All Time Favorite Horror Movie

I am a super fan of gory/horror/suspense/thriller/psychological films. Sa sobrang dami ko ng napanood, wala na kong mahanap. Can you share your favorite horror films, yung tipong di talaga kayo nakatulog for several days kakaisip nun?

Here is my list so far:

1. The Ring

3. Orphan (pretty cool story)

apir tayo sis yannuh! mahilig din ako sa horror movies. ang dami ko na din napanood, mapalocal, hollywood, thai, chinese, korean at japanese. hindi ko na iisa isahin kasi madami talaga, hehe. eto yung mga movies na grabe ang impact sa akin:

1. Shutter- one of the best horror films that I watched. eto yung movie na naging dahilan kung bakit medyo praning ako pag sumasakit ang batok ko, hehe

2. Insidious- Hindi ako matatakuting tao, I actually enjoy horror movies pero dito eh natakot talaga ako. Ang freaky pa ng ending!

3. The Exorcism Of Emily Rose- Yung scene na tumatak sa akin eh yung umikot yung ulo ni Emily Rose. Pati yung roommate kong Indian na nagkataong pumasok sa room namin sa particular scene na yun eh naparanoid at natakot ng ilang araw. Sinisi pa niya ako kasi hindi na din daw siya mapakali pag 3 am eh night duty pa naman siya, hahaha

4. Sleepy Hollow- Bata pa ako nung napanood ko ito. Mahilig kasi yung Papa ko noon na magrent ng VCD movies. Hanggang ngayon naalala ko pa yung creepy music ng movie na ito.

5. Halimaw Sa Banga- This is a Pinoy classic. Isa sa dahilan kung bakit medyo ilag ako sa mga malalaking banga, haha

Corny ako in a sense na sobra akong natatawa while watching horror movies lalo na yung alam kong di pwedeng mangyari in reality. Mas kabado pa ako sa mga action movies hahahaha!

Mas natatakot ako sa mga alam kong realistic like:
1. The Exorcism of Emily Rose - ulit ulit ko tong pinanood. Still fascinated with how exorcism goes. Vivid sakin yung scene na kinausap sya ni Mother Mary kung bakit nangyayari ang mga sapi.
2. Mirrors - Aside na like ko yung mga jump scare, gusto ko yung pagka-unique nung storyline. Vivid pa yung scene nung history kung bakit haunted yung building.
3. Paranormal Activity (1st movie) - di ako nakatulog dito! hila paa moments kasi tapos di alam kung ano talaga kalaban. nainis ako kasi di naman na-solve yung problem. the succeeding movies corny na.

The Ring - Na-watch ko yung Japanese and American version and mas nagustuhan ko yung former

Conjuring- Pinakanakakatakot na movie na napanood ko. Maraming beses ako sumigaw nung 1st time ko siya panoorin.

Add ko din yung SAW pala. Yung part 1 ata ng movie maganda, yung mga sumunod waley na :p

Maganda din sana yung concept nung MAMA. Sa umpisang part nagalingan ako pero bumaba na yung kwento nung kalagitnaan at naging fantasy na. Kaloka!

Idagdag ko pa ang COMING SOON. Thai horror film siya. Natakot talaga ako nung napanood ko.

I love horror movies! Same kami ng mom ko na mahilig sa ganitong genre pero mas matapang nga lang siya kesa saken lol For me, the best talaga ang mga asian horror movies

South Korea:
1. A Tale of Two Sisters - One of the first south korean movies na napanood ko and it's really creepy. Galing ng pagkakagawa.

2. The Host - This is scary, funny and touching melodrama movie. I love this monster film! Definitely a must watch.

3. Three…Extremes - This is actually a collab from three asian directors (Korea, Japan and Hong Kong) so expect that you'll get really scared and creeped out.

4. One Missed Call - I hate that ringtone lol

5. Mourning Grave - Ayokong makita kung ano yung nasa ilalim ng mask, katakot haha!


Thailand:
1. Shutter - I think every horror fan should watch this movie. Ang creepy talaga ng hitsura ni Natre kahit nung hindi pa siya ghost.

