We stayed in an AirBnb flat in Ikebukuro, sis. Close sya sa subway station and same line lang din as Shibuya, Shinjuku, and Ueno (if you plan to go to the zoo). From the flat, 3-minute walk lang ,Sunshine City na which has the Pokemon Mega Center, big Disney store (na cheaper yung toys than Disneyland/Disneysea), and Toys R Us. May aquarium and planetarium din sya. Your 4-year-old might enjoy those. 

Plenty of restaurants too but beyond 10 p.m., expect to see groups of friends (mostly yuppies) since kilala rin yata Ikebukuro for places to drink/chill, but the flat itself, quiet yung paligid nya.

sis ano ano name nun airbnb na yun safe ba transaction? medyo hesitant kasi ako sa airbnb baka hindi safe.. pano kayo nagtransfer from airport to the place nag airport limousine kayo or by train?. nagdala ka ba sis ng stroller for your 4 yr old ?.

^advice ko sayo sis if mag book ka airbmb read ka ng reviews wag mo ibook yung new palang and walang reviews. pag naghahanap ako ng airbnb tinitignan ko kung malapit sa train stations. Normally train kami pag going to hotel from airport.

Will send you the link, sis. I don't have a kid yet pero mahilig kasi ako magpunta rin sa mga child-friendly places to shop for pamangkins. Train lang kami going to Narita airport. I think okay lang ang stroller inside the train kasi may mga nakita rin akong locals with strollers.

As for Airbnb, safe naman ang transaction. I've used Airbnb for all our previous travels. Take time to read the reviews na lang. Pag may nabasa kasi ako na medyo "off," I move on to other listings na. The flat in Ikebukuro, consistent naman na positive reviews.

Hi there!

Ask ko lang. Wala bang effect if magpalit kami ng accommodation sa Tokyo (initially sa visa application, via Booking.com kami) pero plan namin palitan ng airbnb sana kasi mas affordable.

Hindi ba magkakaroon ng problema sa immigration should we wish na palitan ng accommodation? Baka kasi may record sila ng application kasi. May nakaexperience na ba sa inyo nito?

No problem sis if magpalit ka. We did that as well on our trip to Tokyo and Osaka last year.

We just got back sa aming chillax na 10-day Tokyo trip My hotel on my first day was at Narita kasi ang flight ng husband ko ay next day pa. First solo travel ko I was able to try on pa yung Kimono for just 500 JPY sa isang NGO sa Narita City. May free shuttle yung hotel so nasundo ko si hubby the next day at sabay na kami papunta sa AirBnb namin.

I experienced snow for the first time! Yung early snow na iyon raw ay first time na mangyari in 54 years. Dun pa lang sulit na yung trip ko. Too bad wala pa husband ko the next day tipak ng yelo na lang inabot nya sa kalsada haha.

The AirBnb location was at Saitama. Mga 40 minutes away sa sentro. Easy lang pala mag commute and dahil yung station namin ay simula ng Tokyo Metro, laging may space na mauupuan. 10-ish na rin kami umaalis onti na lang ang tao.

Nagbook rin pala kami sa Yokoso Japan ng Hakone Ropeway+Buffet Lunch+Gotemba Premium Outlet tour. Sulit naman We were able to see Mt. Fuji, very clear ang skies nung araw ng tour namin. Di lang nag push through yung Ropeway sa mas mataas na station kasi very active yung ibang volcano sa area.

One day ang aming DisneySea passport, wala kaming ganong sinakyan kasi di naman kami mahilig sa ganun. And malamig rin kasi.

Sa mga pupunta pala ng Odaiba area better check out yung big Gundam--tatanggalin na sya sa March 2017.
