^I agree check jetstar. mura flights nila to Hokkaido. Pag pabalik ka stay ka muna sa tokyo ng ilang days. may times kasi nadedelay flight dahil sa snow kaya much better manila tokyo tapos hokkaido agad pag balik tsaka nalang explore ng tokyo

^I agree! Stay in Tokyo before coming back to Manila. Ginawa ng parents ko last year, from Hokkaido diretso Manila. Flight was delayed for few hours because of heavy snow fall, muntik na silang maiwan ng plane to Manila. As in pasara na boarding gate,   inescort sila ng airport employees para makahabol sa flight. LOL

Mas maganda kung ilist mo muna yung gusto niyo puntahan na approve sa adult, kids and senior na kasama niyo. Ang itinerary mo kasi depende kung anong season din kayo pupunta ng Japan and kung san niyo plan magstay sa Tokyo.

Once pa lang kami nakapunta ng Tokyo and since first time namin, yung malalapit lang sa hotel ang pinuntahan namin. Yung Tokyo DisneySea lang ang malayo which is almost 2hrs ang biyahe from hotel. Tinapat ko din na hindi weekends para hindi matao.

And sa Japan, be ready na maglakad ka talaga kasi yung pagpunta pa lang sa train o pagtransfer ng train, marami ng lakaran.

Go to Odaiba. When you travel with kids, shopping does not become a priority even you want to. Nakabili na lang nga ako sa airport, airside 10 minutes before boarding.

Disney - Buses are more convenient but expect delays due to traffic pero buti na nakaupo na kayo. Trains are very complex and average 10 minute walk just transferring from one line to another. Search mo na lang; even better if you go to a hotel that's affiliated with Disney and you get free or discounted transfers. Book in advance. If you arrive early in Tokyo, Narita and Haneda have buses to Disney. My sister and I are planning it on our April trip just to get it over and done with para sa mga pamangkin.

Accommodation - for large groups as much as possible ayaw ko nang sama-sama in one house or unit. Na-stress lang ako last year. The accommodation (via Roomorama) we got was big for a Japanese house; 3 bedrooms, a living room and kitchen, two toilets but one Japanese-style bath/shower. After a long day the last thing I wanted was screaming kids and cranky seniors. If you can, magbukod bukod na lang kayo ng kuwarto in a hotel. Mas maganda if close to major public transport hubs like Shibuya, Shinjuku and Tokyo. Shimbashi is okay too, more affordable pero it's in the south of Tokyo and kung airport mo is Haneda okay naman but the buses konti lang dumadaan.

Food - Kids are picky, McDonalds lang tuwang-tuwa na. Kombini's like 7-11, Familymart and Lawsons are good options too. Simple lang naman taste ng bata and sa totoo lang, maski gusto ko kumain ng sashimi and sushi all the time pero nakakawala ng gana pag kasama mo hindi adventurous sa pagkain.   

Itinerary - Don't travel together all the time. Last year there were 11 of us (kids 1 and 7) in Tokyo pero we decided to go our separate ways on some days kasi hindi naman lahat pare-pareho taste. Meron ka rin isang kasama na kakainisan mo kasi bossy and palaangal, so magtimpi ka na lang or maghiwalay kayo ng lakad.  I don't want to suggest an itinerary kasi Disney and Odaiba puwede na for kids, the rest ikot lang ng ikot sa malls puwede na.

Transport - I don't want to recommend passes which most of the time isang rail network lang puwede. Pasmo or Suica for convenience and the difference in pricing between them and the passes are not much. Tokyo Metro pass lagi ako when I travel by myself or with my siblings and pamangkin na teenagers kasi okay lang sa amin to walk long distances and we prefer the subways than JR trains pero nang grupo na kami with the seniors and cousins who hate to walk, we opted for convenience kaya we purchased Pasmo cards. Mostly cash transaction in Japan, spare coins you can load them into the cards. Avoid peak hours at morning and night. Wala paki ang Japanese maski may kasama kang bata. They hate kids in Tokyo. hehe!

^go to Hyperdia.com. Those two Keisei's are different and na-search ko destinations mo 200 yen lang naman difference between them.

Yes, considering that route too! MNL > CTS > NRT/HND then stay in Tokyo for a few days before we fly back NRT > MNL! Sana may makuha akong magandang airline deal. MEdyo too early pa yata sa Jetstar as there are no flights available pa for December travel.

They are different lines, but both will stop at Nippori.
Sa Narita airport, they have different turnstiles. Sky Access shares tracks with Skyliner, and same sila ng platform. Yung Main line iba yung entrance. Ask na lang the station attendant when you buy yung ticket kung san ka dapat mag-enter.

We are planning to visit Tokyo, Japan on Dec 2017, 2 adults and 2 kids for 5-days.  Ang gusto lang namin mapuntahan ay Disneyland and Gala Resort, tapos tour around Tokyo at base sa mga blogs ay may mga illuminations lights during Christmas season

Any suggestions po sa cheap hotel near Shibuya station and Tokyo, station?

We have tried wifi rental from Global Advanced Communications during our trip last autumn and satisfied naman kami sa service. We got the premium wifi package with unlimited data. Reliable speed and connection, no problem at all even in subways. We had the unit delivered to our hotel in Tokyo, used it in Tokyo to Osaka and left the unit (placed inside the return envelope na kasama) at the concierge of our hotel in Osaka during check-out. Sila na nagmail back to GAC.

I have also read about flytpack. Na-try nyo na @mrs. sweet sa Japan? Reliable ba ang speed and connection nya?

Hi. Just got back from Hokkaido. Re Mercure Hotel, the hotel is nice, may timed free shuttles to and fro sa Sapporo station. Room is kinda small, a standard in Japan. Ayoko lang yung pillows, 2 small pillows lang per bed, 1 super lambot and 1 matigas naman. The location is perfect, maraming restos sa tabi tabi.

Re flytpack, tried it 2x already. First was in Korea last Oct. and 2nd time here in our Hokkaido trip. The speed is very good, anywhere ok speed kasi based naman sya sa network sa Japan. I didn't try downloading though, pang fb postings and viber lang naman kaya need ko data on the road.
