Babies due on LAST QUARTER OF 2016 (OCT, NOV, DEC)

Hi again. Sked ng cas ko sa 2nd wk of july sa slgc at 20 or 21wks namin.  Hoping the baby is all right and normal. Tsaka malalaman na rin ang gender.

2013 sa makati med ako nanganak. Inabot sa 125k ang expenses namin. Regular labor room, normal delivery, private room. Nursery ang baby and we stayed 3days.

My ob is affiliated in mmc and slgc only. So I asked her what if I try slgc this delivery. Wag na daw. Sa gastos same lang or mas mahal pa konti sa slgc. Probably mas maganda ang rooms pero for her mas competent ang staff ng mmc. So we will stick to mmc.

Something bothers me ngayon, yun endo ko. May 1 mataas na value ang ogtt ko so nirefer ako ng ob. She was my endo during 1st pregnancy.  Napakabait. Pero sa totoo lang I dont see the point of seeing her regularly (1-3x a month halos) and to monitor my sugar pa rin kahit negative ako sa prediabetes at mababa ang results ng sugar monitoring ko. Meaning wala ako gdm this time! Pero baka daw mag gdm ako sa 24-28th week. Duh, eh pinapa ogtt naman ako ng ob uli. Pina lab pa tsh ko and I went with it tapos medyo mababa value. Normal daw yun so uulitin ko monthly. What the heck. Parang gusto nya palabasin lahat ng sakit ah. I dont know how to say to my ob without sounding dismissive o disrespectful or undermining her professional abilities. Pero ang oa naman talaga. At unnecessary ang gastos.

^ ako din. Pinacheck tsh at ft4 ata yun. Pero once lang. Then twice a month din ako sa endo. I have prediabetes kasi. I take metformin and insulin tapos monitor ng blood sugar 4x a day upon waking up and 1 hour after each meal.

Pero damonsgirl, wala ako prediabetes at pinasa ko pa rin ang ogtt. I can't help but feel na unnecessary gastos ang pagpupunta sa endo. So I'd ask for a 2nd opinion.

My take kase with doctors eh they'd want to take full care of you. I understand that it means they're doing their jobs really well. But sometimes, you can do without those extra precaution. Example, my urinalysis shows I'm a likely candidate for uti. Some would prescribe antibiotics but my doctor would ask how the sample was taken (must be midstream and most labs aren't strict about this) and if I'm feeling any symptoms. Then she will gauge if I need to take the meds or not or if I need to repeat urinalysis.

How many women do you know have gone through their pregnancy without this fuss? Ako a lot. I grew up in the province where a family doctor is the all in one specialist. Ob, pulmonologist, pedia etc. Unless case is major, where patient needs to be referred to a specialist na. Ok some births get complications but most happen because of lack of funds or the mother is too complacent.

My point is, because I have access to these specialist and topnotch doctors, mas na complicate pa ang general care ko when otherwise, I could have just gone and enjoy my pregnancy journey. Ignorance is bliss ika nga.

Anyway, I just hope most of you will not encounter similar issues and you get to enjoy your journey. Lalo na sa 1st time moms here..

Di ko naipasa yun OGTT ko.. tumaas nung 2nd hour yun result. Gusto insulin shot agad, pero I asked my OB baka kaya pa ng diet. Pumayag naman for 3 weeks plus glucose monitoring tapos OGTT ulit. Nakakalungkot.

Done with my check up. 54 kgs nako from 51 last month! So hindi totoong pumapayat pa ako. Saka bigla lumaki tyan ko after 17 weeks. Kinakausap ko kasi lagi si baby na sana lumaki na sya dahil 4 months na pero lagi sabi ng mga tao parang di daw ako buntis dahil wala naman daw bump.

Sabi ng ob ko sa manila med, kung normal delivery daw and private room, prepare daw kami ng 85k. Kung cs naman daw roughly around 125k.

Binigyan na rin nya ako ng request kanina for CAS. Pero sa 24th week pa daw. Kasabay na gender scan. Ang tagal pa nun! First week of august pa.
Parang natetempt tuloy ako magpa ultrasound sa robinsons manila.

^^ako naman sis may ganyan akong experience sa previous ob sono ko. Every 2 weeks ako pinapabalik. Then lagi ultrasound. Tapos habang tumatagal parang dumadami complications ko. Kada check up, 8k bayad. Minsan 5k. Kaya lumipat kami ng ibang ob.

Grabe naman makahanap ng mga possible sakit ang mga o.b niyo. Haha.

