Need help sisters. Im confuse how to purchase JR pass. We will land sa Tokyo Narita stay there for 5 nights. Then travel to Osaka 3 nights  and Kyoto 3 nights. Im planning to purchase Limousine bus for Airport transfer Narita to Tokyo downtown. How about the JR pass anong pass and kelangan ko ipurchase?

^ sis, you can purchase the Airport Limousine Bus ticket from the counter upon your arrival in Narita. No need to get it in advance.

As for the JR pass, are you referring to the Nationwide Japan Rail Pass? You can buy from their website. I suggest you plot your itinerary first before you buy so you will know if the pass will pay off or not. Will you be riding the Shinkansen to Osaka and Kyoto and return to Tokyo after? If this will be your route, the pass will pay off. Otherwise, it will be better to just buy the reloadable IC cards like Suica or Icoca and maybe some area passes, not the nationwide pass. Compute mo sis yung fares using Hyperdia.

Day 1 (Monday) - Morning flight to tokyo; One piece theme park, Sensoji temple, Shibuya
Day 2 (Tuesday) - Disneyland; Shopping (?)
Day 3 (Wednesday) - Shopping; afternoon flight to Osaka; Dotonbori
Day 4 (Thursday) - USJ; Dotonbori
Day 5 (Friday) - Kuromon Ichiba market; Osaka castle/park/aquarium; Shopping; 9pm flight to Manila

Agree with @ataypool, go to Tokyo na lang agad. If may overnight bus na swak sa sched niyo pag-arrive, I'd recommend that---for adults, not sure if with kid, hehe.

Sayang oras pag plane pa kasi pa-Tokyo, you have to check-in early.

But sa totoo lang super bitin 5 days if i-divide mo pa siya between Tokyo and Osaka. Plus baka di pa ma-enjoy Disneyland, super daming tao. If mainit (July kami nagpunta kasi kaya sure na mainit), DOBLE problema pa aside from the lines. So honestly, consider mo rin just exploring Osaka and nearby areas. I think marami din naman magagawa in Osaka.

If your route will be Tokyo-Osaka-Kyoto -Tokyo, I believe the nationwide JR pass will pay off. Some kasi don't recommend getting the pass if Tokyo-Osaka-Kyoto-Osaka ka lang (flying in to Tokyo and departing from Kansai)... better if you compute your fares via Hyperdia.

avitot - noted sis, thank you. so hindi pala pare pareho pricing ng items sa donki. may hinahanap kasi akong rice cracker eh, yung yuki no yado, nakabili ko dati sa semaru in hk. sabi ng kateam ko mas mura yun sa japan. wala syang english name pero ang palatandaan ko lang sa kanya is yung parang white cartoon character na hindi ko malaman kung snowman ba sya, icing o ano. haha sorry kung hindi ko madescribe mabuti.

ataypool - ah high end brands pala yung nasa rinku town? naku wag na nga hehe. wala naman ako balak mamili ng ganun, tama ka adidas at nike lang sana ang balak ko. alisin ko tokyo from our iti nalang dahil yung bro ko hindi naman pala sure kung yung one piece tower nga yung nakita nya before sa facebook. one piece fanatic kasi sya. also, ako kasi mag finance for our trip so nag compute din ako, around 28k ang plane ticket namin KIX-NRT-KIX and 40k naman kung KIX-HND-KIX. wow medyo mabigat sya diba, compared kung mag hintay nalang ako uli ng promo haha. makakapag hintay pa naman ako for tokyo at mas masusulit kung longer yung stay namin. salamat sis!

minnie99 - thanks sis. sinuggest din sa akin ng friend ko yung sleeper bus kaso yun nga, nag worry ako for my 2-year old. baka matyempuhan na topakin sya, makaistorbo pa kami sa iba haha and baka di rin sya comfy sa bus. hanap nalang ako ng iba pang magagawa sa osaka. gusto ko chill lang din yung trip namin. sana hindi pa sobrang init ng june 2-7 para masarap maglakad lakad.

I love going to supermarkets and groceries. Anong masuggest nyo mga sis na maganda iuwi ng pinas?

Yung sa day 2, magkakalapit lang ba sila? Kasi nabasa ko na pwede mag ferry sa bay area papunta ng osaka aquarium kaiyukan and malapit na rin daw dun ang legoland.

Matao ba sa USJ ng Monday? Nabasa ko kasi sa pex na tuesday, wednesday at thursday maganda pumunta ng theme parks.

^Kung di kaya ng katawan, you can put some of the places on Day 2 to Day 4. Shinsaibashi/Dotonbori is a big area for shopping. It?s just me but my body was so tired from walking that area. Mas maganda sa gabi. Otherwise, Day 4 kung makakadaan kayo sa Kyoto (Nara sana pero baka makagat ng wild deers ang anak mo) or Kobe Harbourland. Re rice snacks, madami masarap sa Family Mart and 7-11 na own brands nila. ^Thank you so much, sis. Well noted. Bet ko yung Kobe Harborland, kilala kasi ng anak ko si anpanman. Sakto may museum pala doon. Itatanong ko palang sana kung nakakatakot ba yung mga deers haha. Next time nalang kami pala mag Nara, baka nga makagat pa junakis ko. Lagot ako sa daddy nito pag nagkataon.  Na-excite ako sa breads! Lahat kami kasi mahilig sa tinapay. Gusto ko ma-try yung japanese cheesecake saka yung pancake souffle.

Mga sis na naka try na ng kansai thru pass, sulit ba? Pwede ba namin magamit ito from KIX to Namba? Medyo nakukulangan ako sa fine print ni klook, may comment lang na nagamit daw nya sa train from airport to Namba station.

Hanggang ngayon nalilito pa rin ako sa mga trains, passes, etc. Kaya maganda siguro yung mga nasa itinerary namin is yung walang transfers. For now ang naiisip ko palang kunin is yung nankai line airport express (kung hindi sya kasama sa kansai thru pass) saka icoca.

For our itinerary, nasulit namin yung 7 Day JR Pass. We arrived at Tokyo, took the Hikari shinkansen to Kyoto, then to Osaka/Namba, then back to Tokyo. We were able to use it within the cities too. Lalo na sa Tokyo because our hotel was near a JR Yamanote line. What I also liked about it is hindi na kami nag-spend ng time to figure out how to buy train tickets--we just show our JR Pass then nakakalabas-pasok na kami. I definitely recommend it especially if you are traveling to different areas.

Re the deers-yes, there are some very aggressive ones. As in, puro kagat yung coat ko kasi they wanted more treats. Yung mga anak ko, 8 and 10, ok naman sila kasi paisa-isa lang hawak nila na cookies. It was me and my husband who held the bunch kaya alam nung mga deer na kami ang pupuntahan.

there are a lot of convenience stores in Japan - 7-11, lawsons, family mart where you can buy distilled water from. There are also small grocery stores where you can buy supplies. Bigger don Quixote also has a grocery section.

^Thank you so much sis! When I googled kasi sabi mahirap makahanap ng distilled water in Japan. Nagtanong tanong din ako sa mga kakilala but they're telling me "mineral" and "purified" water daw ang laging meron sa mga konbinis kaya dito ako nag baka sakali. Salamat sis!
