Regrets After wedding

This topic is to discuss any regrets that you had on your wedding. Of course, we know theres no perfect wedding. So lets share to each other ano ano ang regrets nyo even the simplest and funniest things. Example: masyado kang mabilis lumakad sa church nung entrance mo, mataas masyado pagkakahawak mo sa flowers, natapilok ka or whatever you like to post. Just to ventilate our feelings and make fun out of it! And of course, to give lesson to our future brides! Game!

These are my regrets, just small things lang if may chance sana is nacorrect ko pa. Kaso tapos na so lets make fun of it. 😂

1. medyo nabitin ang gown ko kasi ang taas pala ng takong ko. If only i knew, sana ng 2 inches takong lang ako. Hindi naman super bitin, medyo lang. But it makes me feel like "syet! Bakit ganun?! Urrggh" hahaha. Buti sa reception nagchange ako ng shoes.

2. We dont have complete family picture both in church and reception. Hmm. Sa church kasi, we have a family picture with my siblings and my mother. (Thats complete immediate family pic) Kaso yung picture together with my only pamangkin and with my brothers wife ay wala. Sayang. Sa reception naman, we were not able to take photos sa stage kasi they were in the vip seats so kami ang nagpicture dun sa table nila. After the party, my mother was so busy taking out the foods so no time to take photos sa stage. Hahaha.

3. How i wish i didnt get too emotional sa entrance ko. Hahaha. Iyak kasi ako ng iyak. Of course its a tears of joy na finally we are here, secondly, its because my father (RIP) was not there to send me to altar. Kaya ang pictures ko tuloy, puro nakaiyak. Hahaha. 😂 But im so glad that my photovid team able to catch the moment i smiled and yun ang pinost nila sa sde namin.

Other than that, our wedding is beautiful, full of tears and fun. ❤️❤️❤️

haha ko din i wanna share my uber "minor" regrets lang naman sa wedding. Overall, successful naman and happy ang wedding ko:)


-freebie ang projector ni caterer. Kung alam ko lang ganun kaliit yun sa personal, kumuha na sana ko ng separate supplier for that.i did not bother to ask the specs kasi when i ask my officemate na nagrefer samen sa caterer and kinonfirm na malaki nga sya ang enough sa audience sa RMH, di na ko nag usisa pa only to find out na ang liit nya pala huhu

-ang bigat ng bridal bouquet ko. literal huhu. happy ako na nasunod yung peg ko na sinend sa florist pero nung inabot na sken, parang dapat 2 kamay ko sya hawakan huhu hirap tuloy sa pictorial

-did not invite those who rsvp'd but did not show up on the wedding day (friendship over :p)

-nagprepare sana ako wedding speech. wala ako halos masabi sa sobrang overwhelmed. Buti si hubby prepared

-same with daeyan, sana hindi OA yung iyak ko nung bridal entrance, walang maayos na shot hahaha! ni pagyuko tapos pag angat ng ulo wala, basta crayola much. sabi nga nung coordinator kala nila mahihimatay ako kakaiyak. ewan ko ba yun nafeel ko nung araw na yun hehe

My wedding has been a long time na and it's now a blur...but when  i look at our wedding photos, i regret holding my wedding bouquet too high (but during that time i wasn't aware of it).
Kaya sa mga photos, natakpan tuloy yung beading ng wedding gown ko.
Yun lang naman. I know, it's such a minor thing

Me too... I have regrets but these are super minor ones and I am thankful the wedding went well:

1.  Wedding gown- I shouldn't have paid for a final upgrade to add more beading. They didn't have time at 3days before wedding so it didn't make a difference. I also had another belt made at 4k. I wish I was more decisive about the belt so I didn't have to pay for 2 belts.

2. I wish I reviewed our program more carefully. Hubby gave coordinator the impression that he didn't want to give a speech during our wedding so it wasnt included in the program.

3. Hubby is into music with friends, so they chose songs that were not mainstream for the after party.  I wish we had more upbeat mainstream songs especially for the younger guests.

4. I had zero emotions and all smiles walking down the aisle. I took 2 valiums prescribed my my doctor.  Although I was able to relax and enjoy and let go, I had no emotions at all.

5. I almost fainted in the ceremony, so perhaps I should've forced myself to eat lunch.

6. I wish I exercised more before the wedding to really tone my problem area = my arms =) =)

7. Our church was super strict and so we were running late and the church coordinator did not want to wait any longer for my brothers who got stuck in traffic. They weren't able to march.

I had one major and a few minor regrets but overall, really very happy and proud of our wedding

MAJOR - I should have trusted my gut feel and got a better coordinator.

MINOR - Mas ok sana prep time kung may music.. I wasn't able to setup my laptop anymore for it.
- I wish I had more photos with my parents in the hotel, the church, the reception, etc. I wish the photographers took photos of the guests as well. Although the photos were superb and minsan lang yun, nasobrahan ng photos namin hehe.
- We were so nervous from walk down the aisle until end of the ceremony kita tuloy sa photos parang galit kami haha!
- Sana sinerve namin yung cake. Someone was expecting haha eh meron naman na kasi dessert servings.
- Dapat kumain kami during dinner haha we were so hungry when we got back to the hotel!

Just want to say that this is a very good thread para sa mga future brides na katulad ko. This way we could learn from past brides and adjust accordingly.☺

Hello mga sisters.. makiki share nadin ako puro minor lang naman pero sana makatulong sa mga wedding niyo

-sleep early the night before the wedding. nagpuyat pako kakaisip sa wedding, you need all the energy sa wedding day kaya sleep early

- ang daming tao sa bridal suite ko..hahahah! dun kasi nag pa make up yung mga abays and titas ko, sana nag book nalang ako ng separate room for them.

