Accdg to my pedia, if hindi baby, approprate age should be 12 na. cost as of now is 15K.

^^check out smart parenting website may article sila about circumcision. my son will undergo this pero baka first week of May na he is 10yrs. old.

that article is super helpful may mga prices din and hospitals where you can have it done. public hospitals are cheaper mga nasa P500-1000.

Had my son circumcized when he was 2 days old, done by surgeon, I think it cost 5K? He slept thru the whole procedure.

Both of my sons were circumsized days after birth. My OB was the one who did it. On my second ko na lang nalaman na wala palang anesthesia pag baby pa nacircumsize. BUT Id rather have it done that way kesa malaki na siya.

I'll have this done to my kids when they're older, unless a medical condition requires it to be done right after birth. Circumcision for a newborn makes them prone to infection.

My pedia strongly recommended having my boy circumcised to prevent infections naman.

It was done by my OB who did an amazing job. Wala pa one week, tuyo na.

^crzysxycl, my brothers had theirs done nung nasa grade 5 or 6 na yata sila. even with my eldest son, ganun gagawin ko. pati na rin sa baby namin if it turned out to be a boy. hesitant ako kasi infant e, risk for infection, bleeding, meatitis,, not enough skin has been taken off or vice versa, partial amputation ng penis (omg) basta i can't imagine those things happening lalo na babies can't tell you how they are feeling. so even if I'm in the medical field, i'd say NO muna.

^thanks sa reply sis! ☺ yung bros ko rin 11 or 12 sila nagpa circumcise, sa house lang namin nagpunta yung doctor since may kasabay pa silang 2 cousins namin na tinuli rin.

^^sis may anesthesia ba ginamit sa baby mo? was it done right after he was born or days after pa? Sorry, wala kasi ako idea. Thank you!

Hi Sis! My eldest is now 6, bunso is 16mos. Wala naming problem nor infection. It looked maga or "nangangamatis" a few hours after the circumcision but after a day or so ok naman na. Me antibacterial cream naman na nilalagay. At first I was afraid to put nappy kasi baka madikit si tuytuy sa nappy pero hindi naman. It's ok to put diaper right after the operation. This is husband and I's mutual decision to have them circumcised right after birth.

our pedia asked us before we left the hospital, but we told him hindi na muna. not for anything else but we want our boylang to undergo that traditional "rite of passage" when he's of age (maybe 11 or 12yo) na.

Ano ba advantage kapag tuli na while still baby? Then what is also the disadvantage?

my son is 12 yrs old. last week lang namin siya pinatuli. we tried sa hospital nung una, pero hindi pa daw siya "Tagpos". hindi ko pa alam meaning nun, inexplain lang samin ng nurse. pero actually, pwede naman daw ituloy yung tuli, kaya lang mas matagal daw healing process pag hindi tagpos tsaka mas prone mangamatis. may inadvice sila sa anak ko na gawin para pagbalik namin, ready na siya tuliin. kaya lang ayaw gawin ng anak ko yung advice. then may nirecommend yung mother in law ko na surgeon sa may cainta junction. si Dr. Baria The Surgical Specialist. Laser na siya tapos mura lang, 1,500. sandali lang daw yung sakit sabi ng anak ko. paguwi namin normal lang siya maglakad and all and nakabrief pa siya and nakapag mall pa kami, naka pants pa siya. ang gamot niya lang is antibiotic and pain reliever. yung mismong tahi, hindi pwedeng galawin or basaiin, kailangan bumalik after 5 days sa clinic para icheck up, tsaka sila narin magtatanggal ng bandage. medyo masakit lang after tanggalin yung bandage, pero the next day, okay na ulit siya, nakakapagbasketball na. tomorrow pwede na niya basain kasi tuyo na yung sugat.

^^For me sis advantage is iwas infection. A nephew of a co worker hindi tinuli after birth, tapos na UTI, tapos recommended nang pedia is icircumcise pa rin. For what I know, it is cheaper to have the baby circumcise at birth rather than a few years na (this Im not sure). Iwas stress sa bata, how would you feel if you will be told that you will undergo "surgery" in a few days, weeks, months?

Disadvantage? I cant think of any. hehe
