thanks, sis shegie!

sis aylatskie, glad to know your mom's here. a mom's care is just different from anybody else's.

sis which is witch, my mama (who went through 3 CS), recommends lots of exercise - just walking will do. she swears by it. for our youngest brother, whom she had in her late thirties 7 years after my second brother, her recovery period was only a month. i remember she was very active after giving birth.

re: diapers, we are going full cloth from the beginning. i know it sounds crazy but others have done it. but we're definitely not closing the doors on disposables. we already got some newborn sets just in case the regular cloth diapers don't fit baby.

Which is Witch?

^ I feel you sis. Hirap ng bed rest di makapag-shopping. Buti ka pa your husband willing to buy baby stuff and all, sakin, isang malaking miracle kung mag-kusa yun. 🙄 Puro online shopping din ako and buti nalang my eldest game na game mamili because it's her first sibling. Hope you're doing well sis.

Thank you for the well wishes everyone! God bless us all. :)

Hi 120515, when are you visiting Sydney? It's warmer there compared here in Victoria coz we are at the bottom. But for winter season (June, July, August) average daytime temp is milder, 7-9 degrees siguro. :)

Back to work na rin kasi ako by mid september kaya gusto ko rin electric.

Mga sis na nakaka encounter ng fetal hiccups - how many times a day nyo nafifeel to?

^ Hi sis!

Super wala akong idea what to buy first. Minsan may feeling na praning mode lang na ayokong bumili ng maaga, which is parang maling thinking naman. Kaya eto panay window shop lang and lista ng presyo hehe. Anyway, may alam ba kayong baby fairs up anytime soon?

Sis Shegie - condolences po to you and your family

Sabi ko not so sure kasi I dont feel any pain naman. Weeks before that nag spotting kasi ako so she decided to check my cervix lang din. Ayun, nakitang 2.8 cm. Dapat daw close to 4 ang normal. So under observation ako, I took progesterone suppositories and lay low sa physical activities kasi mukhang PTL ako. After 2 weeks TVS ulit. Kasi kung umiksi or nag dilate, cerclage candidate ako. Sa awa ng Diyos, umakyat ng 3.2 cm, but still not so good. Lay low sa activities ulit and continue progesterone. 2 weeks later nag 3.7 cm na measurement. Better na daw since close to 4 naman na at 24w na ako that time.

On glucose test - may nakasabay ako nun isinuka niya yung juice din and need ulitin kaso di daw nya talaga kaya.

Praying for healthy pregnancies and healthy LOs to all!

Hi mga sis.. Newbie here.. I'm 26w 4d with our 1st child.. What do i need to do to reduelce the itchyness? :( saka question ko lang, how do you prepare for breastfeeding mga sis?

Thanks po sa time and goodluck po sating lahat.. Praying for our and our little one's safety po during and after pregnancy..

^ hi sis jhinganda, use body moisturizer. it's the only thing that made the itchiness go away and now my skin is nearly back to normal. i have used different types of lotions - including a probiotic lotion my doctor had recommended - but it is the body moisturizer (gaia body moisturizer) i'm currently using that really helped.

the itchy parts of my body are the legs, arms, and tummy. 2 weeks ago, my upper arms and thighs were just covered in what looked like rashes - the skin was bumpy and it was really itchy. i used the probiotic lotion every day and might but it didn't alleviate the itch. i looked for an organic product last week just to check if that might work and it did. the rashes are gone now and my skin is starting to return to normal.

^^sis belle, i'll be there early june. thanks for the info.

praying for everyone's safe and happy pregnancy :)

Hi mommies,
This is my first time to post in this thread.  First time mom here. I’m on my 26th week now. No morning sickness and hindi masyadong maselan sa food and sense of smell.  I’ll be having a baby girl pala.  I’ll be having my OGTT this weekend, hopefully normal ang results. I have a few questions:

1) When is the time na puwede nang mag-start mamili ng gamit?  Naiisip ko kase baka mag-doble yung iba pag may nagbigay for baby shower.
2) Do you know of any baby fair, expo or any seminars related to pregnancy/childbirth? May nakita ako last time from Smart Parenting magazine baby shower for pregnant moms sayang di ako nakapag-sign up. May nakapag-join ba sa inyo?
3) Is it okay to use second-hand breast pump?  May willing magbigay sa akin pero I read somewhere its unhygienic daw. Any thoughts on this.

Thanks in advance for your comments.  Good luck to our pregnancy mga mommies.  Ingat parati for baby.

hi mommies, for those undergoing discomfort, will pray for you, hang in there, it will pass.

sis, shegie_285 my deepest condolences.

re: lotions, ingat lang mga sis when you choose the kind of lotion and other stuff we put on our bodies including body wash, shampoo, conditioner, make up, it passes the placenta barrier and can affect the baby. choose organic or plant-based. wag magpadala sa ads, even mustela has harmful chemicals. be wary of parabens, parfum, PEG, petrolatum, sodium laurel sulfate, triclosan, BHA and BHT ingredients. read the labels. read the labels of food items too. be wary of trans fat, saturated fat, sodium and cholesterol level, and all forms of sugar

thank you sis 120515. I will try to search for that moizturizer. Mahirap kasi humanap dito sa dubai. What I am using now is Human+Kind Body Oil, organic naman siya so there's no harmful ingredients, kaya lang hindi nawawala yung itchyness.

Thanks for asking sis macheoc. So far I'm doing well, but waiting for the results of my urine test. I still experience migraine pero hanggang kaya ko pa I don't drink meds kahit paracetamol. The last time we checked 130/90 bp ko, still thinking if we should buy our own bp monitor or not. How are you sis? :)

^ sis jhinganda, hope you find it in dubai. it's an organic brand from australia.

change in products: we also changed the products we're using for soap, shampoo, and lotions - it's all organic now. i agree, there's nothing wrong with erring on the safe side.

we're looking forward to our doctor's appointment tomorrow because our ob will discuss the results of our detailed scan. the sonologist said everything looked good but having a thorough discussion with our ob will make us feel better. also, our friends can finally set a date for the gender reveal party as well because we can finally give them the magic envelope ;D
