MANILA - Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte on Thursday confirmed that he has a bank account at the Bank of the Philippine Island (BPI) branch on Julia Vargas Avenue in Pasig City, just hours after his spokesperson denied its existence.

Duterte, however, insisted that the account does not contain P211 million, as alleged by Senator Antonio Trillanes IV.

Speaking to reporters in Bataan, Duterte said he has two bank accounts which contain only P50,000 and P17,000 each.

Journalist Ellen Tordesillas, on her Facebook account, also posted a copy of a deposit slip which proves that the account exists.

"A friend went to BPI an hour ago to find out if the expose of Sen. Trillanes on Duterte's account is true. Using the bank account number she saw in the Inquirer, she deposited P500. It's validated. The account is existing. Here's the deposit slip," Tordesillas said

This should have been reported by BPI and tagged as "suspicious" transaction na by AMLC. From what I understand kasi from the AMLA, the council can already initiate an investigation based on the submitted "covered" or "suspicious" transactions by the covered institutions.  Isn't the 197M deposit in one day to a public official's account not enough to warrant an investigation by AMLC? Or wala lang talaga kwenta yung council?

Anyway, I'll still give Duterte the benefit of the doubt. The mere existence of that specific BPI account doesn't prove anything.

I always post sa fb ko about the news sa candidate na sinusupportuhan ko, I decided to not post and share already kasi may mga friendship na nadudungisan I do not know if in this case tinatalikuran ko ang share ko as a Filipino at ang paniniwala ko kasi I chose to be silent supporter na lang at binura ko na rin mga previous share ko, but I still support Duterte. This is because when I posted a question in my FB and my cousin replied galit siya.. so I decided to be a silent supporter na lang..

I have a honest question, why is the administration so afraid for Duterte to win or Mar to lose? Is there something that they are hiding na the only way na malalaman at mabulgar ito  pag napalitan na ang kasalukuyang administration. I do not have anything against Mar Roxas, he is decen, but the more Mar Roxas wants eagerly the President position all the more I want Duterte to win. I want to know what they do not want us to know..

personal interests lang naman yan sis. Businesses nila and all. E.g Mar Roxas anad his mining companies. Si Poe if she wins, she will be in debt of Cojuangco (Coco Levy fund). Si pnoy naman, maybe takot sya makasuhan like what he did to GMA. And for sure marami pa silang tinatago na takot silang malaman once na naupo na si Duterte. Roxas na lang di ba, he is accused of anomalous bidding projects rin like MRT etc. try mo read sis this link so you'll have more ideas yung mga anomalous projects ni Mar. And Poe's late father is a very close friend of the Sumulongs, particularly Komong Sumulong. Sumulong is related to the Cojuangco. Jose Cojuangco is married to Metring Sumulong. They are Cory's parents.

While si Roxas naman his Lola Roura De Leon is Related to Metring Sumulong. Roura is the wife of the late President Manuel Roxas.

bro - I understand that, lahat naman talaga sila kandidato and all of them really wants to win but not as desperate as Mar Roxas halos lahat ginagawa na niya, I know why Binay wants to win that bad, pero Poe of course another hidden tuta of the administration so if she wins so still safe. Given na yung protection but there's also that continuity of programs. Eh bakit ba si Duterte salitan with his kids sa Davao di ba. He's protecting what he built. But the anti-Duterte camp, which I am a sympathizer to I have to admit-- we are terrified of the Duterte presidency. I personally like his accomplishments. But I don't like the price we have to pay for the possibility of good governance on a national scale. Especially when his Exhibit A is debatable din naman.

I was reading the transcript of his speech to the MBC ba yun. Whatevs. And I think with Duterte, he has seen too much violence and criminality. Sya na din nagsabi na he has spent a long time as a prosecutor. But what he is advocating--to just dispense of the due process- reflects his narrow vision. On one side, yes, merong mga kriminal talaga who deserve to be punished. But we also can not disregard the fact that there are so many people who are innocent & are falsely accused. We need a leader who understands that he needs to see everything from every angle.

Davao City, by the way, is in no objective list of the safest cities in the world. Paki-Google na lang. It only really appears on Numbeo, where the results are voted upon and thereby, lends itself to subjectivity. Hindi sa hindi sya mahalaga. But it doesnt give us an accurate picture of the true conditions of a particular place. However, Davao City is on OECD's list of high risk fragile cities. To be fair, that level is based on many factors, including response to disasters. So hindi lang safety ang minimeasure. Pakihanap na lang. Pagod na ako eh. 😁

A few friends of mine asked me on what's my take on the most recent electoral circus involving Mayor Rody Duterte and Senator Antonio "Sonny" Trillanes IV. Allow me to finally break my silence.

As a practicing software engineer of more than a decade, I'd like to answer using what I believe I do best, LOGIC.

Pre-conditions and Assumptions:
✔ Duterte is protected by RA 1405 otherwise known as Bank Secrecy Law unless otherwise he waives his right for such protection
✔ Duterte wanted Trillanes to file an "AFFIDAVIT" first before he discloses his bank records to the public
✔ Trillanes is trailing the VP Race since time immemorial

Logical Conclusions:
As you can see, there are only two (2) possible logical conclusions for Mr. Trillanes, and these are the following:

Number 1. Trillanes uses "Fake" Bank Documents
Since the documents circulating in the media are not legal instruments representing the bank records of the Mayor unlike a bank certificate or passbook, it is likely that these are fabricated evidences.

Number 2. Trillanes uses "Authentic" Bank Documents
The documents are authentic and represent actual transactions performed by a depositor or depositors to the account of the 2 Duterte's. This also logically implies that Trillanes "breached" RA1405 otherwise known as Bank Secrecy Law for being able to get a hold of these documents without AMLC or any court order.

What is the purpose of the AFFIDAVIT Duterte wanted Trillanes to produce?

If Number 1 is true, Trillanes' supposed AFFIDAVIT will qualify his falsification attempts as "PERJURY ON AN OATH" which is a criminal offense under Revised Penal Code.

If Number 2 is true, Trillanes' supposed AFFIDAVIT is an admission that he committed breach on RA 1405 otherwise known as Bank Secrecy Law. He will also be punishable by law for such.

Summary:
Regardless of whatever is the truth, whether Duterte has ill gotten wealth or not, TRILLANES IS A LAW BREAKER and a possible criminal with probable cause.

But if he will not file an AFFIDAVIT, then we can all safely say that these are all media stunts no different from his stupid rebellions some years ago.

YAN ANG PROBLEMA MR. TRILLANES IF YOU F**K AROUND A SEASONED LAWYER LIKE DUTERTE.
