Mgtataka ka talaga sa mga Generals sobrang mayayaman just like some politicians. hindi naman ganun kalakihan ang sahod pero ang yayaman, kung tutuusin nga mas malalaki pa sahod ng mga kababayan nating OFWs na sumasahod ng 100k-300k, pero nahihirapan pa din, kayod kalabaw pa din. Hindi sila mabilis makapundar.

Pero itong mga generals and politicians ang bilis yumaman. Nabalitaan niyo ba yung news na PO2 na hinihinalaang protector ng drugs, nung niraid yung bahay niya, may 7 million cash sa volt. tsaka ang bahay daw magarbo, eh sahod lang naman daw ng PO2 is 23k..

Siguro some of this generals eh hindi talaga "officially" protector ng drugs, pero tumatanggap sila ng lagay. I mean hindi sila direkta nakikipag usap sa mga drug Lords, pero pag pinapadalhan sila ng pera eh tinatanggap nila.

No arrest of passengers caught with bullets only, says new Avsegroup chief

MANILA - The alleged bullet-planting scheme in Philippine airports may now be a thing of the past after President Rodrigo Duterte prohibited authorities from arresting passengers for bullets in their luggage.

Senior Superintendent Mao Aplasca, new director of the police Aviation Security Group (Avsegroup), said Thursday that travelers would not be detained or charged in court if an ammunition is confiscated from them, as per Duterte's order.

Passengers in possession of ammunition will instead undergo immediate profiling to clear them of links to any terrorist or criminal group, and of criminal intention in carrying the bullet.

They would be allowed to immediately board their flight provided that no firearm is confiscated together with the ammunition, Aplasca added.

"Laglag-bala modus operandi is a thing of the past and we assure the public that they no longer worry that they will miss their flight or get arrested at our airport for possession of an ammunition," he said.

The "tanim bala" scam allegedly involves airport personnel who plant bullets in unsuspecting passengers' luggage. Once the passengers are apprehended, scammers reportedly ask for money in exchange for their release and record-free passports.

Even before the presidential campaign, Duterte said if he were the country's president, he will have the perpetrators of the scam swallow bullets.

He had also urged President Benigno Aquino III to personally address the matter as this has caused embarrassment for the country.

Aplasca said the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), and the transportation department will form a joint team that will conduct regular security planning for airports.

Avsegroup is the main unit that maintains security in more than 80 airports across the country.

Duterte asks Robredo to head HUDCC

President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed Vice President Leni Robredo chairman of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC), a post also previously held by the former vice president.

This was announced by Malacañang days after Robredo paid a courtesy call on Duterte.

"The Vice President has accepted the offer and she was asked to report for the first Cabinet meeting on Monday," Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre said at the Palace.

The HUDCC post was previously held by former Vice President Jejomar Binay.

The President had earlier balked at giving Robredo a Cabinet post because of his friendship with losing vice presidential candidate Senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.

In a statement, Robredo said the post will further push the work they wish to do for those at the "fringes of society."

"Nagpapasalamat tayo kay Presidente Rodrigo Duterte na itinalaga tayo bilang Tagapangulo ng Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council," she said.

"Mas mapaglilingkuran natin ang ating mga kababayang walang tahanan at maipagpapatuloy natin ang ating pangakong itulak ang kaunlaran at kaginhawaan para sa ating mga kapus palad na kababayan," she added.

‘Warming up’

Aguirre said there was “some sort of warming up” between the top two officials when they met at Malacañang, and at Camp Aguinaldo for the change of command ceremony of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) last week.

“The past two meetings between the two are very amiable. I believe that was the key for the President to offer her a position and for the Vice President to accept it,” Aguirre said.

“There must be some reconsideration of the decision so here we are, I think this is very good for the country,” Aguirre said.

‘Televised telephone call’

A pre-recorded footage of the President's briefing, aired on the government-owned PTV-4, showed Duterte calling Robredo on the phone after a reporter asked him about the Vice President getting a post in his administration.

"Tinatanong ng Malacañang press kung bibigyan ko raw kayo ng puwesto sa Gabinete," Duterte said on the phone.

The responses on the other line could not be heard, but Duterte went on.

"Alam mo, ma'am, kasi tinawagan kita para matapos na 'tong tanong tanong... Kaya nga, e, ma'am. O, do not be apologetic, but gusto ko na 'tong itanong. Puwede ka Housing, ma'am? Can you be the Housing secretary?"

