Haha. Sa amin naman, just got wed last May. May pa yun ha! Umulan pero hindi naman malakas. And i think for only 5 to 10 mins lang. Good thing, nasa reception na kami and nagpprogram na. And, its a pavillion. So the show went on! Haha. Anyway, we consider that a blessing. Kasi, sobrang init that time, then suddenly, umulan ng maiksi, then stopped na din. 😊

Yup! The show must go on talaga! Dito talaga napatunayan sino yung mga taong literal na will weather the storm just to be there for you sa wedding day nyo. Nakakataba din ng puso!

I wonder if binaha wedding ng friend mo? Usually those are the ones being featured sa news eh. :D

For sure it was already flooding in Manila that day kasi evening pa lang it was raining non-stop na. Our wedding is in Antipolo kaya walang flooding hehe!

I wanted a reception by the beach but knowing how bipolar our weather is and my wedding is July, we chose to have it indoors nalang. I can only pray that our July wedding will not be rainy.  :(

@ANJFinally
hi sis! finally, its your turn naman :) Converted to Christian na din kasi kami sis kaya di na kami naniniwala sa mga alay alay ng eggs. :D
And we prayed even before pa, I think a year for a good weather sa wedding namin. Eh kaso yun, hehe. Iba plans ni Lord. Hehe! We looked at it as a blessing sa aming lahat kahit tulad ni sis yannuh, konti lang outdoor shots! haha!

@marsala
pray lang sis, let God's will be done. just prepare na lang :)

@MissEi

So everyday, we're praying talaga na sana maayos ang weather. To think tagaytay, and yung way pa Caleruega is lubak pa, so for sure maputik talaga. I agree, Only God knows. He will provide what's best for us. =)

@sis marsala - yes try natin sis, wala namang mawawala. Hahaha! I remembered last August 2012 yung sis ni h2b got married, nag alay sila ng itlog sa altar kasi nga tag ulang buwan. But like the other brides here, bingayo din sila. The good thing was, kapag may mga outdoor shots before and after the ceremony, walang ulan pero makulimlim talaga. And yung venue nila was a private area na may club house sa loob. May roof pero walang walls. Talagang medyo umaanggi papasok yung ulan kasi may kasama pang malakas na hangin. Wew! but aside from the rain, everything went well naman.

Wala narin kaming props, baka DIY nalang. Then sa outfit, yung magagamit parin namin after. Hahaha! Ang problem ko lang is HMUA, medyo pricey ang HMUA ko kapag kinuha ko sya sa pre-nup session - okay lang ba to get a different one? Ang problem ko kasi, hindi ako lumaking pala make up. Baby powder, cheek tint at lip balm lang ako araw-araw talo talo na. Panget pa naman ng kilay ko. hahahaha!

I agree with sis twinx.. talagang si Lord lang talaga ang makakapagsabi. hehe. We had our prenup and wedding just days apart last June 7 and June 10. Outdoor ang prenup ko, and wala kaming plan B. Sobrang thankful talaga kami, kasi the days before June 7, ang lakas ng ulan. And if ever umulan, wala kaming sisilungan sa Muntinlupa Sunken Garden dahil puros puno yun at lake. hehe. Kaya after nun, mega thank you  kami kay Lord.

Prayers lang talaga mga sis. Pero just in case be ready na din, lalo na mga July-September brides, kasi since birth alam natin na eto yung rainy season sa Pinas. Have a great preps mga sis. :D

Thanks sisses. Let's just lift everything to God. Sana wag bagyuhin mga wedding natin. Dati Dec. very safe month for weddings, ngayon binabagyo na lagi. Sabi pa naman sa news july-dec. tag ulan, hay:( but im still hoping for the best.

Our wedding was held in the month of January nung time na dumating si Pope Fransis. Umanbon after ng program. Iyong IBA hindi naka-attend due to no network signal (for pope's security) DAW pero kung talagang FRIEND mo pupunta at pupunta iyan harangan man ng sibat, right? Saka very accessible naman ang church na napili namin kaya I don't think there's no reason para hindi makapunta. That FRIEND is not friends with me anymore. Hindi din kami civil sa isa't isa as in deadmahan lang kami (btw we're officemates until now). Actually, one of the reasons lang iyong hindi nya pagpunta bukod dun madami pang reason why we're not friends anymore.

my greatest regret was:

1. to expect all my visitor will come and attend our wedding.
our wedding was in caleruega and our visitors came from cavite, quezon, manila area.

-- i should have talk to them one by one to make sure that transportation is not an issue.
i could have arrange a transportation vehicle for them.

2. to invite exactly 150 guest only
we would like our wedding to be intimate that is why we only invited few of our close friends, relatives and colleagues.
but because of problem 1 the people came in short to 95-110 only and caused lots of left over food in the reception.
guest who came were very happy going home naman coz we our caterer prepared food container for them to take home what ever food left.
-- RSVP really is not being practiced in PH. i could have invited like 200 people and i might get a show up of 150.

Malaki kasi pamilya ko on both sides, like last year when my brother got married in Tagaytay, ang reservation nila for 180 guests lang pero ang total headcount was 215!. Both side kasi ng families ko a day before pa lang ng wedding mga nakacheckin na sa Tagaytay para daw di sila matrapik hehe. So what I plan to do right now is yung mga adults lang ang sasabihin kong umattend at wag na isama lahat ng mga pinsan kong mga bata pa at di nman kasama sa entourage. We also have to invite respective officemates, friends at common friends namin plus mga friends pa ng parents namin na gusto nila iinvite. :P ::) ???

IF I HAD NEVER MADE THE WEDDING UPGRADES I MADE, I DON'T THINK I WOULD REGRET IT EITHER. I WOULD BE GLAD I SAVED THE MONEY and PUT THAT MONEY TO BETTER USE rather than spending for all these wedding upgrades THAT DON'T REALLY MATTER AND NO ONE CARES ABOUT IN THE END.

^^Omigod sis this is such an eye opener.  Sometimes I question myself too, and why I stress over the littlest details.  Like, just the other day, I spent 2 hours online looking for the perfect tissue paper I can use to match the boxes for the PS gifts.  That's 2 hours of my life I can never take back.  Hehe.  It's crazy how much time and money we spend on things that most people wouldn't even notice, and we try to justify the costs by saying, "Once in a lifetime lang naman eh".

My fiance and I could have saved a lot of money if I didn't opt for the upgrades.  One regret I have right now, and it's sad because our wedding is 3 months away pa, is switching ballrooms just to accommodate the extra guests.  That doubled our costs!  Bigger ballroom means more expensive lights and sounds, styling, food, and the list goes on and on. :(

We could've used that money to travel more, or do home renovations in the future.  Luckily, we bought our house prior to our engagement and it's fairly new, but then after the wedding is all over, the extra money we spent for the upgrades could've been used for more worthy investments.
