^ Yung family friend namin sis, na may petition din eh na approve lang last month, tapos ni wala silang matibay na business dito, at ni walang isang properties under their name tapos ni walang travel outside pinas.. kaya nung ma approve sila, nabuhayan ako ng loob.. sabi ko.. aba maluwag na ata.. Kaya na convince ako na mag apply.. I was wrong.

They were lucky.. mabait yung consul na nag interview sa kanila. Ni walang masyadong tanong, approve agad.

Kaya ako naman si ga-ga umasa.

Shine share ko mga sis.. para makapag prepare kayo.. and kung makakaiwas kayo sa amerikana na blonde ang buhok, I hope makaiwas kayo.

The dynamics are not as simple as it seems. I would think that having a pending petition isn't what makes or breaks the success of the application. It's the petition + other circumstances.

For example, ikaw may petition + your and your family in the US' financial capabilities can support your entire family kung mag overstay kayo dun (and eventually get permanent jobs and change your visa status), likely talaga na ma-deny kayo.

Pero kung yung friend mo na may petition + wala sila (sya at yung family nya in the US) masyadong financial means to support kung mag stay sila ng long-term sa US, mas malaki yung chance na babalik sila dito kasi mas mahal pa manirahan dun kesa dito (they have to determine this likelihood based on educational/professional background nung applicants, to name a few variables).

On a general note, they grant tourist visas to applicants whom they deem to have stronger ties/more reasons to come back to the Philippines.

Hello mga sis!

My husband and I have US visas (his got renewed last week lang thru dropbox) and I will be  applying for a US visa para sa 7yo daughter ko.

Aside from our passports with US visas, anything else that I need to consider bringing  during the interview? Do the consuls ask the kids din?

Hello, everyone! I was denied in 2011 and I wanted to try again. Need ko ba ilagay sa application form na na-deny na ko before? And if I answered NO dati sa question if I have relatives in the US, pwede ko ba sabihin now na meron ako relatives kahit distant relatives naman?

Just be honest with responding to questions. Your situation now may be different than before so even if you were denied you might be considered this time. On relatives, who doesn't have relatives in US Yes, mention they're distant relatives. Good luck!

Yes, need to be honest you were denied before.

On relatives, they would not take it against you if you forgot who your relatives in the US are, if you do not really talk to them. My husband wrote down my aunt (his aunt-in-law), whom we would be staying with for that trip, but forgot to write down his first degree cousin. No issue with the officer and he was still granted a 10-year ME visa.

My US visa (business) was approved last year. Pero yung kasabayan ko na coworker (were supposed to travel together) hindi naapprove.
Blonde American girl yung interviewer ko ang ganda pero mataray haha. I guess theyre trained to be that way.

Be confident (I know easier said than done). I guess it helps that Ive been to other countries before like UK and HK. Pero yung nauna sakin sa pila never pa sya nagtravel outside the country, naapprove naman. He sounded very confident & relax. If I remember correctly hes also applying for business visa. Since this is company sponsored, I wonder why my coworker was denied? Knowing her na medyo utal minsan- that could be the reason baka kinabahan ng bongga.

It also helps to dress professionally. You don't have to come in power suit if you're not used to wearing it, but at least dress in business shirt and slacks/skirt, and decent closed shoes. It shows respect to the consul. Imagine you're going for a business lunch meeting, how would you dress? That's also what they expect from you. And as the previous sis said, you have to be confident. Wag naman yung naka-business attire ka nga pero kitang-kita naman ng consul na very uncomfortable ka sa suot mo na obvious na pinilit mo lang suotin for that interview. Mas negative points. I also saw some coming in linen long sleeves na well-ironed, plain jeans, and ballet flats. Though casual, they looked so confident in their smart casual attire so they still look professional.

I wore jeans a white Polo shirt and sneakers. Business visa, 10 year approved.
Just be honest and know what youre talking about. I Even asked the consul if there was a way to get My passport back earlier, kase na Miss ko na yung first few days ng Business meetings ko, bibigyan ka naman ng option.

What irks me are the vendors outside the Embassy! Grabe, upuan may bayad, pag gamit ng payong nila may bayad. Kaya, wag na wag kayo mag titiwala sa mga vendors sa labas!!!

Hi everyone! I recently got my transit visa since Im going to Bermuda for vacation. I have a long connecting flight from JFK to Bermuda, almost 11 hours. Would you know if Im allowed to leave and explore the nearby city of NY? Parang ang pagakakaintindi ko kasi sa nabasa ko since Transit visa ako, Im only allowed at the airport. Thank you!

mga sis, magkano kaya sasabihin namin kapag tinanong kami kung magkano budget namin? We?re traveling as a family -3pax and planning to stay for about 7-10days lang. My husband told me na sabihin ko daw is $6K ang budget for our family excluding fare and accom, paano kapag  hiningi ang bank statement namin tapos not enough sa sinabi kong amount?

^  Better to just tell the truth.  If you can't prove that you can't afford to spend $6k, then don't say that amount.  Makikita din naman sa mukha mo if you're not saying the truth.  Kakabahan ka to answer it pag alam mo na di totoo sinasabi mo.

Transit Visa

Generally, a citizen of a foreign country who wishes to enter the United States must first obtain a visa, either a nonimmigrant visa for temporary stay, or an immigrant visa for permanent residence. Transit (C) visas are nonimmigrant visas for persons traveling in immediate and continuous transit through the United States en route to another country, with few exceptions. Immediate and continuous transit is defined as a reasonably expeditious departure of the traveler in the normal course of travel as the elements permit and assumes a prearranged itinerary without any unreasonable layover privileges. If the traveler seeks layover privileges for purposes other than for transit through the United States, such as to visit friends or engage in sightseeing, the traveler will have to qualify for the type of visa required for that purpose.

I went to the embassy earlier and i was told that my visa is approved. I was a bit nervous since I did not put my social media details in my application and told them that i don?t have relatives or friends in the US which they find unusual. I was asked why i?m not travelling with family 😂

Just want to ask regarding photo for US visa. That's 2x2 right? And they said that yung suot sa photo should be the normal clothes you wear, I assume OA kapag yung mga naka blazer. hehe. Lalo na kapag di ka naman talaga lagi naka blazer. Pero requirement ba na may collar at least? Hindi kasi ako ma collar na tao. hehe. Thanks! =D

hi po mga sis ask ko lang po ang RENEW thru drop box. I have a 10 years US Visitor Visa my visa was issued Last 2008.During my 10 years valid visa I almost traveled 5 times and stay at US almost 6 mos i never over stay. my mom and my sister are both US Citizen. my question is the duration of my  stay/travel is ground for denying my renewal VISA?pls makakatulong po talaga ito ng marami sa akin mga sis pa helpl naman po kahit any idea or insights...or kung sino merung katulad ko na nag renew thru dropbox at ang case nya ay ganito ano po ang nangyari sa renewal po ninyo?pls po pa help thanks...
