Am I right mga sis? Yung Canonical Interview and Pre-cana Seminar wala syang validity period unlike yung mga certificates with 6mos validity from date of issue? So as early as now pwede na sya iaccomplished right?

^ sis if I remember it correctly, I was instructed before na this should be done 3 months before the wedding date. That's why we had our Pre-cana dito na sa US. Kasi there was no way we would be able to go home 3 months prior sa wedding. Ask your parish din, I mean, the church where you will get married.  It might be different per diocese. We got married sa San Antonio de Padua in Silang pala.

Our wedding month was October. We had our Pre-Cana in August, and Canonical Interview in September (we were advised to do this at least a month before the wedding). The Confession should be a few days before the wedding day.

^Thank you sa replies sis Missus O and barbillie! I'm making a timeline of things to do for our wedding (Feb 2017). Nung narealize ko na 7mos to go nlng medyo nagpanic ako naisip ko baka this July may pwede na ko iaccomplish na church requirement. I will confirm with OLLP na lang din to be sure. Thanks again.

Sis Ziyi, Pre cana namin, we did it here in Dubai last month (June) basta pasok siya sa 6months validity. Then yung canonical naka schedule kame ngayong July 29 at 9am w/ Fr.Serge. I was advised na din to bring the requirements. But to follow yung marriage license na ipapasubmit ko na lang kay mil once released kasi sa jul25 namin pa lang siya iapply. hope this helps!

Cheroppy.. sis, both K's event and Rachelle is okay. May isa pang OTD na tagaytay based na recommended ng dati kong ae, si Princess Apple. Who's your caterer ba?

For hosting naman, if willing ka budgetan talaga yun separately then madameng mas professional other than these OTD's hosting inclusion. In my part, ayaw na ni h2b gumastos sa hosting that's why i chose Rachelle, okay nman daw hosting sabi ni Gail ng Towns delight.

@Ziyi - forgot to mention,  we had our Pre-cana last March sa LA. Our canonical interview and confession was done 2 days before our wedding. Nakiusap lang kami kasi ang dating ng hubby ko was 7 days prior sa wedding date namin. Naintindihan naman nila nung nakiusap kami. Best of luck sis.

nikkipedia: Sa Villa Ibarra kami sis, sila na din yung caterer namin. Nakakuha na pala kami ng OTD coordinator, hindi tagaytay based pero nagustuhan naman ng mom ko at ni h2b hehe. Thanks sis!

Feb 18 ako sis annamoly.

Thanks sa reply sis Nikkipedia and Missus O. We will be in Tagaytay this weekend for our food tasting sa TD so dadaan na rin kami ng OLLP para mgpaschedule ng Canonical Interview. Hopefully may wedding din para mapanuod ko. Ewan ko ba lately mas nagiging oc ako sa mga details hehe.

Update lang on the Canonical Interview.. Makakapagpaschedule ka pa lang pala kpag napasa mo na yung mga requirements hehe. Whereas, the Pre-cana seminar pwede na namin gawin as early as now pwedeng sa OLLP na rin or other churches provided that you will get a certificate of attendance from them.

We're getting married on May 2017 pa naman, plan namin ayusin sa November, tama lang ba or need na mas late pa?

Apply for the following 6 mos before your wedding:
-Baptismal Certificate for marriage purpose
-Confirmation Certificate for marriage purpose
-Copy of Birth Certificate
-CENOMAR
-3 copies 1x1 & 1 copy of 2x2 colored & recent ID

Apply 120 days or 4mos before wedding:
-Marriage License (this can be applied to either of your respective City Halls)

Canonical Interview
-to be scheduled by the parish secretary after you have passed the needed requirements (except for marriage license).

Pre-Cana Seminar
-every 2nd Sunday of the month 8am to 5pm. Allowed to attend seminar in other parishes: Discovery Weekend or Catholic Engaged Encounter provided there is a Certificate of Attendance

Apply at least 2mos before wedding
-Permission from the couple's Parish Priest (Request for permission will be issued by the Parish Secretary of OLLP together with Marriage Banns from which a certain amount will be charged).
-Certificate of Authority to Solemnize Marriage (if you prefer a different priest to officiate your wedding)

List of Entourage and Principal Sponsors
-to be submitted at least 1 month before the wedding

Confession
-anywhere is allowed

hi sissies! Just came back from my 10 days vacation sa pinas...but for me di talaga sya matatawag na vacation haha Kasi super busy!!! Nakakahagardo  Versoza...share ko Lang mga sis tapos na ko sa canonical interview:) na submit ko na din mga requirements except the ff: marriage license (to follow Ito), reply slip sa marriage banns from our local parish and banns sa church dito sa uae (nagpapadala din pala sila nito if overseas bride and groom), Celebret and copy of certificate ng priest who will do our ceremony (this is if may Ibang priest kayo na gusto magkasal sa inyo, in my case papa lbc ng lolo kong pari yung docs Nya) and lastly, nakalimutan ko Lang I submit .. List ng entourage.

^How much binayaran mong banns sis @nikkipedia?

^sa OLLP sis wala na kong binayaran, i paid lang the 50% balance. if banns sa mga parishes namin, no idea sis. si mil ang nagdala na sa parishes, pero i guess kung meron man mababa lang kasi di sya nanghingi ke fiance ng pambayad e,or even reimbursement hihi

^I inquired also with some friends na kakakasal lang and meron nga sila binayaran pero iba-iba amount depende sa parish, nag-rarange from 200-1,500k and some are even free usually mga parishes sa province.

Due to some circumstances pala we had to move our date to June 2017 instead of Feb 2017. Buti nalang maaga pa at di pa ko nagstart magapply ng church requirements with 6mos validility so iaadjust ko nlng ulet. And fortunately too, may isa pang Saturday na free sa OLLP sa month ng June at lahat ng suppliers namin free pa din on the same date! Wheew!

Wow sis Ziyi June bride ka na!:) good thing na free ang mga suppliers sa new date mo. Noon I was thinking I move wedding namin to Feb na Lang Pero iniisip ko pa Lang ang mga booked suppliers na stress na ko Kaya di ko na  tinangka Ibahin

^Hehe. Nastress nga ako sa pgreresched kasi lahat tinawagan nmin to confirm if available pa sila. Nakatulong na some suppliers post their event schedules on their website so nalaman namin agad pero the rest, we have to call isa-isa. Si OLLP over the phone lang nmin din kinausap naging maayos naman. Nakailang tawag nga kami sa knila dahil 3 months yung mga pinagpilian nmin akala ko makukulitan na samin haha. Sinabihan lang kmi na next na visit namin dun ipakita yung receipt para machange din yung date. Hopefully the June date na napili ko di pa maulan. Ayoko kasi gumamit ng tent hehe.
