thank you so much mga sis! dito kasi ako na ooverwhelm sa trains ng tokyo. kakalito. i saw on one blog na there's a 3 day unlimited tokyo metro pass which is 1500 yen. ang mura hehe, totoo ba yun? haha. kasi sa tokyo 3 area lang talaga gusto ko dyan kaya parang nahihinayang ako sa JR Pass. kung mga temples naman eh sa osaka/kyoto ko na lang yun gagawin.  salamat ulit mga sis for your help.

ay last na pala yung universal studios ba kahit weekday super daming tao? and pagpunta ng mt fuji, ok naman yung mga 1 day bus tour? would it literally take a whole chunk of your day? tapos balik na ulit sa tokyo yung bus? TIA!

^weekday kami and madami pa rin tao. Yun mt.fuji tour yes 1 day kasi after lunch yung sa lake naman. Bullet train na yun sasakyan pauwi hindi na bus.

^re Mt Fuji, if you go via Hakone one day puwede pero madalian and mas mahaba biyahe. If Kawaguchiko, I was able to do it for half day kasi doon lang ako sa malapit sa public transport station pumunta (bigla nagpakita si Mt Fuji for 2 minutes habang breakfast kami sa cafe sa train station) and it takes 2 hours to go there by bus. Puwede din sa Gotemba outlet ka lang by bus kasi makikita din naman si Mt Fuji kung suwerte magpakita.

Re Tokyo trains, IC cards like Suica or Pasmo for the convenience but the day passes are value for money.

Hi mga sis. May naka try ba ng one day tour from tokyo to fuji shibazakura festival? What bus company did you take and how much? TIA!

^We're going on the 29th, sa willerexpress me nagbook. D ko lang alam if ok itong tour company, hopeless lang ako makarating dun kasi hehe fully booked na kasi sa date na nandun kami sa tokyo.

^we would also go to the Fuji shibazakura festival. Hindi ba pwede yung via Fujigoko Enjoy Ticket para makapunta dun sa Shibazakura festival? Hanggag Lake Kawaguchiko lang kasi yung bus na included ditto pero kasama ata yung mga buses within the Fuji five lakes.

Hi mga sis did a little research hehe, hangang may 28 lang ang festival. Yes sis sweet puno na halos mga 1 day bus tour for the festival. Pero sabi you can take a bus or train  going to kawaguchiko station then take the shibazakura bus to go to the festival.

^oo nga nagresearch din ako kahapon. ☺ From Lake Kawaguchiko merong Shibzakura Shuttle bus for 2000 yen, included na ang entrance sa festival

One may opt to go via bus to Kawaguchiko (from Shibuya or Shinjuku) for 3600 yen roundtrip then ride the bus to Shibazakura for 2000 yen. Or if you want to roam Lake Kawaguchiko pa then the Fujigoko Enjoy ticket is sulit na kasi included na yung retro buses going around the lake. Still have to research if included na rin yung ropeway ride.

nung nag USJ kami, we did not get the express pass din; papalo din kasi ng 5-7K PHP. We came early lang, tipong before the gates open, nakapila na kami. So first thing we covered eh yung Harry Potter, Wala pang timed tickets; we were able to enter agad pero sa rides, may pila na. 45min - 1 hour na yung pila. After 3-4 hours, lumabas na kami and nun pa lang kami kumuha ulit ng timed tickets para makabalik sa hapon. The other rides average of 1 hour ang waiting time. Pero there's this ride na 3 hours ipinila ng mga kapatid ko! Sulit naman kasi they love extreme roller coasters. While waiting for them nag-ikot lang ako.

Subscribing again here for preparation ng JP trip this December. Our plan is Osaka-Kyoto-Shirakawago-Nagoya-Tokyo-Sapporo-Tokyo. We will be purchasing the 14 day jr pass. My question mga sis medyo hindi ko nagets yung reserved seating. Tokyo-Sapporo I read sa japan guide required daw yung reserved seating. Tapos when I checked Hyperdia may extra babayaran sa reserved seating? I'm not sure I understood it correctly.

^yep sis. May additional charge pang reserved seating. But for your case I dont know lang how to use JR Pass for reserved seating. Kami kasi bumili lang ng 1 way ticket.

^Hi! Walang fee yung reserved seats sa JR Pass. Untick NOZOMI / MIZUHO / HAYABUSA (SHINKANSEN), Private Railways, Airplane and Airport Shuttle Bus in Hyperdia. Once you exchanged your JR pass in Japan, you can reserve the seats for the whole duration of your trip. Although I haven't tried yung route ng Tokyo - Sapporo, parang masyadong malayo? Suggestion, stop over on any JR station and spend a night in the area.

^ thanks sis kachich.  19 days actually kami Starting from Osaka up to Sapporo then flight pauwi is Tokyo.

Day 1-3 - Kyoto
Day 4 - Hiroshima and Miyajima Island
Day 5 - Nara-Osaka
Day 6 - Himeji Castle and Kobe
Day 7-10 - Osaka
Day 11- Kanazawa - Shirakawago
Day 12 - Takayama- Nagoya
Day 13-15 - Sapporo
Day 16-18 - Tokyo
Day 19 - Flight back home

I plan to activate JR pass on day 4. My JR pass is the 14 days. Will the Jr Pass expire on Day 18 or Day 19? Also, if nagpareserve na ako for the duration of our trip and I miss the time, can I just book again for reservation same day, meaning for the next train?

Day 4 - Day 1 JR -- counts as first day, Day 17 will be your last day.

Yup, dami namin namiss nun ulit. Usually nagpapareserve lang kami pag sobrang haba ng byahe, yung mga 2.5++ hours siguro sa train. Pero my non-reserved seats din naman, this we used na or our last part of our trip-we check what time is the next train, pag malapit na derecho na sa non reserved seats, pag may oras pa to reserve, edi reserve ng seats.

2 weeks pa lang kababalik from Japan I miss it already. My sister and I liked Osaka and Kobe more than Tokyo. Cheaper taxis, food, 7-11, less crowded and friendlier people.

Hello, balik ako ngayon sa gt because of this japan trip. We will be travelling may 29. 6d5n lang plan is tokyo and nagoya lang since may friend si hubby na e visit sa nagoya and dun na din departure namin. But he change his mind he wants to include kyoto na din.
Mga sis ask ko lang especially those na nakapag travel with baby/kids was it easy lang ba to roam around city with a tot in tow?
I just ask kasi first time namin na mag travel with our 14mos and di sya masyado sanay sa commute.

Not sure in tokyo. Pero in osaka ok naman. Sa train stations lang a little hassle kasi the lifts are alittle far so konting lakad pa if you plan to carry a stroller with you. We never had any problems with my daughter we travelled to japan twice and she super loved it. Sa restos naman once the see na you have a baby with you they will give u a bowl, spoon and fork for your lil one.
