Booked our flight to Tokyo pero I had to move the date so as not to coincide with golden week as per sis kachich. Ok na rin the price from CebPac. Hirap lang initially to look for accommodation since 3 kami and the rooms I saw were on the smaller side, very few can accommodate us and its a bit pricey, its beyond the budget already. Would like to stay around Ueno sana but we found accommodation near Tsukiji station in a new built hotel so ok naman na.

We just got back from our trip. Yung last 4 nights namin lumipat na kami sa Ueno area (to shop and para malapit sa Akihabara). We stayed at Hotel Parkside Ueno. About a 5 min-walk from Okachimachi Station. Probably 6-7 mins from Ueno Station pero in front of Ueno Park. Ok naman siya and cheap especially 4 kami (2 kids, me and my husband). I think we paid around $150 a night (taxes included). Medyo dated na ang interior and basic lang ang features but we only stayed there to sleep naman.

I was looking near Ueno initially and the rooms as well as the beds are all small. Our kid can longer share a bed with us, kasi sa booking sites in Asia, 12+ above is already considered an adult, but by western standard adult is 18+.  Cheapest we saw at Ueno is around $180+ with just 2 singles ang liit ng room but central ang location. Hirap to book a room with 2 queen bed, if meron, starts at $300+ like Marriott.

Oh, di nga ubra. My kids are 7 and 9 so ok lang sila mag-share. We stayed at Tokyo Cerulean Shibuya and even with the price tag, maliit pa din yung bed. So I definitely echo your frustration in booking a room with queen beds.

Hi sisses. Was able to book MNL-KIX-MNL for 4 pax for less than 24k. Ask ko lang kung ano pang maganda puntahan sa osaka na mag eenjoy ang 2-year old aside from USJ and osaka aquarium?

Our travel dates will be June 2-7. Sobrang init na kaya nun?

Since hindi naman ako mahilig sa temples, keri kaya kung mag tokyo kami?

^Osaka Castle's park has a playground. Puwede rin Kids Plaza, Legoland, etc. Or you can just catch a train to Kobe to go to Harborland and a mini-zoo if your itinerary is focused on your two year old. Puwede rin maka-Tokyo pa but travelling with a 2 year old no matter how good the public transport is exhausting, and not all train stations have a escalator or elevator. and yes, sobrang init na ang June.

^thanks sis! Oo nga, mas nakakapagod mag ikot kaoag mainit. Yung one piece theme park, disneyland and shopping lang sadya namin sana sa tokyo.

Anyone who can suggest cheap transpo from haneda airport? Dami ko pa actually kailangan iresearch. Kagabi ko lang nalaman na may haneda airport pala and it's in tokyo so baka iconsider namin ito lalo kung makakamura.

^saan ba hotel mo? You can take the bus, train (through Keio line) or monorail then transfer ka to get to the train line at Hamamatsucho. Puro Haneda airport ako for my last trips, and it actually depends where the hotel is to know the cheapest option.

^Asakusa's okay kasi maraming train lines ang dumadaan and may direct connection siya to both Haneda and Narita. But you have to be very alert and ask questions to locals because the platform indicators are hard to read at first. Kung sa Haneda ka, puwede ka sa Keio line it goes to direct to Asakusa, maski matagal ang biyahe.

But for me, you have to spend a lot of your budget to convenience from/to airport transport. I'lll just take a limo bus which will drop off to a hotel and you just have to walk from there. At least bawas na ang hassle mo with navigating the station lifts na maski major stations, isa lang meron. Just go to Klook, meron doon deals ang airport limo bus. You can also consider the baggage delivery service to your airbnb (takyubin), meron din sa Klook.

You also have to keep in mind the check-in time of Airbnb's in Tokyo. A lot of them has late check-in times, like 4 or 5PM.

^^Thanks so much sis. I'm still doing my research. Torn if I'll go the cheaper or the fastest (and comfortable) way. I'll be paying most of the expenses kasi kaya kailangan maghigpit ng sinturon haha. I'm also considering shibuya and shinjuku for accommodation since I really want to go to mega donki, nacurious ako dito eh. For tokyo, ang habol lang namin ay one piece tower (na more like a museum), disneyland, shopping and konting food trip. Any outlet stores you can reco?

I know mabibitin talaga kami sa Tokyo, pero Osaka kasi point of entry namin. Bawi nalang next time hehe.

Kung mag haneda kami, the plane ticket (osaka-tokyo-osaka) will be around 8k, pag narita nasa 5.5k. Kung mag narita kami, abutin ba ng 2.5k ang fare from airport to asakusa/shibuya/shinjuku?

Kung makahanap ng murang hotel malapit sa kansai airport, at may murang ticket, iniisip ko rin na mag tokyo na agad. Kung sakali, ito naman iti namin:

The only difference I see why madami na hype sa mega donki compared to other is malaki siya at madami mabili pero prices are mas mahal and yung styles ng mga items (like clothing,pambeauty, etc) konti. I find other donki cheaper at mas madaming magandang options sa style or variants  ng mga items personally I like the shinjuku one doon ako mas madami nabili

^^ If you can get a flight to Itami airport instead of Kansai, mas okay kasi mas malapit by 30 minutes pero kung ang accommodation is more expensive kasi Itami is closer to Osaka, sa Kansai ka na lang. I will still take the bus though from either airports to Namba OCAT. Re outlets, meron near Kansai and Narita. Di ko masyado gusto ang sa Kansai kasi very ordinary ang items nila compared to Narita na mas madami high end. But I don't really think you should go to an outlet tapos Nike, Adidas lang mabibili kasi meron naman ABC Mart everywhere.

Personally, I'll rather go with that second itinerary, like Tokyo, get it over and done with. 

^ Re Donki, yes it's true. I went to the Mega Donki in Shibuya, it was overwhelming but more expensive most of the items. There are cheaper items from that large pharmacy store Matsumoto Kiyoshi. Special item lang na nabili ko sa Donki is that Ichiran Ramen instant pack. 7-11, Family Mart, etc. meron na silang tax-free services for some shops so puwede na din bumili doon.
