Im based abroad din and planning to give birth here kasi nga parang ang short lang ng maternity leave. I want to maximize it pag labas na ni baby

We are visiting PH next month to buy baby stuffs there and to visit my family as well kasi hindi na kami makaka uwe ng christmas. May edd is January 13 2017

I'm planning to do 3D/4D scan there kasi mas mura kaso lang I'm only 23 weeks pag dating namin sa pinas. Okay lang kaya yun? Or baka hindi parin ganun ka fully recognize ang face ni baby? Nabasa ko kasi alteast 28 weeks and up daw...

^sis, jan mo na lang gawin yung scan kasi baka masayang lang kung sa Pinas mo lang gagawin kasi too early pa.

^^you can have it at 23 weeks but ofcourse better yung facial features ni baby pag mas mature na. The first time we did 3d kay baby was when i was only 19 weeks preggy. Then pinapabalik kami pag 24 weeks na daw. At 24 weeks naman pwede na. Nakita namin si baby in 3d pero di muna namin pina print! Pwede pa naman kami bumalik next month. Free lang kasi ang rescan kung ayaw mo pa ipaprint.

First baby kasi namin kaya I want to do yung mga ganyan para remembrance hehe  But my husband said baka dagdag gastos lang daw pag uwi namin ng pinas kung hindi parin fully mature face ni baby. tapos hindi na kami makakabalik pag nahirapan sila iscan sa position ni baby. 1 week lang kasi kami uuwi.

Yes sis working ako dito abroad ngayon, pero nagresign nako. Maiiwan muna si hubby dito. Gusto ko din sana dito na manganak kaso need ko ng katulong, mahirap magvisa kasi dito kaya no choice din. Besides, naiwan din panganay ko sa Pinas, kaya nagdecide kami na alagaan ko muna mga anak ko sa Pinas.

^^ if i were you, ill go for it. Makikita mo na face ng baby mo. Though baka di pa sya ganun kataba. Yun lang. Pero as per the eyes lips and nose, developed na yan by 23 weeks. Kesa wala. Itll cost you around 1500 pesos. Pag nanganak ka na, di mo na mababalik ang time na nasa tummy mo ulit si baby para magka 3d pic sya

Hello mga sis, my OB told me about the first trimester screening kasi it can check chromosomal abnormalities like Down syndrome, trisomy 21 and 18. Im at 11 weeks na kasi and now is the time to have it done until 14 weeks ata. Medyo namamahalan ako sa test...has anyone else here been offered to do the first trimester screening as well? My doc is not pressuring me to take the test, but its an option to think about daw.

Hi Sis! How old are you? Afaik, such tests are only advised to patients above 35 yrs old or if you or your husband have someone in your family with congenital abnormalities (down syndrome, cleft palate, rheumatic heart disease, etc)

Even CAS nga at 18-24 weeks is optional. I only asked my OB to issue request for CAS. Sabi nya kung gusto ko daw talaga, okay. Pero above 35 yrs old lang daw talaga nirerequire nila for congenital anomaly scan.

If you think you need to undergo for peace of mind, go for it.

^^I was asked by my OB before if I want to do that test also but it's my husband who said no.
He said that it will just make me become stress lang when they found out something. And nothing will change whatever the result is.

Dito kasi sa singapore, they often do the test then if they found out mataas ang chance ng baby nila na magka down syndrome, they will not continue their pregnancy

there are 2 test as per my OBs explanation, one is they call OSCAR test, this is done by ultrasound lang ng specialist to check your baby's structure, from there they will know if something is wrong but I read a lot of negative reviews kasi malaki daw yung chance na magkaron ng false result. It cost about 10k here.

the other one is more advance. they will just take a blood sample from you then ipapadala sa US for examination, from there dun nila malalaman if my chance na magkaron ng abnormalities si baby and they even can determine the gender already. It cost 30K here.

We just decided to do the CAS this end of the month.


