Pano niyo tinago un breast pump nyo?  Iniisip ko kasi if itatago ko lang baka di na gumana pag matagal di nagamit..  or ipag benta ko na lang? Btw BP ko medela freestyle

^1year and 3 mos na baby ko, but i am still using my breast pump. it's a Spectra M1. i still pump at work at least once to 2x for the following reasons:

1. to keep/maintain the supply

2. she still takes around 5 to 7 oz of breast milk through the bottle while i am at work, so we still need to have a small stash.

3. there are mommy friends who ask for donations every now and then; that motivates me to continue pumping, though my pumping routine has become quite irregular in the past few days.

4. i would like to breastfeed my baby until her 2nd birthday

but i have been thinking about the same thing, what to do with my pump after i am done pumping. here are my options:

1.  thinking whether i should sell it and get the upgraded M1, which can be used for up to 12x a day. that will be great considering that i will not have to worry about "burning out" the battery.  my current M1, which is the older version, can only be used up to 5x a day.

2. on the practical side, i am also thinking whether keeping it for use for the next baby's breast milk needs will be better. i am actually leaning on the practical side, keeping it in the meantime. but i think i will be changing all the pump accessories, like the long tubing, t-connector, and the valves.  and also, what if my pump suddenly conks out?

3. i might also keep my M1 and buy the upgraded version. i will be using the new pump at work and leave it there, while my old pump will be used at home and will be my backup pump.

hmmm....can't decide at the moment. but at least you got me thinking harder on this matter.

^yes. I suppose i will do that. keep my M1 in the meantime. and use it for the new baby. i have been using my M1 for 15 mos and I have never needed a backup pump.

I use spectra M1 ( old version ) and use it 3x a day at work.

i have been using it for 3 years na,  pero yung 3x a day araw araw is just 2 years.

up to now ito pa dn gamit ko bunso is 1 yr old.

I've been using the Spectra 9+ for 3 months now.  Ok siya, very comfortable yung suction and I like the massage feature to initiate letdown.  There's a guide on Babymama.ph for your size.

Nasa cabinet lang lol! Medela Freestyle rin sa akin. 2 weeks ko lang nagamit to relieve engorgement kasi direct feeding kami ni baby no. 3. Hindi sya natuto mag bottle. I had donated my stash.

Waiting ako ng buyer sa OLX haha.

I am using Cimilre F1. Sister company ng Spectra ang Cimilre. Very good ang suction and I've been using it for 5 mos na. I use it 3x a day (during office hours) and nakakapag uwi ako ng 12-16 oz from the office. Sa bahay, direct latch pa rin kami ni baby.

Oo sis, may milk bag ako. Pagkadating sa office, nilalagay ko yung pump and ice sa ref ng nursing room namin sa office. Yung ice sa freezer, pero yung pump and expressed milk, sa loob lang ng ref. Kasi what I pumped for today, yun ang kinoconsume ni baby the ff day kaya di ko na frinifreezer.

San ka bumili ng Cimilre F1? okay nga daw e based on reviews. Eyeing this or Spectra 9+ for work. Di ko lang kase makita max usage ng cimilre f1.. sa spectra 9s kasi up to 12 time a day.

Sa Lazada lang ako bumili sis. Double pump yun kaso yung isa lang ang ginagamit ko, sa kabilang breast e Haakaa. Mas madami akong naiipon pag ganun kesa double pumping. Pero baka ako lang ito. hehe

yung mga valve, lam ko every 6 months dapat pinapalitan, and palitan talaga at any sign of damage. pati yung bottles din siguro? kasi yung feeding bottles every 6 mos lang rin e

kapag may damage or pag ramdam mo na iba na suction, better to change na agad mas okay din may ready kana extra kasi you will never really know kelan ka mapupunitan ng valves kasi eh. every 6mts daw suggested na magpalit ng valves and tubings

my first pump was Horigen Innovature, mixed feelings ako dito, more on hindi ko sya mairerecommend. una sa lahat days before mag 1yr yung pump ko ayun nasira na sya, ayaw gumana nung left part na port. nagmessage ako sa binilan ko regarding the problem kaso sobrang bagal ng customer service nila and hindi din naman nila ako natulungan talaga kung paano ba pwede ko gawin sa pump ko since i am from the province pa.

pangalawa, hindi sya battery operated, so pag nagpump ka stuck ka sa iisang lugar. pwede mo gamitan ng powerbank, kaso the pump itself is a bit bulky na tapos dagdagan mo pa ng powerbank na mabigat, para sakin ang hassle lang.

pangatlo, super hassle maghugas ng pump parts. nakakaiyak sa dami ng hugasin. pinagtyagaan ko na lang talaga kasi sayang and i find it comfortable on my breast naman, pero overall hindi ko sya mairerecommend na pump.

my second pump was youha, i got it 2nd hand na pero it still works perfectly. hindi ko nagamit yung flange na kasama kasi hindi sukat sakin yung size. mas "masarap" sa pakiramdam ang suction ng horigen vs. youha. pero not a big deal on me naman kasi same output lang din and eventually nasanay na din ako sa suction nito. portable ang youha, battery operated, pwede ka maghands free.

now na pregnant ako for my 2nd baby, hindi na ako bumili ng bagong pump, i still plan to use my youha pump. bumili na lang ako ng freemie cups para makapag handsfree ako at work.