2. Coming Soon - Shomba, why do you have to appear kahit na ang daming tao sa paligid? XD

3. Art of the Devil 1, 2 and 3 - Dark magic at its finest.

4. Pee Mak - A comedy horror film If you love Mario Maurer then go ahead and watch this. Ang ganda nga pala ni Davika Hoorne <3

5. Alone - More of a psychological film so it's more focus on the story rather than the ghosts.

Local films:
1. The Healing - Hindi ko talaga ine-expect na matatakot ako sa movie na to. Ayoko kasi sa idea na pwede kang magkaron ng doppelganger eh. Ang scary ni Ynez Veneracion dito ha.

2. Feng Shui - Not a fan of Kris pero in fairness, maganda yung mga horror movies niya. Pero ang highlight saken yung scene ni Lotlot na nandun siya sa stairs. Sigaw talaga kami ng mom ko eh lol

3. The Road - This movie will haunt you. Great choice of actors too.

Hollywood films:
1. Insidious - The song, "Tiptoe Through The Tulips" by Tiny Tim, gave me goose bumps when I first heard it in the movie.

2. The Strangers - Actually, I don't like this kind of movie just because it scares me thinking na pwedeng pwede to mangyari in real life. You're not really safe even if you're just at home.

3. Sinister - Kids killing the adults. Uh oh. So many scary scenes.

sis yannuh, napanood ko yang saw franchise. tama ka, maganda yung unang film tapos waley na yung mga sumunod. very disturbing yung movie, at least for me.

napanood ko din yang coming soon. i went through this thai movies phase kasi. ako naman hindi ako natakot kay shomba. actually, naawa ako sa kanya.

kung gusto ninyo ng horror comedy, watch 4bia and 4bia 2. Thai movies siya na mala Shake Rattle And Roll. Lakas ng tawa ko dito.

I watched Feng Shui and The Road na pero yung The Healing hindi pa. Nacurious tuloy ako sis Miss Taken. Will watch this one of these days.

Agree with "The Strangers". Sobrang natakot din pala ako dito. At sobrang naawa sa couple. As in iniisip ko sya pag mag-isa ako. Yung Sinister may mga scary scenes din.

Medyo maganda rin pala ang concept ng "Silong" for me. Medyo creepy

The Others by Nicole Kidman, ok din sya Yung concept ng Feng Shui, ok din

Sis Miss Taken, Agree. in fair nga dito pinanood pa namin ang uncut, matatakot ka in a sense na ayaw mong mangyari or makita yun mga ganun eksena, Galing nga ni ynez umarte saka ayaw ko din un pulis na biglang namamaril! Hahaha

Wow, most of the movies mentioned here are on my list too! Mahilig din ako manuod ng mga horror/gore movies (pero hindi ko kaya like Saw/Chainsaw massacre) mas more on horror talaga ako > gore. Sa dami din ng napanuod ko pero eto yung mga tumatak sa akin until now kapag naiisip ko, natatakot pa din ako (sarap pampatulog) haha

Japanese:-

1. 1. The Grudge 1 & 2 - eto yung era ng mga japanese movies (along w/ The Ring) na talagang na-perfect nila ang pananakot sa mga audience. Ang memorable scene sakin dito was everytime na lalabas yung nanay na ghosts especially crawling downstairs with that creepy face on. Accidentally kong nai-untog yung muka ng sis ko sa pader sa takot 

Korean:-


1. Epitaph - Most of korean horror movies has twisted plots, so most of the time hindi ko masyadong naintindihan yung flow ng eksena pero the time na yung mag-nanay na ghosts (again with creepy face on and blood all over their bodies) talagang ang tagal ko bago nakarecover.

2. One Missed Call - first time I've seen and known Ha Ji Won, again, memorable scene: yung pinatay na dalaga nadiscover ni HJW sa pag-tuklap ng pader. Scary.

3. Whispering Corridors - Wishing Stairs - sabi nila lesbian theme daw ito, lahat ng gulat factor nagulat talaga ako haha.

Local Movies:-

1. Feng Shui - lahat ng scene dito walang tapon, lahat may gulat at nginig factor talaga 
2. The Road - 2nd to my fave Feng Shui, couldn't believe na nagampanan ng husto ng mga characters nila Rhian, etc. magagaling sila dito. At ang ganda ng twist ng dulo. galing ng story, parang hindi filipino movie LOL.
3. Sukob
4. Villa Estrella - unexpected pero ang galing din ng story. natakot din ako dito.

Hollywood:-
1. Exorcism of Emily Rose
2. The Others
3. Orphan
4. Skeleton Key
