APPROVED!
We had our interview yesterday at 8:30 am schedule.
We were there sa area at 6:30 am pa lang kasi takot kami matraffic. We had our breakfast sa Starbuck while waiting. 7:30 we started falling in line sa labas.
During that time yung 8:00 schedule pa lang yung ina assist nila so matagal kami naghintay.
At 8:00 am pinapasok na kami.
Take note po what you will do since magstart is pumila ka lang and nakatayo.
When our bags checked, sablay kasi naiwan pala sa bag ko yung headset ng iphone ko. So even that bawal din pala (naisip ko kasi wala naman syang battery so akala ko lulusot)
Pero hindi daw talaga pwede so may husband needed to go again sa car para iwan.
Naghintay ako sa kanya dun na sa loob before mag step 1, around 15 minutes bago sya nakabalik.
So sa step 1, passport lang, verify lang nila yung appoinment.
Step 2, finger scanning, dito andami matagal kasi di maread ng machine yung finger tips nila, meron window dun super sungit nung officer na girl (foreigner) kasi naka ilang ulit na hindi mabasa yung finger scanning nung isang applicant.
Buti kami ni husband first try naread agad, dun kami natapat sa white guy, he was very nice.
Then pila ba kami for step 3 sa interview.
Ang haba na ng line, feeling ko nasa pang 50 na kami dun sa pila. Pero medyo mabilis naman ang usad.
Dito talagang nagobserve ako sa mga taong naiinterview and umaalis. D ko man naririnig mga questions sa kanila mostly pero with theri body language masasabi mo naman if denied or approved. Feeling ko mas marami yung denied talaga. Yung mga seniors naman, I guess 90% sa kanila lahat approved.
So nung malapit na kami, medyo kabado na ko. Sabi ko sa husband ko tense ako, buti siya relax na relax lang.
Then sa turn namin, pinapila na kami dun kami natapat sa Window 25. I was hoping na sabi ko sana wag ako matapat dun sa Asian Girl na sinasabi dito na marami nadedeny. And boom, pag pila namin sa window 25 Asian Girl yung consul. Kaya ayun mas lalo ata ako natense! Hahaha
Yung guy before us, narinig ko yung mga pahuling question sa kanya, how much daw yung salary, and I heard sabi nya 18K daw. Then the asian girl consul, type type siya.
Maya maya sabi nya, sorry but you did not meet our requirements.
Ayun, malungkot ba umalis yung parang indian guy.
Then kami na. Nauna mag good morning si asian girl consul, so naisip ko, ok naman pala mood. So this was the conversation.
Consul: good morning!
Me: good morning (sabay abot ng passport at ds160)
Consul: so your relationship with each other?
Me: husband and wife
Consul to my husband: purpose of visit, what to you do
Husband: vacation, position and company
Consul: your company, what is that?
Husband: describes what we produce and who are our customers. Nung nasabi nya na american company kami and we produce interior ng airplane, tumawa na si asian girl
Consul: ok i see, sounds interesting, your salary? She also asked tenure
Husband: XX,XXX
Then ako na tinanong
Consul: so you, what do you do?
Me: position and company (we worked for same company)
Consul: so you met at work?
Me: no
Consul: your salary and tenure, where do you plan to go?
Me: XX,XXX, more than 2 years, Los Angeles
Consul: ok ok, so you brought him in the company (smiling)
Consul: do you have kids, how many?
Why are they not travelling with you?
Me: we have 2 kids, ages 6 and 3. no at this time
Consul: ok. So what countries you travelled together?
Me: SG, Malaysia, Thailand and HK.
Consul: nodding and typing
Then after few seconds.
Consul: ok your visa is approved and will be sent next week.
Me: parang nabunutan ng tinik, super saya prang medyo nashocked pa. Hahaha
Pero Habang naglalakad kami palabas, dito ko kinabahan, bigla kami tinawag sa Mic nung asian girl, pinapabalik kami sa window.
So gulat kami ng husband ko kung bakit, naisip ko naku baka bawiin yung visa at baka may naging issues.
Pagbalik namin, naiwan lang pala namin yung ds160 confirmation: hahahaha
Buti nalang.
Then we went home happy.
Super sarap ng feeling, all efforts are worth it talaga.
So advise ko lang talaga, be confident and kung ano lang talaga details na nasa ds 160 dun lang iikot tanong.
Wala nga hiningi samen even single docs. Kumpleto naman docs namin just incase maghanap. Pero be prepared parin.
