^ Noted on this sis! Magpapalagay pa naman ako ng pin sa gown. Thank you!  ;)

^Sis sorry to ask pero what do you mean ng "di lahat in-invite"? You mean ba parents and siblings ninyo lang ang present sa wedding?

Hello sis! Yes. Parents, siblings, and close friends lang invited. No titos/titas (unless they're our godparents), no cousins... so all in all around 50-70max lang invited. :)

we're around  11 months away from our big day, at eto na.. nagsstart na lumabas ang mga requests ni FMIL about inviting mostly family members and less friends. hahaha  ;D

from the start naman hati kame ni h2b fair and square sa headcount. usapan namin, sya bahala mag decide sa kung sino gusto nya iinvite sa 100 pax na allotted sakanya. kaya when his mom started voicing out na "ay si ganito nung kinasal puro halos kamag anak etc etc" medyo nastress si h2b kasi originally no cousins yung plan nya. so yun, I don't know how it would turn out pero I made sure na clear kay FMIL na solely si h2b ang mag ddecide sa allocation ng headcount sa side nya at waley akong say dun ;D

^^Thanks for answering sis.

^Maganda yang naisip mo sis. Si h2b na ang accountable sa family niya if may hindi mainvite, kadalasan kasi si bride ang nai-stress sa mga bisita na gusto i-add ng inlaws

I'm having a hard time choosing between Tagaytay or Manila.. ang sabi ng h2b baka wala daw pumunta kung Tagaytay because our date is 12.30 ang sad naman nun!

I like Tagaytay kasi bukod sa destination wedding eh duon ang first date namin--sa SB Tagaytay pa nung bago pa ang SB dun...

No problem naman kung Manila kaso dami kong excuse why I don't like- (Traffic, Traffic and Traffic)

Hayy just venting..  :-\

^Sis you mean ba Dec30? Traffic na din yan date na yan sa Tagaytay. My friend lives in Tagaytay and 7hrs daw ang ibinyahe niya from Manila to Tagaytay ng date na yan because of traffic.

^^Super traffic sa Tagaytay pag weekends, holidays, and whole of December. December is wedding peak season kasi. Parang Manila traffic na rin, wala galawan coz maliit lang roads dun. If youre going to pick Tagaytay, consider asking your entourage to be there the night before your wedding.

Ladies take note, if what's written on the baptismal certificate is mom's married name and not maiden name, most likely they will ask you to have it changed to your mom's maiden name. Reason for this is the mother's name must be consistent with what's written on her birth certificate and marriage certificate. This is such a hassle for me. Fiance lives overseas and will only come home a month before the wedding. As much as I want to obtain all documents early, I can't fix it myself as I need an SPA to do so.

Sis, same problem I had before having the final decision on the location. Our wedding is Dec 29 naman. IMO sis, Manila is a better choice for both our dates eh. kasi usually nakakastress na lumabas ng manila during those days dahil sa mga mag sspend ng new years eve OOT. plus the traffic naman is much more manageable sa manila on both days (nag try kame mag ikot ikot ni h2b para alam namin what to expect). ang bad traffic lang eh usually yung malapit sa palengke or malls.

on the other hand sis, kung OOT naman talaga gusto mo, you can explore other options na less travelled like rizal, antipolo or cavite.. may mga nice venues din sa mga places na yan minus the tagaytay view :) happy preps sis!

^ hi sis! i agree. sad to say pero mas traffic pa yata ang tagaytay kesa sa manila sa date na yan since holiday yan, napakaraming tao sa tagaytay. better to arrange accommodations lalo na sa entourage kung kaya ng budget  :)

To overseas brides and brides having their weddings out of town, when did you have your canonical interviews and pre cana seminar? The usual is a month before pero uwi kasi kami ng 2 months before for prenup and my cousin's wedding so gusto sana namin iadvance. Papayag kaya yung church? My mom will try to talk to the priest though, keeping my fingers crossed. Sana pumayag para hindi kami magpabalik balik.

^ Hi sis. My wedding is on May 2017. I'm not an overseas/out of town bride, pero share ko lang na for the pre-cana seminar, natuwa pa yung mga staff sa church that we attended this much much earlier (August 2016). Sabi nila mas maganda pa raw na mas maaga kasi it would give us more time to think about our plans for marriage. The other couples who attended the pre-cana seminar na kasabay namin, around after 3-5 months pa sila ikakasal that time.  :)

For the canonical interview, they scheduled us 2 weeks or 1 month before the wedding provided na halos lahat ng requirements namin sa church complete na.