“Tanggapin mo mam? ….Yes….Wag na ma’am. The Executive Secretary will hand you the appointment so mahinto na ito ma’am kasi, kasi tatanggapin mo ma’am kaya?”

It's a shame that blood flows as cleansing happens, even within the ranks of our institutions that previously were untouchable. But sadly, we don't live in an ideal world, and you cannot ask a drug lord to "stop, just stop" by appealing to his good sense and kindness.
Never going to happen.

Even in the underworld, lives are snuffed out as drug cartels fight each other, or small time pushers are killed if they are not able to pay debts or turn over collections. And when you're in the drug trade and has infiltrated the network, there's really no way they'll let you out alive. You know so much. You can watch The Godfather if you dont believe me. Maybe you'll believe Puzo. I'm just a girl who has hung out at a police station in Manila and saw how some policemen refused to take on a case that led to a possible "major" drug lord they were afraid to touch.

I'm glad in your world you think that people don't die in drug-related activities. You think it's a business just like any. And now you find out they do, and you think it's the new government's fault that they are killed, and you blame Duterte for the spate of deaths when you have zero idea how things work in real life.

Do not think otherwise. When you think that this "bloodbath" is only happening now, please remember that this is happening because, as this story here shows us, a new variable has entered the scene and these drug lords have realized that the new government means business. Kill all the small fry before they finger the big fish--and this is Duterte's fault how? That's the kind of Omerta they work with.

Do you realize at all how shocking it must be for these criminals who have been so used to getting their way, paying off policemen and judges and whoever can be bought (most, really) to have to find out that in less than a week, an intense crackdown will start?
And when justice is meted, it won't be in the form of a plush jail with the comforts of a hotel room because it's never going to happen under a Duterte presidency.

Real change is always scary and drastic and shocking, but at no time in our post-War history has been there a leader with an immense political will, with the backing of the majority of the Philippines, yes, more than 16 million people (if you still don't believe there was cheating, Ill pay for your tickets to Basilan so you can personally ask the people there why their votes didn't reflect), and this political capital is what he needs to get things done.

Will another man like Duterte come along in my lifetime? Probably no, and this is why you need to shut up, especially as he takes his seat in the next few days, the way we have shut up as oligarch after indebted oligarch after indebted oligarch used the power of the Presidency to further their own causes, reward themselves, reward their friends, hide and shirk away from real issues that they couldnt deal with because that is not their world. (ie, what does Abaya care about the MRT, he's probably never ridden in one, or he zooms straight to the VIP area when he arrives at our airport, or they have "hawi" boys to make traffic more tolerable. No wangwang, just hawi boys in motorcycles. Please.)

I voted for Duterte for the same reasons you hate him--his insistence to go after the drug lords, his ability to stand his ground in the face of moneyed mining companies--how amazing he refused campaign money from them and Lucio Tan--and the fact he is indebted to no one, only means he serves one Lord-- us. Not the Catholic church, not the old boys' network, not the media, not the financiers (I know what you are going to say. But please, if he can refuse Lucio Tan, do you think he would take Manny Villar's money? That alliance is political, not financial, hello.)

You and your intellectual posturing needs to stop. This is real life. And if you're not impressed by the witnesses all coming forward or the hundreds of drug pushers who chose to surrender because the alternative was getting killed by the drug lords, then well, tough luck, we, the majority, weren't so impressed with the leaders you chose either. Duterte is President for a reason, OUR reasons.

We won this round, so you goddamn better take your seat because we also need a shot at redemption.

and within 5 days, napangalanan na agad yung mga generals. tska yung mga drug Lords.. yung mga drug lords nakakulong na pero nakakapag negosyo pa rin ng drugs, at yung isa nagka ALBUM pa haha kaya imposibleng walang protector to sa loob.

Sana tuloy tuloy na tong pagbabago para sa ikauunlad ng bansa natin. next na papangalanan ata yung mga mayors and police na sangkot sa drugs.

overwhelming mga pangyayari. our tv news has never been this exciting! for the first time in forever, nag-aabang ako ng news at natutuwa ako sa mga balita lol! i do feel bad for those druglords and addicts and pushers na napapatay. no matter what, tao pa din sila. if only, it's safe to give them another chance. if only we can afford to let them live and isolate our children from them. but i think it's smarter to just finish them off. it's a greater risk to let them live, sa totoo lang. wala na mga konsensya yan eh. nilamon na ng pera mga kaluluwa nila habang millions na buhay ang sinira ng mga drugs na binibenta nila. sana naisip nila yan before sila nagpusher.