Kahit CAS nga kung wala naman daw akong problema sa first trimester or sa pagbubuntis ko no need na daw kasi magastos. Tama na raw ang ultrasound ko noong 20th week. Ino-open ko kasi na kelan ako pwede mag pa CAS.

Ang sabi lang sa akin flu at booster ng tetanus kaso di naman compulsory ang flu kaya di ako nagpaturok.

^^ okay lang yan sis. 1 week difference lang naman. Saka bihira naman nakakaabot ng 40 weeks. Sabi 36 weeks daw safe na lumabas si baby. Imagine pag 40 weeks, 10 months tayong buntis!

isa pa iyan sa naguguluhan ako! hahaha! sabi nila pag first baby daw, expect to deliver 2 weeks in advance sabi naman ng iba, 2 weeks late! haha!

sis, ganyan din akin, biglang laki nya at 19weeks. medyo nakakagulat din ang weight gain! hahaha! mabilis na pati magutom, hinay hinay sa pagkain.

Yes I have history of gdm. Kaya maaga ako nag ogtt 100. 1st hr mataas value but ob explained na pag 2 values out of 4 extractions mataas ang considered gdm.

Pero ni refer pa rin sa endo for my peace of mind. Di ko naman akalain na si endo ay maghahanap ng mga ibang sakit. Akala ko once makita nya na maganda monitor at pasado ko tests for sugar ok na. Ngayon thyroid ko na nananahimik naman ang gusyo pakialaman!

I'd want to get cas kahit di sabihin ng ob ko. Kase gusto ko na malaman kung normal ba sa kanya ang lahat. Tsaka gusto ko malaman gender. Para mapag isipan na name.

1st time moms: Re sa gamit please choose unisex colors. Ilang friends ko na panay pink binili kase girl 1st baby tapos next anak boy puro pink gamit 😂😂😂 unless your may pang budget uli for complete boy sets naman.. pero kung di naman uber rich or with sponsors like mom celebrities, ipang tuition na lang yun extra gastos na yun. Hehe

Pinastop na rin pala ako ng ob ko sa pagtake ng duvadilan at utrogestan. Pero dapat daw lagi ako may dala atleast tig 3 para in case maramdaman ko magcontract, inom na daw ako kagad.

Balak ko magpa gender scan sa rob manila siguro next week. Para yung cas sa 24th week, validation na lang ng gender.

Naku, ganun daw ang mga endo, lagi daw lab tests ang gusto. Ako, nakita na mababa ang TSH level, ayun nadiagnosed na may hyperthyroidism at need imonitor huhu. 14K nagastos ko dati dahil sa mga lab tests na yan!

Pero on the brighter side, nagpa-CAS kami kahapon, and happy to say na normal and healthy si baby! After everything na nangyari sa 1st baby ko, sobrang relieved talaga ako na walang problem ang baby ko now. Nakita rin ang gender agad and Baby Boy siya. Hehe! Yun nga lang, yung 1st baby ko kasi ay Baby Girl so iniisip ko if bibili pa kami ng mga gamit niya or pwedeng yung kay baby girl ang gamitin since mga brand new pa naman sila. Keber na lang siguro kahit pink at mabulaklakin ang mga designs! Malay ba ng bata yun? Hahaha.

Takot din ako pa-CAS mga sis. Pero pray pray lang talaga. 19 weeks na ako today. Kelan ba pinapa ogtt? Baka mataas din sugar ko kasi hilig ko sa matamis simula week 1 hanggang ngayon never ako nahilig kumain ng maasim.

sabi nila, usually, CAS, 18-22 weeks. 18 weeks para Makita ng buo si baby, pag mejo malaki na cya, by body parts na Makita.

ogtt naman, 24weeks naman.

pero depende padin sa doctor.

Ako, may history na ako ng gdm at gestational hypertension last pregnancy ko. Pinasched na ako kagad ng ob ko for ogtt after ng first check up. Mataas yung last hour ko kaya nirefer ako sa diabetologist. Insulin ako kagad 2x a day at monitor glucose level. Buti na nga lang normal pa din blood pressure ko until now. Hoping na hindi na tumaas..

Naka schedule ako for CAS this friday @ 22 weeks sana maging okay lahat.

Praise the Lord mga sis. Just did my CAS today at 20 weeks and 2 days sa Hi-Precision and okay naman lahat kay baby. Yung placenta previa ko nalang ang problem sa ngayon which I hope mag improve pa by third trimester. Ang lakas talaga makakampante. Haaaay.