I'm not sure if this is the same with the other parishes, pero ask nyo rin sainyo. ;)

^Yay sis Marywater thank you!. I guess yung precana nga pwede iadvance, yung canonical interview yung medyo hindi kami sure. I hope they allow us to have it 2 months before the wedding. Baka kas iba iba nga for every Parish. huhuhu.. We'll make sure nalang to have all docs ready before May 17, 2016 (date for our trip home. our wedding is on July 15 2017) so we can ask them for an early canonical interview.

Our canonical interview is in January for our May wedding. So I think pwede naman advanced pero depende na din sa priest.

We started receiving na RSVPs, almost all of them are declines. So medyo sad pero at the same time, we were expecting this. So far, 34 pa lang ang sure na guests namin.

Thank you so much sis LilaFowler! I hope our parish priest allow us to have ours in advance as well.

Do you have any plans of replacing the guests who declined?

No plans to replace guests. We invited almost 200 guests pero we only expect talaga 75. The 125 are courtesy invites like kamaganak na malayo and family friends.

We are targeting 75 pero 32 pa lang ang sure. So medyo worried ako na lalangawin ang wedding namin.

Just barely 2weeks from our wedding day and I'm having problems with one of my suppliers.
I am sharing my personal experience and honest opinion with this particular supplier (no offense to anyone) She is very popular here and based from good reviews from other members, I really thought she could deliver but I was wrong! Due to limited time and budget,we booked Mel Orlina.
I've met her a few times actually, napansin ko when u ask her to do a sketch or design ideas, she will just ask u what you like, then gets her ipad and google different photos of gown. Then she will sketch na (she's very good in sketching) but take note she's just copying what is online. She really doesn't give you anything but merely suggesting or showing you other dresses na yeah ang ganda sa picture BUT you wouldn't know if okey with your own body type. Fittings, her assistants were all helpful and mabait, there was a time na sinisigawan nya kahit may mga clients, there was even a bride who requested to add more details sa gown nya she just politely said okey gawan namin yan paraan then after she left sabi nya agad sa assistant nya "ang damidami nyang gusto singilin nyo yan sa mga additional nya!" - sorry if this is long.. So back to my orders from her, my family was so disappointed with their gowns literally mas maganda pa ang RTW! Could you believe she even asked her assistants to help her kung ano ang gagawin nya remedyo sa gown at hindi na daw nya alam! I mean you're the designer?! so WTH! So now, luckily we found another supplier who will do new gowns for my family(kahit super rush!) super sayang our time, our money and nakaka-stress!
I am not at all hindering you to get her as your designer, I think we have our own styles and opinion. I just wish everyone getting married to really choose your suppliers very well and trust your instincts. I guess you really get what you paid for.

Ladies, usually how many weeks before the wedding nyo makukuha yung entourage gowns? Kasi samin, di pa tapos. Medyo nagpapanic na ko. Hehe Our wedding is on Feb 18.

hi sis dsexy sorry to hear your experience from her service and i understand your stress kahit na sinong bride talaga maiinis sa nangyari. I'm a mel orlina bride too, hindi ko rin siya kinuha sa ento gowns cause i feel na hindi nya talaga forte yun.

As for the bride, based on my experience usually  she will ask you what you want and she will sketch from there, but i didnt experienced she has copied the same gown as the other bride's design ( i even have 4 sketches before the approval) . From what i experienced when i came to her shop one time when some of her assistant are doing other gowns, a new client asked her if she can have the same design as the other kasi nga ang ganda nung lace, she said she cannot copy the same but she will make her a new design nalang and she will present new materials. It also happened to me when i asked her if same applique yung gamitin from what i saw in the internet(one of her recent bride), even the applique daw one per client lang ayaw nya kasi magkaissue ng duplication.

As for the attitude, i have seen her on her stress periods,  some of your comments i'm not surprise na, pero what i really like about her is she is straightforward and no hidden cost, tolerable pa siya from what i experienced (i have seen worst on other designers) .

My gown is not yet finished  so i cannot further elaborate my reviews from here, so far my first fitting is superb and i cannot wait for my second fitting. But thank you for the heads up sis, it's true that this will help future bride to decide on their future designer and it's something that they should consider.

I'm sure your wedding will be perfect and congratulations in advance.
