HOW TO RECOGNIZE AND SUPPORT MUSICALLY INCLINED KIDS?

Hi Mommies,

I have a 1 year old and 3 months daughter. Recently she is showing interest in watching kids playing drums. She's interested  in drums compared to guitar. As a parent my husband has a little bit of knowledge on playing guitar. Enough to play more than words chords haha! As for me I love to sing but I don't know how to play any musical instruments.

For mommies who have a musically inclined/gifted kids. How did you recognized that your kids are into music or playing musical instruments? Should i try to buy her a 1-2pc of drum set? (for toddlers of course).

I want to support her sa hilig nya. May it be music or sports or anything that she would love and be passionate about.

Or is it too early for me to conclude that she's into music/playing drums?

I inquired about learning to play musical instruments for my son before who was 3 years old, all schools that i asked said he was still too young to formally learn an instrument. They usually start around 5 or 6 years old kasi di pa daw developed fine motor skills nila. I guess, if your kids like music at a very young age, just continue to expose them, kahit play-play lang. Our family friend, who is an educator said that classical music nga daw is the best type of music to expose them in eh. It really has studies of stimulating the brain and behavior in children. Pero kung may personal kayong kilala na private tutor, i guess pwede start earlier basta ready yung bata. Ang dami nga jan na may piano concerts na at 5 years old eh. Hehe. The best instruments daw are Piano, cielo or violin. Thats what i heard. Good luck to us mommies in supporting our kids' interests. 😀

Kaya nga baka it's too early to tell noh? Baka she's just amazed of those kids playing drums in the internet (you tube).

Pero i was just really curios kasi those kids were 5 y/o na pero kung maka tugtog sila ng drums eh parang pro na sila. So was wondering pano exposure nila sa drums diba? or any other instruments. Some articles says that their kids started playing (instruments) at 2 y/o.

Well, basta support nalang antin kids natin sa hilig nila.

My son started taking violins lessons when he was six years old. They first assessed him because you need to have a certain grip and endurance to be able to hold the violin properly. 

We were encouraged to introduce music to our son because we needed to channel his energy and provide constant stimulus, learning how to play a musical instrument would help him do that.

Not sa instruments yung son ko, but sa singing, he was 14 months when i heard him singing a song that he probably "made" it just says "yeah yeah.. Yeah yeah.." I was able to take a video of it luckily coz i was really taking a video of him walking around. He was holding a toy guitar then. Around that time din, he loves singing do you wanna build a snowman and let it go, shempre hindi pa buo ang words... Few days would past, id hear his "song" uli, same na same ang tune pitch ganun.. Until he started to talk na, he could sing hi-5 songs and nursery rhymes, commercials, by 2 and a half siguro he sings on the wings of love and other otwol songs (LOL) shempre not full lyrics me words na kung ano lang nadidinig nya, plus other songs din, hes actually exposed to singing, coz my sister and her boyfriend are singers, i'd say professional ones since they are currently using it for a living. He is exposed to them since he was born, sanay sya sa mga taong kumakanta sa bahay namin. recently, my sister tried to exercise his vocals, doremi.. Yes, nasa tono sya and she's saying na magaling makinig yung son ko ng tune/pitch.. No pressure right now, pero baka next year kung pwede na sya i-voice lessons na din namin. He's 3 lang now. Isa pang parang nakakahiligan ng son. Ko is "hosting"  palagi sya me mic tapos nagprepresent ng hi-5 complete with "brought to you by chenes" "are you excited?" Welcome etc haha! Another skill he might like to hone in the future
