SS and relatives will be in the room too so I'm expecting na magiging chaotic and preps room ko. hahahaha

regrets namin ni hubby? hinde namin tinuloy Tagaytay wedding namin and settled here in Manila na lang.

Our wedding was 3 years ago, wala naman kami major regrets talaga until last month nung nag Taal Vista kami, naalala namin wedding namin.

^sis eto ata ang reason, nakita ko lang sa kabilang thread

With Hizons besides the setup, mostly worry about the quantity of food...

To Hizon's Catering,

We enjoyed and loved our wedding last November 26, 2016 at Versailles, Alabang. We are still celebrating our honeymoon but we really need to raise a few questions for you.

1. Our agreed guest count was 160 (+10% buffer right?). But due to rain and traffic our guest count ended up only at 135. So bakit kinulang yung appetizers pero kayo naman ang nag serve ng portions? Bakit yung ibang guests namin kailangan pa humingi sa VIP table for appetizers? It rained, may traffic, after lunch ang start ng reception namin, that is the main reason we paid for appetizers for our guests kasi alam namin pag dating nila - gutom sila.

2. When some of our guests asked for appetizers, do you really have to give just a plate of appetizers for a 10 pax table? 5x appetizers yun diba and again 160 ang agreed head count natin.

3. When my mom started to get mad dahil kinulang sa appetizers, she was referred to the head waiter which referred her to the supervisor who was (hiding) on the 2nd floor. Ano ang ginagawa ng supervisor ninyo sa second floor if our reception is held at the ground floor grand ballroom?

4. We paid x,xxx pesos per plate for buffet and we have 2x kinds of pasta, pero kailangang papiliin ninyo ang guests namin kung either pasta lang, kung white OR red sauce lang? We paid for buffet right?

5. Appetizers palang nagreklamo na yung ibang relatives ko, kaya when the program ended, binantayan kayo sa pag balot ng natirang food. Bakit sobrang dami pa palang leftover food?

After receving honest feedbacks from our family and guests, the only criticism that we got was on your catering service. For our wedding we worked on a budget but sa food ng guests kami hindi nagtipid that's why we paid extra sa kinuha namin na package ninyo tapos kayo pala mismo ang titipid sa amin. We felt cheated.

From us newlyweds: Double thumbs down. Not recommended.
