Dry Hair
« on: June 14, 2016, 05:16:38 pm »
Hi, sisses,

sobrang dry and frizzy ang hair ko, might be dahil i always rebond or relax my hair depending on what i feel. ayaw ko na sana muna dahil sa matapang na chemicals, baka after few months mas mag-dry hair ko. someone said that i should use hair spa or hot oil. what would be the most effective hair spa in the market affordable and at the same time effective and easy to find din sana. tia sissis

We're on the same battle ground, lol. Not an expert, but I think you might want to test your hair porosity.

"Porosity is your hair's ability to absorb moisture and is broken down into three categories: low, normal and high."

Hair Porosity test:
Just get a strand of your hair, put it in a container, wait for at least 2 mins. Results:
https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/e5/a4/22/e5a42271b8db366a4eebdf70cfbe0783.jpg

1. Then do a research on how to hydrate or moisture that type of hair porosity.
2. Check the do's and dont's (effective/not effective).
3. Take note on how your hair react on certain products. Kung okay ba siya sa protein, or tuwing more protein ba ay nagiging stiff yung buhok? (e.g. coconut oil)

-----
E.g. I have low porous hair, kaya heavy oils, butters, creams, ay parang 'nakapatong' lang sa hair ko at hindi niya napepenetrate sa hair shaft. This will lead to product build up = parang barrier sa mga products mo / "patong-patong" lang rather than doing what it's supposed to do. I also get stiff hair when I use the wrong type of protein for my hair (coconut oil/honey). I'm still on the look for right products, research... trial and error... taking notes... Good luck!

Dry, Curly and Very thick hair -- yan ang hair situation ko.  I have been on the hunt for years how mabawasan ang dryness at frizziness ng hair ko.

What worked for me is to not wash my hair everyday.  3x a week lang ako nag wawash ng hair, and it helped a lot dahil hindi na sobrang dry ang hair ko.  Ok lang naman akong d magwash ng hair kase di ako nagcocommute to work so less alikabok at pawis.  Just not sure if pwede ko itong gawin pag andyan ako sa Pinas.

Nung una nadidiri akong di i-wash ang hair ko, but I've read articles about my hair texture na talagang mas nagdadry at nagbubuhaghag ang hair ko kapag everyday wash.  Try reading about it, and see if this will work for you.

Sis mikewazowski, thanks for sharing these info..gagawin ko yang test na yan.

My problem is dry ends with a lot of split ends and oily roots. I wash my hair every other day, unfortunately I can't go beyond that as I get dandruff :(

I can't use serums or oils (ie. argan oil) as it weighs my hair down and gets stringy. If I use coconut oil, I have to shampoo 2-3x to get all the residue off.

Yan din ang problem ko before kahit I used hair treatment weekly. Color treated/rebonded yung hair ko then I tried Keratin Express Blowout. I am very happy with the result coz manageable and hindi na frizzy yung hair ko.

Where did you have express keratin treatment? Is it david's salon? I've read some blog on the internet that it only costs 1.5k. But when I went yesterday at david's sm north, they quoted me a whooping proce of 7.7k. And they insisted that it's the only one that they have.

very nice tip, thanks for this!

My hair also got frizzy (super! sagad anit!) after giving birth. as in nakadagdag sa stress. lol!  Can't do any chemical treatment yet at that time since, well, there's the baby.

Anyway, what helped me was Apple cider vinegar and every other day (sometimes, every 3days) shampooing.  With apple cider, i dilute it w water then last rinse sya.  When I dont shampoo naman, i also wash my hair kaso water lang.

medyo it helped naman.

Bra length sis, i paid 5k kasi nagkataon din na may promo sila for keratin treatment. Accdg to them 4-6 weeks lang daw yung Keratin Express Blowout. I regretted talaga ba't ako nagparebond before.

nag diy rebond ako and nasunog ko yung hair ko. first 3 days okay sya, but when I washed it, ayun. Double dead. Colored my hair a month before din kasi and I forgot. kaya ngayon yung buhok ko super dry. as in, pag nagshampoo ako ng morning, gabi na, di pa din sya natutuyo completely. tsaka ang lambot na nya (not in a good way) na parang goma. nag ddry conditioning ako. i apply hair treatment on my dry hair, usually sa ends lang kasi dun talaga sya dry e, then leave it overnight. comfy naman matulog kasi hindi basa. pero i still put towel over my pillow just in case. in the morning super bagsak sya. kaso pag wash ko, medyo balik lang din sya ulit sa dati. wanna try yung powerdose treatment. maganda daw sabi ng ate ko kaso wala ako makita sa watsons :(

I suggested once to a friend na gumamit siya ng mayonnaise hair treatment sa kanyang dry and frizzy hair.

Same problem. Ang hirap ng frizzy ang hair. Parang ang bruha bruha mo everyday. I tried yung mga pampahid sa hair like Black Beauty cuticle coat. Pero I do follow the instructions written on the container.

Same here, sis. Tapos I bought Matrix Sensoria Care Apricot at saka hair repair serum sa HBC.

Yan lang panlaban ko sa dry hair after shampooing. pero i shampoo every other day. I just use dry shampoo in between washes. And used apple cider rinse once a week. This helped a lot revive my hair dahil sa kakacolor and hormonal changes post pregnancy..

dry hair din ako, have tried a lot of treatments na din including keratin na wala pa ata 1 week ang effect.
basta 2 to 3 times a week lang ako magshampoo then bugbog sa conditioner everyday, yung normal na 200ml minsan hinde abot ng 1 week on my shoulder length hair, nag deep conditioner din ako once a week.
