^Sis, I would suggest na bumili ka ng The Trading Code. Nasa chapter 18 ang discussion about trailing stops. Pang-newbie ang explanation. May different methods - loose, tight, MA break, trendline break at percentage stop. Ang gamit ko MA break kc MAs serve as support din. Okay din ang percentage stop lalo na in managing the entire portfolio. Pero in my opinion, 3% is too tight unless day trader ka o kaya penny / zubaru stocks ang tini-trade mo na sobrang volatile ang movement (yung tipong today gain ng 15% tapos next day loss ng 20%). Pero kung blue chips naman o growth stocks, siguro dapat mas mataas ng konti. Kasi minsan ang pullback more than 3% tapos after a few days tuloy tuloy ang uptrend. But this is just my opinion based sa experience/observation ko. You know better what works for you.

Walang specific number of weeks, sis. Usually bumibili ako pag uptrend ang price then hold ko lang hanggang mag-change ang trend. Basta hindi lalampas ng one year.

Nabibigay yan ng trading platform. I use COL, and they have charting option but sa computer lang gumagana. If I use my mobile phone or ipad, ayaw mag open yun charting option. Investagrams meron din and same case as my COL

Mga sis noob question, wala kasi alam sa stocks pero gusto ko mag invest. Ask ko lang sana kung bibili po ba ako ng stocks sa jollibee, ayala, and other blue chip companies, okay lang po ba bumili then sell sila after 15yrs pa, or me tamang date ng pagbili at pagbenta. Dito ko sana itatabi yung ibang budget ko for my child's education, pang college nya. Thanks

^ sis, di ako expert pero pwede naman, cost averaging ang tawag, every month o certain time na gusto mo, bili ka. basta looooooong time ang pinaguusapan ha tapos few years bago mo need ang pera neeed mo pagisipan kung need na ilipat sa mas conservative na investment.

pero me nabasa din ako na mas ok pa din kung bibili gamit ang TA (technical analysis) kahit long term, sorry di ko maituturo kung paano kasi di pa din ako marunong ng TA hehe

Depende kasi yan sis sa investment horizon mo. Pero ibig sabihin kasi ng long-term ay more than 1 year, long-term na yun. Haha, in terms of investing naman, suggested long-term horizon ay at least 5 years. Kaya nga marami suggestions na yung iniinvest mo dapat ay pera na alam mo na hindi mo gagamitin in the long run.

So yung 10 to 15 years ay super long-term na.

^ ah ganun ba sis, kasi balak ko sana pang dagdag sa pag college ng babies ko 3 and 1yr old kaya 10-15yrs ko balak. super long na pala yun sa stocks. Thanks mga sis sa mga replies at least siguro pala pag aralan ko talaga mid to long term stocks investing.

^yes sis meron na din ako VUL from sunlife at manulife, uift din sa BDO, pero yung pag invest sa stock, wala talaga akong ka alam alam as in zero knowledge, nag back thread ako hindi ko ma gets ang ibang terms hehe. Kailangan ko muna siguro magbasa basa pa☺️

We've decided to open an account na in COL. OFW kami both ni hub. We have an enough amount to open a COL PLUS account. Tanong ko lang, example we have 50K-100K then invest namin sya for long term sa isang blue chip stock, is it better na one time funding lang then magdagdag nalang kami whenever we have an extra or we'll start with 25K as an initial fund then the rest of our money we will start doing PCA monthly? Then will continue buying for let say 3-5 years. Which is better kaya?

Ask ko rin if you have any idea with Joint Account in COL?

Not an expert pero if long time investment naman its up to you if one time funding o monthly. Pag mag monthly may chance na mapababa mo pa ang average price ng stock. Pag one time funding yun na yun. Pero sabi nga or long term investment at least 10 years up mo hawakan.

Hi sis, IMO wag mo muna invest lahat isang bagsakan. Mas okay na you divide it by 6 or 12 months and make regular purchases nalang in addition sa magiging monthly investment niu. Mas mamaximize yung PCA kapag ganyan.
