almost 4 months na rin ako nagtratrade. When I started, kuripot ako so I don't want to spend even one cent sa resources. So puro youtube ako. Na-gegets ko naman pero yun napapanood ko is hind yun philippine stock market ang example. Hirap ako iapply sa real life kasi ako yun tipong I learn if yun examples is same sa papasukan ko (in this case, the philippine stock market). Tapos parang putol putol pa learning process ko sa youtube. I remember nagstart ako sa different patterns, tapos mamya how to detect breakout, tapos mamya indicators. After 1 month, surrender ako and sabi ko bibili ako ng book on trading.
I bought Trading Code. Doubtful ako una bumili kasi there are reviews na nabasa ko na hype lang siya, na you can read the same content online naman. But I told myself na iba ako, Slow ako matuto talaga (especially to something new like the stock market. Yun tipong pati colors ng candlestick nagtatanong pa ako bakit red and hindi blue) if walang book or if I don't attend detailed seminar on it. Mahal seminar, so book na lang. Fortunately, big help siya. At least mas-nagets ko na and mga examples is mga stocks sa Philippines talaga. After reading the book, I have the basics na on trading.
Pero problem ulit, I don't know what stocks to buy kasi I don't have a trading plan. My friend told me important ang "plan your trade, trade your plan". Kala ko wala lang yan, naisip ko kasi madami naman choices na stocks, I can choose anything. Ayun, one month nahirapan din ako. Ang dami kong gustong bilhin, tapos nahirapan ako kasi may daytime job ako (pero not that busy naman so nakaksneak in ako ng free time to check sa charts). Pero I can't do yun full time trading talaga. I decided to make a motto sa stock picks ko. I decided not to pick stocks that do business related to gambling, tobacco, cigars and alcholic drinks. Yes, it sounds exag pero sabi ko sa sarili ko, kahit nung naghahanap ako ng work dati, yan din motto ko. And sa 300companies sa pse, I'm sure makakahanap ako ng stocks na okay naman. So I printed the list of 300 companies, nagcross out isa isa, research on each company what they do etc. I trimmed it to 30 companies na lang ata. Yun ibang companies, although pasok sa motto ko, hindi ko gets chart nila kasi minsan puro wicks lang.
So another one month another struggle din kasi I can't seem to find what charts are okay. If I buy naman, parang walang nangyayari. I tried gathering info sa investa, pero useless kasi most of the comments and opinions aren't even related to the stock.
So I decided to enroll sa mga "stock group". I searched and found bookaka.com (Disclaimer: Wala kong commission dito and wala akong friends dyan. Ito napili ko kasi I saw one comment sa investagram who was talking about Nikki Yu. nacurious ako so I searched her up and found na isa siya sa mentors doon. I like the way she posts ng comments kasi hindi siya nagspoon feed. She teaches you how to fish, and not gives you the fish). They have several mentors dun where you can get first hand experience of their expertise and stocks which they believe can have a big profit for certain weeks. Hit and miss din. I enrolled sa two mentors. One mentos costs 1500 for one quarter, so it's only 500 per month. From her recommendations, I chose 3. One of them is up by 25% in less than 10days, another is up by 10%, another by 2%. So worth it for me. Yun isang mentor na sinalihan ko, 1000 for 1 quarter. Hindi ko type kasi yun mga webinars nya, parang reading from powerpoint, so nadisappoint ako. Hindi ako nagsisi sa pagbayad, kasi alam ko beginner lang ako and I need the help I can get. Also, I know that I learn best if may nagtuturo. So ginagawa ko ngayon, pili ako sa stocks ng mga recommended ng mentor, then I try to chart it by myself. Then I compare sa chart na ginawa nila, dun nakikita ko if medyo similar ba naging outcome namin or hindi.
NAkakatawa lang, one of the most important sa trading is volume. Pero after 4 months in stocks, today ko lang nalaman paano basahin yun volume indicator and ngayon ko lang nalaman how volume plays a big role in determining if legit and breakout or hindi. Before, inaalis ko yun volume bars sa chart.
So now, I have 3 stocks (geri, tech and rox) for short term na pinili ko from recommendation ng mentor, and I have 1 for long term (ALI. I'm planning to add AC din, pero feel ko redundant na).
