Tignan mo ang UK, ang laking impact yung Brexit nila how much more pag sa atin.

This UN EXIT thing is just a rhetoric. Look up the word rhetoric. Parang di na kayo sanay. Anyway, he knows what he's doing. Have faith. It's a strategy. Masyadong reactionary wala pa namang actual. At most, it's just bluster. Pinoys should be more analytical.

Once you're a member of UN, you cannot leave. Indonesia tried to do so and Syria as well. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Withdrawal_from_the_United_Nations

The most that the president can do is to withdraw support from UN, which will be a bad decision too. Madaming implications yan like economic sanctions and such and will later on lead to investor pull out.

^the UN rhetoric may have been done in a bad taste for some but should not be taken seriously. otherwise may mga steps na ba na ginawa ang administrasyon to back his statements regarding pag withdraw? i don't believe this is true. the UN has done so much good but it seems lang kasi na sila din na nasa ibang bansa ay nakarely lang din sa mga may impluwensya (silang may mga pera, koneksyon, edukasyon lang naman ang pwedeng magtip sa UN actually) from the other political camps and sa biased media for news. why won't their investigators mag imbestiga sa ordinaryong citizenry.

on the senate hearings today. lahat ng ito ay  grandstanding lang naman as usual. pustahan wala naman mareresolba kundi happy lang ang media. hindi masosolusyunan ang issue ng alleged EJK. hindi din masosolusyunan ang problema ng police force especially when it comes to their own safety, equipment, sahod and eventually para sa mga sumukong drug pushers, addicts, dealers na either nakakulong or nasa rehab. ang sikip na ng mga kulungan bakit hindi yung mga bagong penitentiary ang pagusapan. hindi ba dapat silang mga buhay ang pagtuunan ng pansin hindi yung mga patay na. why are we so obssessed about the past and the long dead?

it's so sad and sickening at the same time why the killings are the main focus of some of these stupid senators. why is it such a big deal na may mga "ilan" lang namang namamatay (close to 1k) in 50 days compared sa 600k na nagsurrender. why are good numbers not being recognized? kawawa ang PNP sa totoo lang. yung mga nsa line of fire hindi naman mga heneral yan. mga nasa low ranks pa sila so for a long time wala talagang gobyerno na full support sa kanila. mga heneral lang nila nakikinabang. tapos ngayon na may presidente na nag aassure sa kanila, eto at sila pa ang igigisa sa senado. for what? for doing their jobs? tsk. mapapakamot ulo ka na lang talaga sa kat@ngahan ng mga nasa senado.

Proposed ₱3.35 trillion budget submitted to Congress

By Joyce Ilas, CNN Philippines

Updated 21:51 PM PHT Mon, August 15, 2016

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — The Duterte Administration is putting its money where its mouth is.

Budget Secretary Ben Diokno turned over to Congress the proposed ₱3.35 trillion budget for 2017, which is 11.6% higher than this year's budget.

Related: DBM presents proposed ₱3.35 trillion budget for 2017

The budget of the Office of the President significantly increased by 600% — from ₱2.8 billion pesos this year, ₱20 billion will be allocated next year. The office is also getting the biggest increase in the budget.

Even Diokno does not seem to be familiar with such increase at first.

When asked about it, Diokno said, "I'm not aware. Is it ₱20 billion? I don't think so. Are you talking of the Office of the President? I don't think it increased by that much."

But after he was shown a copy of the budget, Diokno stood corrected.

He then tried to justify the increase in the OP's budget.

Diokno explains the budget of the Office of the President significantly increased because of the funding for the Golden Anniversary Celebration of the Association of South East Asian Nations, which the Philippines will host.

In a text message to CNN Philippines, Diokno said the ₱15 billion was added to the OP’s budget to fund the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN next year.

He says though, the ₱15billion under OP will still be distributed to concerned agencies next year.
Budget for crime suppression

In the President Rodrigo Duterte's budget message, he stated that his government will double or even triple its efforts to bring drug pushers and crime syndicates behind bars.

The Department of Budget Management (DBM) allocated ₱110.4  billion to the Philippine National Police for 2017, which is 24.6% higher than the current budget. This will be used to hire more policemen, buy more guns and patrol vehicles, and finance other anti-crime activities such as the construction of rehabilitation centers.

"There are four additional 550-bed hospitals for rehab and one rehab center would cost something like ₱700 million. And we're also creating new positions to help in rebel infested areas," Diokno said.

Related: What are the challenges to Duterte's plans?

The DBM increased the budget of the Armed Forces of the Philippines to ₱130.6 billion pesos — 15% higher than this year's budget.

It aims to intensify the government's counter-terrorism efforts, to protect our borders, and to increase the salaries of military and uniformed personnel.
Golden age of infrastructure

The Duterte administration also hopes to start the golden age of infrastructure in the country by increasing the infrastructure budget to ₱860.7 billion.

This is 13.8% higher than the budget allocation for infrastructure for this year.

Diokno said the Duterte administration hopes to allocate a total of ₱7 trillion from 2016 to 2022 for infrastructure.

"Itong ₱900 billion for 2017, downpayment lang iyan sa ₱7 trillion. Ang mangyayari nyan, we will address all the needs of the people of the Philippines, hindi lang sa (not only in) Metro Manila. We will identify such projects," Diokno said.

Diokno added the Duterte government is planning to build three more train lines.

The budget Secretary explained though, these projects will be undertaken through Private-Public Partnership (PPP) programs.

"I think there is a need for three more lines. 'Di ba meron kang (You already have) MRT, LRT, then you have MRT7. You need 3 more lines, we will address those. But hindi yon kasama (But that's not included), that's more like PPP type. The PPP projects will be on top of the ₱7 trillion over six years," Diokno said.
No budget for Charter Change, congressmen projects

Diokno added there is no budget allotted for Charter Change in the 2017 budget.

