Is it OK to leave your Pets alone for 8-9 hours a day?

hi everyone, ask ko lang po kung ano ba mga pwede ko gawin kasi i have 3 month old and 11month old shihtzu ngayon sa bahay.

before kasi sa relatives ko ako nakatira with my 10 pet dogs. ngayon bumukod na ko dinala ko yung 2 pets ko lang kasi bawal madami sa apartment.

ang problema me and my partner are both day shift sa work meaning 8-5 lagi. today is the first day na naiwan sila ng silang dalawa lang talaga. nakakawala naman sila sa apartment with water and open yun mga bintana at electric fan. ang plan ko feeding time nila is 6am -6pm- 10pm.

ok lang ba na iwan silang ng ganun lang? any tips po sa mga pwede ko gawin. thank you!

Ok lang naman yan as long as they are fed and safe.

Yung safety, nakaayos ba yung apartment niyo such that they won't play with things that can harm them? How about the temperature? Enough yung open windows and fan?

Di naman sila makakatalon sa windows? And sure they won't get hurt if matamaan ang fan or something like that?

What we do is limit them in one area andun mga kailangan nila pati toys. Wala masyado gamit that may harm them at yung cooler hindi accessible sa kanila.

You can also get gadgets and app alam ko meron yung pwede mo sila makita while you're at work

yes. i have 6 dogs sa house, 2 1yr old, isanh 8month na poodle and 3 2months old na mga aspin. i leave them more than 8hrs a day pa basta pakainin Sila bgo umalis and may water na nakaiwan

is it safe ba to leave them with fan? hindi ba nag ooverheat ang fan? Magiging problem ko din to soon kaya pasali po sa usapan.

Nakasurvive sila sa first day na walang bantay. Iniwanan kong naka on yung efan and may water na available. ayun lang pag uwi namin ang daming wiwi and poop everywhere. hindi sila potty trained kaya ayun talaga problema ko. tho iniwan ko namang bukas yung cr.

hindi na ko nag iiwan ng food kasi tinatapon lang nila and before kame umalis pinapakain naman namin sila.

yun nga rin medyo worry ko yung efan na nakasaksak baka mag overheat pero baka kasi mainitan naman sila kahit naka open yung windows. (hindi po nila kayang talunin windows kasi bare na bare pa yung apartment wala pa sila masasampahan hehe)

nung isa pa lang ang pet namin na shih tzu, iniiwan namin sa loob ng bahay. di sya nakakulong. may water lang sya and yung basahan nya kung saan sya nagwi-wiwi.

Sa umaga 5:30, 1st thing I do is to feed him, then kami ni hubby ang kakain. after nun, ilalabas ko na sya para pupu sa garahe. So the whole day, wiwi lang sya sa rug sa loob ng house. then pagdating ko. after i rest, i feed him again, around 8:30pm na to. then konting play. tapos ilalabas ko ulit sya to pupu. after nun play ulit then wind down na kami to sleep.

remembder, alone pa yung dog ko nyan. kawawa nga. eventually, dumami na dogs namin. we have 4dogs na. so lahat sila sa garahe when we are not around. pag dating ko, super tired na sila kakalaro.

Same with sis j.adore.. Limit them to one area lang na mejo spacious naman para maka 'roam around' pa din sila. And para contained na din yung area where they can make wiwi & poop.

I think this will help with potty training din. In the enclosed area baka pwede maglagay ng newspaper in a specific area para ma-associate nila yun na dun sila mag wiwi & poop.

I think kase by letting them roam around freely, baka sumabit sila sa saksakan nung electric fan malaglag tapos mag short circuit/spark, delikado pa -- parang ang exag ng thoughts ko haha pero I guess better to be safe than sorry.

i think its okay pero limited dapat yung gagalwan at wala siyang mako-consume na makasasama sa kanya. accessible din sa kanya yung tubig niya. best or dapat yata ay pagurin na siya bago ninyo iwan para most of the time na wala siyang kasama ay matutulog lang siya.

Board them sa pet center or find people to look after them.

we have a long hair chihuahua. he is our fur kid baby! we fed him twice a day. morning before going to office
and night time after we have our long walk. We keep clean water near the toilet because he is potty trained.
we also have a baby camera so i can monitor him whenever i want when i am out working.

It's okay so long as they have food, water and electric fan.  When I come home I make sure I walk them for at least 15 mins.

My family has pets pero I opted not to have one in my new home kc parang kids din sila.  Kailangan pet proof ang house mo baka mapano pag ini wan for work   Kawawa fur babies.

This was also my dilemma before with my golden retriever. Pinagawan ko na lang siya ng customized indoor potty kung saan siya nagwiwiwi at minsan poop ('pag hindi na mapigil). Then I make it a point to walk him twice a day, morning and evening for poop and exercise.

I give him toys din, dalawang nylabone + 'yung rubber Kong na pwedeng lagyan ng treats sa loob.

Pwede naman, as long as may food, water and well ventilated yung place nila.

as long as they're not curious with the efan, and they have enough water and food. 8-9hours, mas okay na u feed them first bago ka alis, tapos wait ka na maka poop sila. they wont starve just for 8hours alone naman. but water make sure meron sila enough.

mga dogs namin, once a day makakapasok sila sa house, pero may kennels sila sa labas.
