I've been to Japan pero sadly, walang kwenta yung tour na sinalihan namin. ang mahal mahal pa.

Did you get your JR pass online or from a travel agency here in the Philippines?

JR pass online, paid in USD through credit card. After two days, andito na sya. May freebies pang kasama, maps, guide book etc.. Courier is Fedex, may tracking number. Mattrack mo from Paris to door steps. And may estimated sila ng day and time ng pag dating, kaya most probably, if wala ka sa bahay, pwede mong ibilin exact time of arrival.

Sa agency kasi, pag nag apply ka, mag add pa sila ng tax and you have to claim it pa after several days. I assume kasi ganun din ang ginagawa nila, order din sila online using your details.

Price: same (may freebie pa dun sa online ordering, plus convenient kasi dedeliver na nila at your doorsteps)

If JR pass talaga ang gusto mo, get the JR Kansai pass. 🤗🤗

We plan to do 2-day Osaka tour, 2-day Kyoto, 1-day Nara, 1-day Kobe. Ano ba ang best option ko when it comes to transpo if we are touring these areas na DIY?

7 kami, with 2 kids. Do kids (ages 11 and 3) pay full fare?

we're planning to go to Japan in december and we want to go skiing. anong place ba dapat kami and around what dates?

We initially thought of spending Xmas and new year there, pero medyo di ko sure if we ever feel the season of Holidays don hehe. do they also celebrate such holidays?

Also,DIY lang kami ni hubby. how much budget kaya kelangan for a 7-10 days trip?

I have a Japan booked trip from last week of October to first week of November. Dapat kasama BF's family kaso break na kami, so I can do this solo travel na lang. It costs 17k, ayoko masayang eh.

Do I still need a Japan visa? And paano ako makakatipid kung solo lang ako? TIA.

sis m_lim and avitot, we spent Christmas last December in Tokyo. For me okay lang there are no celebrations unlike what we do here sa pinas. Bihira rin ako makakita ng Christmas tree or hear Christmas Carols. What we did is we just bought food then we celebrated Christmas Eve sa airbnb apartment then tulog na. Masaya talaga pasko sa atin. Next day Christmas Day we just went around Shibuya and Akihabara.

If you have the patience to line up for days and hours, you can go to the year-end sale fukubukuro, random items in a bag you can buy at a big discount. Maganda pilahan ang Apple store, if you're lucky you'll get a Macbook for less than $500.

Hi sis kookai88, we got ours at Czarina. Sana hindi na hassle ngayon na pupunta pa sa main branch nila. 🤗 Denominations nila, halos puro 10k yen or 1 lapad. 🤗

Hi sis kookai88, before kasi you'll just call to reserve and ask them na bring the money sa nearest branch nila. Pickup and then ok na.

Ive been one of their consistent clients since super tagal na. Haha. Almost all currencies, meron silang available lagi. Kaya super ok for me.

Kaso, etong last na alis namin for Japan, may bulletin daw na hindi na pwede basta pickup yung mga foreign currencies, call them tapos reserve and pickup na lang sa main branch nila sa Makati.

Traffic, hirap parking, plus.. Lahat dun na nagpupunta so can you just imagine the volume of tao doing same as yours?

Yung mga branches nila, buying of foreign currencies na lang. Sabi nila, babalik din daw sa dati, so I hope, in our next alis, available na magpickup sa branches. Ayaw ko na pumunta sa Makati. Haha.

Ok lang ba itinerary ko? As much as possible kasi gusto ko ma-cover lahat and sanay naman ako sa lakaran and okay lang sakin siksik yung itinerary.
