I recently resigned from a teaching post in the university and looking into exploring an online/home-based job. My friend recommends Upwork. I'm thinking content writing or translation.

Ilang hours ang average work niyo per day?

Hi sis, usually per week kasi working hours dyan. Pero sa cover letter mo pede ka naman magsabi kung ilang hours per week ang kaya mo and if gusto mo flexible or weekdays only etc. Pero merong clients kasi na sa job posting pa lang, nakalagay na rin kung anong sked nila gusto kunwari 8am-5pm pst or cst, kung san timezone sila based and meron din iba kasali weekends and holidays. Meron din naman flexible basta matapos mo yung weekly na hours mo, kunwari 30  or 40 hours per week sayo, bahala ka kung pano mo didivide oras mo, ganon.

Try mo sa onlinejobs.ph. Dati sa upwork din ako kumukuha ng clients  pero since last year e mas preferred ko na ang onlinejobs.ph. Ang dami na kasi restrictions ng upwork plus pa ang mahal na ng fees nila na chinacharge sa mga freelancers ngayon. Sa onlinejobs.ph straight up and clear cut yung mga offers. No need for bids etc. Try it out. Baka mas magustuhan mo din sila

@gulaysk ? I?m fulltime, completely flexible (Bale I just need to complete 80hours for 2weeks para buo ang sweldo ko. Hehe! ) Yung hours depende sa arrangement nyo ni client. What you can do is define your preferred hours/days from the get-go. Like kung gusto mo ba parttime or parttime flex or fulltime flex, weekends off etc. This way e you won?t waste time checking out clients only to find out na hindi pala magwwork sayo yung schedule na kailangan nila For writing and translation, usually e flexible sched sya kasi mas importante na ma-hit ang deadline kesa sa kung ilang hours ka nagwwork a day Pero again, depende padin yan sa arrangement nyo ni client.

Gusto ko ding magtry nito before deciding if I can do home based jobs full time.  4 months preggy now and magaan lang naman ang work ko. Iniisip ko na pag ka panganak mag resign na pero gusto ko naman na kahit papano may source of income pa din ako kahit di kalakihan. Sa ngayon sa pharma/medical field ako nagwo work. Sana maka hanap din ako ng ma ta try na online part time job.

Tama Mommies, bago mag resign try try muna "test the water" kumbaga. Hindi din kasi para sa lahat ang Work at Home. Yung iba na sociable maiinip talaga, ako kasi saktong home buddy lang talaga.  Pero pwede din naman if money is not an issue pwede din go na agad. Ako kasi resign ng June 2013 pahinga muna sabay September pa nakahanap ng online job. Kaso ayun nga na sacrifice yung emergency fund namin.

mga sis, hi po....would like to start sana maging WAHM kasi 3rd baby ko na parang ang hirap na nila iwanan sa bahay ....may marerecommend po ba kayo companies na pwede online at legit??? I researched some sites na nirerecommend sa FB pero most of them parang mga scams....

Hi! Ito sana plan kong gawin. I resigned a year ago, and January this year I found out I am pregnant. Nanghinayang ako bakit hindi ko sinimulan magtiyagang maghanap ng online job earlier this year. Baka sana may homebased work na ako kahit di masyadong malaki muna ang pay. I just spent the last few months doing nothing sa bahay but cook, clean, and lahat ng kawalang kwentang gawin sa internet .

Now I am almost due. And when baby comes out, I'm pretty sure our expenses will also increase kaya I was hoping I could add to our income through having a homebased job. Ewan ko kung kakayanin ko given this is my first baby. But budget is tight. I also don't have a choice of finding a regular job again kasi walang magbabantay sa anak namin. Ayokong ipagkatiwala sa yaya kasi dami nang scary stories about kidnapping or child abuse nowadays. God forbid. I just registered sa onlinejobs.ph and applied for a few data entry posts but to no avail. Paano ba magsimula?

^^hi sis patience is a virtue hehe, apply ka lang ng apply. Try upwork din. I don't know kung applicable din sa onlinejobs ph yung tip sa upwork na padamihin  mo yung working hours mo and ask for good feedbacks from clients.  Some kasi in order to achieve that they would take short term and low paying jobs at first para lang tumaas yung working hours, get experience tsaka good ratings and feedbacks from clients tapos eventually ayun you get hired na din agad dun sa sa mga talagang preferred jobs mo and sometimes clients pa mismo mag send sa yo ng invitation for interview pag nakita nila good ratings at madami na yung working hours mo sa upwork  on your profile. @naizlabonita Hi sis not sure kung para sa akin ang tanong mo hehe but anway, sa BPO customer service and back office mostly ang experience ko. I also had a short stint in content writing and proofreading pero I had to quit din. Now I am a stay at home wife.

@khaleesiCersei Thank you sis! Crossing my fingers here. Sana nga makahanap na ako para naman I can help my husband kahit papaano. Mas preferred ko din sana to start with encoding or transcription jobs first.

I work from home too, and it is super harder than having an office job (outside the house).

Without a yaya, is even harder I try and keep the kids busy with activities - I recently bought a sand/water table. I also work on the floor (mat) with my youngest. I pull out a big box of stuff (toys, househould stuff, gadgets - all which I know are safe and no small things she can eat). She keeps busy for a good 30 minutes. Enough for me to finish checking and replying to emails.

I work when she is sleeping too.

^I had a few clients na from onlinejobs.ph. Usually, during the interview, iniintroduce naman nila ng mabuti yung company so from there may idea ka na if legit or hindi. You can also ask them if may iba silang remote employees/freelancers. If may time tracking software na gagamitin, typically andun lahat ang team members so malalaman mo naman din if scammer or hindi.

My main challenge right now with working from home is finding the ideal schedule. Ang hirap kasi lalo na with a toddler who still doesn't sleep through the night. Mommies, share naman kayo ng tips how you manage your time. I do have a yaya pero sobrang clingy pa rin ni baby. I breastfeed her to sleep (both naps and bed time) so ubos oras din yun. Tapos pagising gising pa sya.
