All about Breastpump II

I have haakaa, which I use lang for catching let down sa aming first baby.  Hindi sya effective sakin to use as main pump, hindi nya nakukuha lahat.

Spectra S2, i use it 2x/day at work. Comfortable sya gamitin at mas mabilis kasi dual pump. Mas madali din linisin kasi konti lang yung parts. Medyo bulky nga lang sya and laging nakaplug dapat.

Horigen Miture, i use it sa work din pero kapag nasa field lang ako or attending seminars. Compact and lightweight, but medyo uncomfortable gamitin kasi parang ini-squeeze nya yung breast.

Among the 3, pinakasatisfied ako sa performance ng Spectra, pero i need the flexibility ni Horigen. Kaya ngayon for our second baby, in search na naman ako sa breast pump na bagay sa lifestyle ko. I'm eyeing for Spectra 9+ or Cimilre F1. Magbaback read muna ulit dito. Hehe

^ I'm using Spectra M1 and okay naman sya. Pero for additional 1k, I would have gone for 9+... Per reviews mukhang mas effective sya. You can try out at Babymama branches.

Hi. Need advise. Will be giving birth to our first born this Aug. I am eyeing the spectra s1. Anyone here who is using the s1? Did you encounter any problems? I can't decide kung sa babymama (14.5k) ba ko bibili for the warranty or other online shop from korea (~10.2k) but no warranty. Sayang din yung 3.5k, pandagdag pambili ng handsfree kit and cooler. Thanks.

Maganda ang spectra s1. Yun ang gamit ko. Pwede naman siguro yung walang warranty. Matibay naman siya. Ang papalitan ko lang palagi ang valves

katok lang po sa thread na to, I can't afford right now to buy a brand new electric breaast pump, advisable ba bumili ng second hand? Planning to store more breastmilk kasi, I previously used a manual breastpump kaso ang tagal din minsan makapuno...mas makakasave time at makakapag ipon ng mabilis pag electric sa palagay ko...thanks in advance

For me, okay lang ang second hand. Yung parts (flange, valves, etc) ang palitan mo for hygiene purposes na din.

^ I previously used manual breast pump too. Nakakastress lang.

I prefer electric na din kahit stay at home lang ako. I dont mind using second hand. Hub is willing to buy pero nanghihinayang talaga ko ang mahal.

With my first daughter, I had an avent manual pump and a medela double electric pump. Mas effective saken yung Avent manual pump, I could express around 8-10oz in 15 minutes. Yung electric naiingayan ako plus hinde nya nasasaid.

mga sis, ok lang ba bumili ng second hand electric pump? actually broke ako eh hahhaha kaya di ako makakabili ng brand new, ang kaya ko lang is manual eh ang tagal makaipon ng gatas...plan ko buy before naman ako bumalik ng work kasi gusto ko unli-latch kami ng baby during mat leave ko...

^ sis may napanood ako sa youtube pwede mag rent hospital grade breast pump sa hospital mismo. Or Medela.
Sinesearch ko din online, actually madami where I live but not sure satin

^^Pag electric, I think you can buy second hand but replace the parts for hygienic purposes.

^sis makahanap na nga lang...ano ba pinakamurang electric pump na di hassle gamitin? nalulula kasi ako sa presyo...sa first 3 kids ko kasi manual pump lang, matagal lang makaipon hhehe...

Anong pros and cons ng Spectra S1 versus Spectra 9+?
Alam ko mas mahal ang S1 pero worth it ba ang price niya?

Hi sisses, this is not about breastpumps but can you recommend a good breastpads both disposable and washable, I used Pigeon before gusto ko magtry ng iba...saka kung anong pwedeng nipple cream na mabilis lang bilhin..di ako gumamit ng nipple cream sa 3 kids ko kasi sabi ng nanay ko breastmilk lang daw ipahid pag may crack na or masakit na ang nipple at gagaling agad...

^sis following with breast pads. Nagli-leak milk ko nun, lampin lang pang punas ko lol. I didnt know breast pads exist.

Im backreading first time ko kasi gagamit sana  electric pump dahil waley yung manual sakin before napakahirap magproduce. So far I learned Medela is more noisy than spectra. Kahit stay at home lang ako ayoko maingay. Still not sure which one to get. Will do more research pa.

Lastly, singit ko na din- maliit lang dede ko as in 32 lang pre- pregnancy, but now at 17 weeks nabibigatan na ko. Im thinking of getting maternity bras, worth it ba? Nasa bahay lang ako most of the time. I tried bra extender, masakit pa din yung breast kasi malaki na dapat yung cups nya.
Sayang lang kasi if after manganak di ko magagamit yung maternity bra.

I am also torn between Spectra S1 and S2 before but I have decided to purchase soon S2 instead. I read reviews that when the battery in S1 becomes damaged (although I don't think masisira naman agad), you won't be able to use the pump even if you plug it. So I'd better choose S2 na plugged na lang palagi when expressing milk.

Compared with Medela as well, based from the reviews, more silent si Spectra and no backflows. Medela is great too but compared with the price and quality lalo na ang mga hospital grade pumps, Spectra is a much better choice/option. Bulky lang talaga si S1/S2.

Sale si Babymama at 20% discount until end of September so kahit na I will be giving birth by March next year pa, I am considering buying one na kasi bihira mag-sale si Spectra.

I also consider getting 9+ although I am a bit wary of the battery for longer use lalo na that I am aiming for expressing my milk most of the time and since hospital grade si S2, mas matibay siya. Difference is the portability and life span ng motor.

Also pala, maganda daw si S1/S2 lalo na sa mga konti mag-gatas na mommies. Due to its functions and settings, mas natutulungan ang breasts to produce more milk.

^I have bought maternity bras and I can still use them even if I have already given birth.
