hi everyone, i'm currently dating this guy and he claims he is legally separated, as in null and void na "daw" ang first marriage nya but sa church e hindi pa rin tapos ang papers.

is this possible na legal sa document (NSO ba) ang separation but not in church?

short story, he wants to date exclusively but inamin nya he was married but null and void na legally but not sa church, i like him and he "promised" any wedding that i want pero hindi pa nya kaya ibigay un church. medyo nabilisan nga ako sa pino propose nya hehe

sana may makasagot ng question ko before i get too involve with this guy...

Legal separation and annulment are 2 different things. Linawin mo which one. Pag annulled na sya, you can get married. Di nga lang sa church, sa ibang lugar nalang.

Kung legally separated lang sya, ang pagkakaalam ko he cannot get married again unless his ex spouse pass away.

Based sa kwento mo sa tingin ko he is saying that his marriage is annulled already, but he cannot marry you in church, so I presume that he is a catholic. Since if you are a catholic you also need to secure a church annulment para makapakasal ka sa catholic church. I don't know if other religions  require this ang alam ko lang kasi na meron nito catholic.  From what I know church annulment is also costly and a tedious process. If it is true na  annulled na nga sya he can get married legally. Pwede kayong civil marriage o ibang religious rites if member kayo nang religious sect nila. 

You have to make sure na annulled na nga sya kasi kung legally separated lang he cannot remarry.

You may ask him to get a copy of his cenomar. Nakaindicate naman dun na annulled na ang previous marriage kung talagang naiprocess eh.

pinakita nya na saken marriage certificate nya, may nakalagay nga sa gilid na null and void na un marriage certificate nila ni ex wife... pero sa church on going pa nga din.. is this enough proof? or may dapat pa ko hanapin?
