Honeybunny, i'd say 50/50 talaga. There's no clear formula kung paano maapprove ang visa. When I applied for mine, I wasn't even a regular employee, wala din akong properties, and I didn't declare may bank statement. I got approved. Basta sinagot ko lang tanong nila. I made sure I was honest with what's on my application form and sa interview as well. I've only been to two other countries so my travel history was not as rich even. I have a friend na may canadian and schengen visas, japan/korea as well, pero nadeny sya. May dollar savings sya, may invitation pa from his sister in the US. Pero nadeny sya, actually 3x na nag apply sya di sya binigyan. So everyone really has 50% chance. No guarantees. Basta maging honest ka lang and usually what you write in your application form, nadouble check na nila yan before your interview.

My only beef is, di ko na narinig kung ilang days bago matanggap ang visa. Nag blackout ako nung sinabing, Your Visa is Approved blah blah blah. Is it true na 7 business days?

Recall ko one of these days ang interview. I'm still overwhelmed!

I also did not know kung anong visa type nakuha ko. Kung single or ME. Pero ok na ko basta approved kasi andaming na-deny!!!

And to sis who answered sa previous thread about yung P. Gil Lrt to Embassy, I took the other way around, hinatid kasi ako papunta embassy pero pauwi commute me, grabe ang layo pala nyang embassy to P. Gil station, feeling ko 5 kilometers lol..But thanks for that tip too.

May question pala ako, kasi married ako pero we've been separated for 6+ years na. No communication, whatsoever. May kailangan ba akong i-present para ipakita na full custody ko yung daughter ko? Affidavit, maybe?

hi po... kindly help please... i got denied last year and i want to try it again this year. Question, can I still create a new profile online again? I visited the site and there's a note saying...

" If you already have a profile, please do not create a new one. You can always modify your existing profile by logging in using your user ID and password. If you have lost your password, please simply retrieve it by clicking Forgot Your Password? If you are a first time user, click New User? to create your profile"

Worried kasi ako kung hindi na pwedeng mag create ng new profile eh I forgot my password already and the email address that i indicated was my previous company pa. so I can't click the forgot password to reset it.

Yey,  we got our visa approved.

My husband and I were asked why we wanted to go to US, where we are presently working, how long have we been working there  and why did we go to Paris? Do we have a family in US?

We have been to UK and some Schengen countries and we've also visited some countries in Asia na so maybe it helped. It doesn't hurt din na we applied as a couple. I think it's more difficult to get your visa approved if you're applying as single and you have an immediate family in US, more chances na mag TNT.

planning to get my 5 and 3 yr old kids...my eldest who is 8 yr old already have US visa na sabay samin kinuha last 2014 we're approved as family application..now for my 3 and 5 yr old malaki naman kaya chance na magapprove din sila?.....dati reason is a gift from my inlaws na mag disneyland si eldest ko together with us na approve naman....now sa 5 and 3 yr old na kids ko same rereason out ko ok lang ba?

Hello po!

I'm not connected with US Embassy or any other connection related to this. But I've been there several times due to my work. 

What I've observed, the key to your visa approval is to established your rootness here in the Philippines, lalo na po sa mga magtotourist lang. Meaning you have to convinced them that you do not have any plans (TNT) when you get there. The rootness that I am mentioning is something that you have here in the Philippines (i.e. work, business, school, anything basta babalik ka dito sa pinas). Have you observed that the only application docs that they need is your DS-160 and your passport? It's because before you go to your scheduled appointment, they already know your purpose, your background, relatives in the US if you have, and/or anything. Scary noh, pero hightech na po ang kanilang database. Kaya honesty is the best policy. 

I have a friend she applied for a tourist visa there (B1/B2), like others, she doesn't have any properties, for bank account she only have enough to support her travel (Disneyland trip lang). She declared all of her information in her DS-160 and went to her scheduled appointment. She honestly answered all of the visa officer's question (What is your purpose for applying a visa? What is your job? How many years are you working? Do you have any relatives in the US?, etc. etc..) She was granted a 10-yr visa.

@rocky:  yes, actually i was surprised that we got an early appointment date, (thank God  )  but i think hindi lage ganoon kase i also ask few travel agencies at first (checking mode ano mas ok if sariling process or sila mag proprocess hehe) sabi nila iba iba daw talaga availability ng dates, nung time na nag ask ako sa knila sabi nila noong huli, month of july na yung na book nila sa clients nila.

We were approved! Yahooo!    The interview went well.  4 of us applied as family and all of us had visa before except for my brother.  The consul was kind and smiling naman so i felt more comfortable.  Most of her questions are for me and my brother (about our work) since my parents are retired already.   

for the address, address ng US contact person ba? sakin kase since we have relative sa U.S., i declared his name and address sa form (mas better daw kasi e declare if meron relative as long as that person has clean record).  if none, you can TRY to put hotel name where you plan to stay or any retail shop doon that you plan to visit on your trip.

regarding relatives churva-- marami akong relatives sa US pero wala kaming communications, nakikita ko lang posts nila sa FB, at in case man na pupunta kami sa US, hindi din kami makikituloy sa kanila kase we are not that close naman-- so question is-- ilalagay ko pa din sila sa form?

I'm planning to visit my aunts in LA and sa isa kong aunt ako mag stay since she invited me to.
I want to answer the consul's questions truthfully, however I feel like this travel purpose will refuse me a visa,
since I'm single. ( i was refused 9 yrs ago, for a training, company sponsored - weird; ties weren't strong daw..)

I plan to stay there for 20 days.

A lot of  US visa recipients usually  recommend to others to tell the truth and nothing but the truth. It is well and dandy if the truth you are saying will help you get a visa. What happens then if the truth you are suppose to tell the consular officer will NOT help you get a visa and may in fact cause you a denial of said visa. Are you still suppose to tell the truth no matter what? Doing so  I think is pure stupidity. If you think you can get away with a   lie and have some proof to back it up,  then I think you can   take your chances and accept the consequences. There is no foolproof way up to now  if a person is lying or not and even consular officers are at best guessing. Just like a court justice system, it is a matter of having  evidence/proof  to back up what   you are saying. The party having more evidence usually wins and evidence is sometimes manufactured or made to appear more favorable to the one presenting the evidence. How many visa recipients you think actually told the truth and nothing but the truth.
