Yes or No to guests/visitors after giving birth?
« on: May 04, 2016, 12:21:08 pm »

Hi sa mga moms, I just wanted your opinion about this. I gave birth almost 8 weeks ago, although my husband and I are thankful sa visitors, ayaw talaga namin muna mag padalaw sa hospital at sa bahay during the first few weeks. Una, I was recovering from c-section, tapos ang sleep deprivation ay grabe talaga dahil busy kay baby. So wala kaming oras and energy to entertain guests. May narinig kasi akong ibang negative comments from some friends and relatives na kesyo ayaw ko daw mag padalaw etc. Sa mga hindi pa parents, siguro hindi nila narerealize gaano kahirap and overwhelming ang first few weeks with a newborn especially sa first time parents.

Kayo nag padalaw ba kayo agad after giving birth?

same here sis, ayoko talaga ng visitors hehe.. lalo na nung nasa hospital pa kami, kase need ko na ibreastfed si baby that time, kung kailan nagiging okay na yung paglatch ni baby bigla naman may dadating na bisita, hindi tuloy  ako maka concentrate kase siyempre first time mom ako nahihiya ako. mas gusto ko nalang din magpahinga sa bahay forever kesa bisitahin ako  ;D ;D

^^ it's not advisable sis kasi the baby can contract infections. remember, some infections are asymptomatic. alangan i-test natin sila lahat. i believe mature friends and family would understand. my officemate has to rush her baby kasi nag seizure. ang diagnosis, naka-contract ng infection possibly from visitors. now the baby is exhibiting microcephaly. :-( it's devastating considering she delivered normal and went home normal. deadma sa sasabihin ng iba, it's your baby's welfare at stake. that's too much risk to be concerned how the others would feel.

^aww, kakatakot naman yan sis. :(

personally, ayaw ko rin talaga maraming visitors. hassle kasi, baka may time na need ko magpadede tapos may bisita. as much as possible, gusto ko si hubby lang saka mom ko. for sure kasi hindi kaya kung mag isa lang si hubby magbabantay. ganun pala kasensitive ang babies, thanks for creating this thread sis TS.

No visitors, para sakin. :)

Hehe. Ayun, they can visit naman sa house siguro after few months, at pagnakarecover na rin ako. :):):)

No visitors for us too. I just said, my OB's strict about no visitors allowed. And it was true. My OB said no visitors muna. I only received visitors maybe a few weeks after giving birth, when I was mobile again after my CS.

No of course sa next time ko kung makakaintindi ang husband ko...

C-section ako and sobrang hirap gumalaw nun.sobra ding embarassment ang naramdaman ko that time.

The next day after ng pag opera sa akin, dumating ang mga in-laws ko, kesho first apo nila at excited silang makita.nung morning, pinilit pa ako ng husband kong puntahan si baby sa nursery nung pwede nang bisitahin si baby, advice ng doctor na padedein narin para masanay. Ayun, mga di makaintindi at right there and then sa harap ng mga magulang niya and kapatid na lalaki pinadede ko. Talking about exposure na ng nipples ko with them. Nakakainis that time promise.

:( That day was so horrible.

On my third day naligo ako mag-isa. Take note: mag-isa.

Kita nila as in. Di man lang umalis para magkaprivacy. Itong husband ko di man lang masabihan. Napaka b$b$ tingin ko sa husband ko that time.

Kaya sa susunod, di na ko mahihiyang ako na mismo magsabing wag nila kong panoorin.kasalanan ko rin eh.hinintay ko pang i-caution sila ng husband ko when he can't naman pala.

Sorry sa long post ko. Hahaha.....

My answer is NO

Sis yung last day mo talaga nakakainis, parang feeling ko after that they will talk about me, ayy ganyan pala yung ano niya. It doesn't help pa naman, haynako. Haha

no for me too.

we all need to recover muna parang wala ako sa huwisyo mag intindi ng bisita lalo na walang yaya. sa hospital, nagvisit inlaws ko and mom/sis ko and family friend na kakapanganak lang din ng asawa so they know when to say goodbye na. as in nagdala lang ng flowers and fruits, hi/hello/hope you recover well, tapos exit na.  some of my friends sent me sms asking when they can visit. i told them we're doing OK, pero I'll see them once we get our groove as new parents na lang.  they understood naman.

Undergone CS so I made my mom stay with me and my husband. Laking tulong promise.

I didn't allow any visitors also except for my brother and MIL which is bisita lang talaga. And that's it.

Told my hubby I'm still in the process of establishing my milk supply so no to visitors. And for baby's safety also.

I'll only allow my immediate family, inlaws, and best friend. Yung rest of my friends, they can visit me in the future pag fully recovered na ako.  :)

Good, hindi ako nag iisa. Dumating mga inlaws ko the next day ako operahan, and I was so exhausted kasi wala akong tulog, ang sakit ng tahi ko,, nag trtry ako mag padede tapos ang daming tao. Nakakapagod. I was so emotional din hormonal I guess, gusto ko sila palayasin gusto ko si hubby, baby and mother ko lang sa room. haha

Actually until now (7 weeks post partum) ayaw ko pa din mag padalaw. Wala akong energy para maging hostess. Not unless yung bibisita eh may dalang pagkain or balak mag linis ng bahay or mag bantay kay baby while I take a nap haha.

Di ko sya nilalabas as in.