- if 3pm and wedding niyo, 230pm ang ilagay niyo sa invites, merong mga ninang ang ninongs na late, nakikita ko sila from inside the bridal car dumadating hahaha!

-Sinabihan ako na walk slowly bago mag open yung door, pero ang bilis ko parin maglakad sa bridal march, i can see Ms. Rio telling me to walk slowly pero mabilis padin..hahaha! ewan koba! biglang nandon nako sa halfway with my parents, hindi ko masyado nasulit yung moment ko

-magbaon kayo ng flat shoes, super sakit na ng paa ko after ng ceremony, specially sa mga malilit din na tulad ko na 4 to 5 inches and heels

- please mga sis, kumain kayo sa reception, ginutom ako after the reception kumain pa kami sa hotel after,,hahaha!

TIP: If you have a 2nd look/retouch before grand entrance sa reception tell your caterer to serve you your food already. We had our main dish served and ate it really quick before our entrance. In the VIP table we just ate our soup and stood up to table hop already. Almost impossible to eat at your wedding, best time is before you make your entrance.

BRIDAL GOWN: masyado ako naging kampante na maganda kakalabasan nya, straight na straight yung katawan ko sa pictures.  sana before palang sinabihan ko ng dapat may corset!

ENTOURAGE PICTURE: wala akong whole entourage picture. sana nirequest ko kay photographer talaga iyun.

BACKDROP: eto talaga pinaka epic fail ng wedding namin.

DIYs: proper endorsement dapat sa coordinator.

Yes sis! Ang dami nating giniveup na guests for them then they will not show up. And yes! Hindi ko din maexplain ang feeling when i saw the church. I was like, wow, eto na talaga. Tapos sabog na luha ko. I even cover my face when the door was opened kaya nakakatawa nung pinanood ko. Sayang. I should have fake my smile para maganda sana sa pictures. 😂

- sis chili1113, yung emotions ko sumobra, yung sayo naman kumulang konti. Pero i bet, mas magandang tingnan sa pictures ang nakasmile ka kesa yung iyak moments ko na halos baluktot na yata yung face ko.😂 Really, nakakalungkot na nakakatawa na ang pangit ko palang umiyak. 😂

-its good na hindi ka nagfaint. I was wondering before, what if i fainted? Ano kayang magiging ganap? Hehe.

-awww sis. This is sayang talaga. But the important is andoon sila to celebrate with you that day. ❤️😊

Hi sis! I have seen so many brides holding their bouquet na medyo napataas. I guess, talagang minsan hind natin matantya kung saang level ba natin to hahawakan. Me, i asked my photovid team if its fine na. And they say, "baba konti. O sobrang baba naman, taas taas naman. O ayan pwede na yan. Ganyan lang." Haha.

-sa tingin ko sis, its normal na yata talaga na hindi enough ang tulog a day before the big day! Haha. Kahit ako, i slept at 10am, and woke up at 2am. Kaya sa isang picture ko, wagi anh ang eyebags ko.😂
-yes. Send invites na atleast 30 mins earlier. Filipino time tayo masyado, they are thinking na late magsstart yun ceremony. Buti skin, maaga sila nakarating. The problem is, late si father. 😂
-the momen when the door opens, we really know what will happen. Nakakconscious pero we really cant control kung anong mangyayari. Hehe.
-i got my flats! Kaya nung reception, nakasayaw ako ng maayos kasi nakaflats nko. 😊

daeyan: i just realized after attending a good friend's wedding na zero emotions pala ako nung wedding ko kasi mas naiiyak pa ako watching my friend walk down the aisle bwahahaha... I was so chill due to my medication. But Ok na din siguro since I was able to sleep well the day before since I was on medication. Also, I am such a type A personality control freak na I was able to enjoy and smile the whole night without a worry. I look back and wish I could relive my wedding day over and over because I really enjoyed.

In my first wedding kasi sobrang toxic ako as in simangot and sungit and stresses during preps and it showed in the pics!!!! This time puro smile lang. Plus grabe iyak ko the 1st wedding when I danced with my dad. As in halos mahimatay ata ako sa iyak and again it showed in the video and pics. Kasi I could hardly breathe sa iyak. So this time around I asked for medication hahahaha

While brides who graduated have regrets... ako naman may fears...
1) Iiyak ng iiyak while walking down the aisle --- gripo pa naman ako! JUSKOPO!
2) Himatayin sa sobrang nerbiyos... NYAY
3) Unpredictable clumsy moments -- matapilok, madulas or kung ano ano pa...

Will keep this in mind: (Sana di ko makalimutan!)
- Photos with family (A MUST!)
- Bridal bouquet position
- Take time to walk down the aisle

Sis bollin_pop , yes sis! Take note of these things. 😊 Yung sa family pictures and bouquet we can do something about that. Pero yung sa emotions, it will come out naturally unless just like sis chili113 na nagmedication prior to that which i think is helpful din para magcalm down. Pero mind you, nakakatawang balikan yung mga emotions especially when you saw in the pics how hard you cried. 😂 😊

- photos with the family counted a lot talaga sis. Even me. That breaks my heart realizing na naku, wala pala kaming super complete family picture. Anyway, papicture na lang tayo sa studio. 😁

Nothing's perfect naman but on the day, as is always said, let go and let God and it will still be the best day ever ☺️