Duterte has repeatedly said that among the priorities of his administration is the revision of the 1987 Constitution and the shift to a federal form of government.

Diokno explained the President prefers Constituent Assembly, wherein it is the elected members of the Upper and Lower chambers of Congress which will amend the Constitution.

"There is no budget for Charter Change here. But as you know, the preference of the President is Con-Ass. That does not involve additional expenses. Or if so, we can get it from the contingent fund," said Diokno.

There is also no budget allotted specifically for the projects of congressmen or senators in the 2017 budget.

Congress budget.jpg Budget Sec. Diokno says the 2017 budget has no allocation for charter change.

Earlier reports claim that ₱80 million worth of projects has been allotted for each Congressman.

"Those are rumors but they are not true. There is no PDAF in this budget. Let's put it that way," Diokno said.

He added, "They may go to some heads of agencies and ask for projects, but there no is hard and fast rule that they will get so much. It is their right as congressman to request for what is good for their constituents."

Diokno said if lawmakers want to implement projects, they will have to approach the head of the appropriate agency.

"For example, a Congressman would identify ₱100 million worth of projects but they are not eligible, because all of them are basketball courts — then zero. But here is somebody who identifies specific projects which are worthwhile, which are consistent with the desire of the President to develop the countryside, we will of course, consider those requests," Diokno said.

Diokno also said the 2017 budget is in line with the Duterte administration's 10-point agenda.

On Monday next week, the House of Representatives is scheduled to start the committee deliberations, where lawmakers are expected to scrutinize if the budget is properly appropriated.

Chill. No need to call other people naive. Wala naman ako sinabing gagawin niya. I was only trying to point out that leaving UN is impossible. Ang sinabi ko withdrawal of support lang ang puwedeng gawin, which not really ideal given the repercussions.

Ok yung opening ni Sen. Alan sa hearing ngayon. Ang official statement ni Gen. Bato and PRRD is that they do not support extra judicial killings.

He did that with US and AU too. So malamang ganun lang din ang nangyayari.

Define hater. Someone who would hate and not acknowledge even a single positive thing a person has done. Kung di ka bilib eh di fine. Subjective yan. but to hate everything a person has done to the point na di na din reasonable, hater na tawag dub.

Do we really have to 'love' the President?

And what's with the 'walang naitulong ang UN'? Is he serious? Or is this one of those jokes again? Another 'don't-mind-it-emotional-outburst'? Ang dami na ah.

no sis, we dont need to love our president. our current president doesn't even require us to. as filipinos, we only have to love our country.

kung hinde ka hater, then whatever is said about a hater doesn't apply to you. daming sinasabi about duterte fantards but hinde ako affected kasi hinde naman ako fantard. may tiwala lang talaga ako sa kanya.

but rest assured that mere words will not destroy our international relations. lilipas din yan. i get to work with people of different nationalities and honestly, bilib sila kay duterte.

finally!! sana next na yung iba.

Two of the five high-ranking cops tagged in the illegal drug trade by President Rodrigo Duterte will soon be facing complaints to be filed by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).
DILG Secretary Ismael "Mike" Sueno confirmed in a press briefing at MalacaƱang today that they will be filing complaints against Director Joel Pagdilao and Chief Superintendent Edgardo Tinio.

@baby_chichay i agree. sayang lang ang pera sa senate hearings na mga yan. it has just become an avenue to destroy in public your political enemies and for some to grab the limelight and come out as heroes. buti sana kung nari resolve agad mga issues. yung saf44 nga, hinde pa natapos. anyway, the senators have to do their job pero sana unahin nila kapakanan nung nag surrender. saan ipapa rehab? saan kukunin panggastos? sabi nga ni duterte pinakikiusapan nya afp na gawing rehab centers ang mga kampo nila. hinde na nga nila alam saan kukuha ng pera since wala namang budget para sa 600k nato. tapos sasabihing hinde nya niri respeto human rights ng mga drug users nato? pinuproblema nga natin pati pang pa rehab.

i just watched bits and pieces but these EJKs have been happening ever since. minsan para hinde maging witness, pinapatay nalang. kaya nga most police involved na din. or yung iba hinde nalang umiimik. kaya nga pandemic na ang illegal drugs sa atin. konting years nalang, baka maging mexico na tayo in asia. gusto ko itanong bakit umabot tayo sa ganito? anong nangyari? but sabi nga move on nalang at focus sa present.

ngayong political rival nila ang presidente at hinde nila maakusahan ng graft and corruption or election scam, may senate enquiry na sa mga EJKs. the hypocrisy. but well, hinde naman threatened ang pnp or even the president kaya hala go.

Anyway headline tayo sa NBC about Duterte, yung mga nagshashare eh puro positive feedback. They're happy that someone na lider eh may nagsalita daw tungkol sa mga black na napapatay.

Pansin ko while Sen. cayetano was presenting his slides napadaan yung camera kay De Lima, parang gigil sya na di mapakali. Ewan ko kung ako lang nakapansin..

Bato said he will look into the cases that were presented, sya daw mismo ang hahanap ng hustisya para sa parents nung napatay dahil sure sya na scalawag na police na yun. Kung ako yung nagwitness siguro mahiya ako... Alam nila na this senate hearing is to make the PNP and president now look bad. Kahit alam nila yung mga cases nila is even before Duterte and Bato took oath sa office eh nagwitness pa sila kuno. And to think sabi ni Bato they never reported these cases now sa kanila. And yet De Lima wants to make it look na sina Bato and Duterte ang may utos. Napa WOW Lang ako
