been using Nars din, ok na ok talaga siya but want to try Tarte Shape tape na grabe din ang rave ng mga beauty gurus.

I wanted to try Tarte Shape tape, I often see it being recommended by makeup reviewers in YT. I'm curious with the Maybelline FitMe concealer rave in this thread, how is it in our very humid weather?

I'm afraid of  concealers since it cakes on me as I have very oily skin (not that I've tried a lot, the Boi-ing from Benefit works for me fine )

mimiku yes if kaya mo naman, it really covers the dark circles, even better than mac.  I'm looking for something cheaper kasi i need to use the concealer just to cover the pepper spots from hair na hindi properly shaved, ano kaya maganda?

Been using Mac MIneralized concealer for how many months now to cover dark circles under my eyes. It's not full coverage and still settles sa lines but it's easy to blend para mag mukhang natural finish.

Im eyeing the new Benefit brightening concealer to be released this July. I swatched some under the eyes yesterday and medyo nagustuhan ko yung fresh effect niya sa akin. Or maybe maganda lang ilaw ng store nila. Hahaha.

^ hey!   Wow Thanks. I actually see two recommendations there from me... hihi. Also, those are backed up by raves from the YT community. Tried and tested ko yun, I recommend Nars more for lighter, "more natural looking coverage" or highlighting (na matte), for heavier duty coverage, then I recommend MAC. Be careful of the shades though!

Anyway, I bought a new concealer.. It's a bobbi brown corrector. If you know how to use it, naka.wow talaga! My MAC concealer still allows some shadows through (eye shape and general face contour around my eyes exacerbating the shadows, and just really dark inner eyes), and I tried to use it underneath, and wow. Nawala talaga. hahahaah you know how you smile and may natural bag or darkness ka under the eye? as in nawalaaaaaa talaga, to the point na I thought my eyes got smaller LOL! (certain eye bags or "aegyosal" kinda makes your eyes look bigger)

My complaints are:
 I cant believe it takes one more step. (actually two)
It creases like crazy (if you dont know how to use it, I didnt sa first try)
takes time coz you need to work with thin layers.

Tips for bobbi brown corrector:

Eye moisturizing beforehand. Like really slap on some moisturizer and let it absorb
work in thin layers, dont just dab on a thick layer to cover it up. Really apply thinly...then let it set for a while, then another thin layer... (the darkness doesnt need to disappear, maybe just two layers will do)
let it set
remove any creasing and reapply as necessary, let it set again
then put the mac liquid concealer in thin layers (one or two)
let it set, remove any creasing, then set with powder.

tada instantly smaller eyes LOL! (brighter too)

I've heard amazing things about Estee Lauder Doublewear concealer... any comments on that? For undereye circles? Does it work in humid weather or pang.cold lang?

My dilemma right now is that my skin is acidic. Dati naman hindi, must be because of my skincare. So yung mga concealers ko ngayon nago-oxidize on me.

The other day I tried Clio Kill Cover concealer sa SM beauty section and Im not kidding, after about a minute it began to turn grey. Di tuloy mabenta nung sales staff sakin kesa kitang kita niyang umitim yung concealer sa undereye ko. Parang naglagay ako ng concealer para dumami yung dark circles. 

^I also have Bobbi Brown corrector sis, yung nasa pot. And I agree na effective siya to lessen the dark circles of eyebags. I bought the Intensive Skin Serum Concealer and medyo nadisappoint ako because it settled on my lines. Ang mahal pa naman.  Buti di ko binili yung liquid corrector na tandem sana niya. Double crease yon for sure.

Ano ba talaga ang dapat sa undereye concealers? Peach or Yellow toned? Magkakaiba kasi opinion ng mga sales staff lagi pag tinatanong ko.

^ it really depends sis. I was also struggling since bobbi brown says yellow toned is universal, every where else it says it should be peach.

In my opinion sis, depends what you are trying to conceal, and my go-to, non-fail tip is always to try it under your eyes. Yellow makes me look odd (mainly because I'm not yellow toned) if I don't use foundation. Check which does better concealing, there is no go-to rule for shades on people =_=
People force me to try different shades because it looks pretty on them, but it makes me look dead and they're like "WTF".

Some also like to use peach underneath because it cancels the darkness better (yellow makes some darkness seep through). Then they just put yellow-ish concealer on top to match it to the rest of their facial skin.

I've tried the following:

1. Tarte shape tape -  Perfect shade ko is light neutral (I'm NC20). Okay naman sya but it creases on me even after setting with Laura mercier translucent powder.  The coverage is okay naman but it doesn't cover my dark pimple marks.  I'm fine with that naman coz I haven't found a concealer na kaya I-hide dark pimple marks ko.  I had to let it go lang because hindi ko gusto yung wand, malaki sya especially if you want to use for spot concealing.

2. Laura Mercier camouflage in SC-3-  ang hirap gamitin for under eye because of the texture.  And it's not advisable din.  Lisa Eldridge would suggest to use for blemishes but then again it doesn't work on me. It's really hard to blend.

3. Nars Radiant concealer - It's similar to Tarte shape tape. Good coverage but creases.  Not a fan. Sorry.

4. YSL touch? ?clat -  My fave because it doesn't crease.  Medium coverage sya on me but even if I layer it naman, it doesn't feel heavy.  I use this under the eyes  only for special occasion.  It's pricey kase for daily use. LOL

5. Glossier stretch concealer -  I picked the Medium shade (universal shade). My go-to concealer.  I use this everyday.  Great for daily use because it's moisturizing and not heavy under the eyes.  It has less coverage than tarte but I'm okay with that. 

I'll try next MUFE full coverage And MAC Pro long because of good reviews

^ ohhh opposite tayo sis. Nars doesnt crease on me, but di enough yung coverage. Kaya I set it aside for brightening lang. Natural kase tingnan.

YSL hindi enough coverage no matter how much I layer... either... my undereyes look whiter, or the darkness seeps through. TBH, I dont know if that was a YSL issue, or an issue with the saleslady. This one sales lady kept pushing me for shade 2, but it just looked so off. I kept complaining and the other saleslady said my actual shade is not available (3). hmm.

^sis minatay91, agree with you on the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. Natural and fresh and effect niya for my undereyes. I tried it kahapon sa Glorietta. The makeup artist applied muna the shade Honey para daw to color correct. Then he layered it with Custard. Ni-set niya nung Translucent Powder after. I wore it for about 2 hours until nasa bahay na ko and was impressed na hindi siya nag oxidize. I might buy.

^ go sis! Are you going to buy two shades? IMO for dark circles di ganun ka.effective yung Nars for coverage unless corrected initially or basta minimal lang Try mo daw each one baka pwede na.

^sis, binili ko na yung Custard shade. I'll use my other cool/peach toned concealers na lang pang correct. Sana tuluyan akong maging fresh.

im loving the nars pot concealers for my blemishes. covered them well and long lasting. Yun radiant creamy naarbor sa akin ni officemate lelz. ok lang paubos naman na rin. after that hindi na ako nagpurchase uli kasi mas type ko coverage and lasting power ni kuma kpalette which is still my HG for the price and quality.  I also let go MAC pro longwear kasi nagpimples ako dun. MUFE full cover hmm still on the fence on this kasi nakukulangan ako sa coverage. eyeing on the Glossier stretch concealer for everyday wear.