Agree din ako kay sis stylus coz they said that there's a higher chance of abnormalities if you get pregnant 35yo and above. But still it's up to you. My mom got pregnant unexpectedly at 44 years old and my lil sis is normal. hehe

Oo sis! Nakakastress lang at nakakapraning. Kung kami lang ni hubby ayaw namin magpaganyan kasi ngayon lang naman nauso. Hehe. Kaso when i was at 12 weeks, my former ob told us na mukhang 2 vessel lang daw ang umbilical cord ng baby instead na 3. At wala ka makikitang magandang sagot sa google kung ano effect nun!

Sabi sa net possible daw magka heart or kidney problem ang baby. Wait daw muna kami until 18 weeks para maconfirm. Gusto ko sa sabihin sa ob na "bakit mo yan sinabi eh di ka pa naman pala sure?!?" Imagine the burden waiting 6 more weeks? Hubby and i decided na ipagpray ang health ng baby namin. 9 consecutive sundays kami nagsimba sa landayan church sa san pedro laguna. Marami daw kasi humihiling dun ng baby or para sa baby.. 9 sundays na bbyahe kami manila to laguna.

Sakto 24 weeks na ako nung natapos yung novena namin. Dumaan muna ako sa baclaran nagpray kay mother of perpetual help na sya na bahala sa baby ko.. then nagpa CAS nako. Thank God fully developed ang umbilical cord ni baby! Though may nakitang maliit na cyst pero nothing to worry naman daw yun.

Just eat right. Wag pastress. And pray pray pray!

Trues sis pray lang talaga. Before when we got married and we found out na I have pcos and mahihirapan mabuntis. We never forget to pray at night kahit na minsan we skip sunday mass we always make sure na to pray at night at wala akong ibang hiniling kay Lord kundi to give us a greatest blessing which is having a child. Then surprise! I became pregnant

Ngayon naman ang prayers namin every night is sana maging healthy, normal and safe si baby
So far everything is smooth sailing naman with our pregnancy journey..

My hubby and i agreed not to do the first trimester screening. Im turning 35 this year maybe thats why my OB brought it up. I also did research na may chance for false results, eh tama kayo mga sis that its a cause for added stress. But definitely i will do the CAS screening. I even saw the Panorama prenatal test in Hi Precision where they take a blood test to check for chromosomal abnormalities and even know the baby's gender in as early as 9 weeks. I was intrigued by this test but i backed out as soon i found out how super expensive it was. Hihintayin ko na lang in my 5th month kung ano ang gender ni baby via ultrasound.

Ako i still believe na wala sa age yan. Si God lang talaga nakakaalam. One of my tita got married at the age of 40. She gave birth at 42 sa panganay ha. After nun nasundan pa ng isa. 44 yrs old na yata sya nung nanganak sa bunso. Healthy naman pareho.

Though ofcourse... nabasa ko since advanced na ang technology, take advantage of it na. Kaya lang naman kami naconvince magpa CAS kasi if ever makita na may kidney or heart problem si baby, makahanap na kagad kami ng speacialist na pedia para pagkapanganak ko, matreat na sya kagad. I'm sure naging okay baby namin through prayers lang talaga sis.

Hi sis stylus, the first pregnancy screening is around 8k. The Panorama screening its around 25k then 85% accurate ang tests. Its quite expensive talaga. Sabi ng sis in law ko sa US these pre-natal screening tests are usually covered by medical health insurance so uso daw doon ang mga test na ganito. Agree ako si God lang talaga ang nakakaalam...and a baby is God's gift and i will love my baby no matter what happens 🙂

Aww. Wait ka na lang sis until your 18th-24th week for CAS. Mas exciting yun kasi malaki na si baby. Susukatin body parts nya at the same time they'll check din for possible anomalies.

I just had my CAS yesterday and my baby girl is well behaved  tulog lang sha the whole time hahaha. kaso lang hindi makita yung ibang parts so the assistant asked me to lie on my side tapos niyugyog ako ng bonggang bongga.. haha para daw mag change position si baby.. Thank God everything looks good naman daw. Wait pa ko sa Tuesday check up so my OB can explain to me everything. Hopefully talaga everything is normal and healthy ang baby girl ko
